Very good, authentic Mexican. I have never been disappointed by their offerings. Their carne asada and California burritos are excellent

Don't be fooled by the side of the road look. They have a great menu and all there looked like a happy customer. A lot of to go orders, including mine. They had it organized and made sure people got what they needed. Generous portion sizes. Breakfast menu, lunch, dinner, a little dessert, and some drinks. Get the salsa- so good!

All meat no beans pastor was all rice.

The tacos were good and fairly priced, and the deserts and sopapias were good. I highly recommend the carne asada tacos.

HOLY BURRITO! This place knocked it out of the park. Their food was so good! The amount of food was shocking. You can easily share a meal.

Honestly, you can choose from any number of places in the Old Town area in Florence. But if you…read morefancy a fabulous burger, other great food options, or maybe a cold craft beer, then Beachcomber might just be your spot. One thing to bear in mind is that this is still a BAR: that means no one under the age of 21 may cross the threshold. But, if weather allows, anyone of any age can sit outside. Beachcomber has several picnic tables set up, a few with umbrellas as they extended seating to the street, and that makes for a comfortable dining option in fair weather. There are a number of constant taps as well as seasonal/rotated local offerings. If you're an Untappd user, like me, then you can even check their beer options on the app ahead of time, or sign in while you're there so you can nerd out whilst enjoying your beer. I'm a sucker for anything malty, and when in a phenomenal beer-producing area like the PNW, then you will have plenty of Oregon/Washington choices. Fresh-hopped beer hits different when you're near the source. The burgers dot the menu, but do not miss the onion rings. These things are like beer-battered life preservers, so you probably will want to share because it's a HUGE pile of food. We've had burgers & other sammiches, but this past time I dove in for the highlighted Green Donkey. Well, 'we' dove in, because it's another enormous portion and sharing was the smart play. A marriage of beef & beans smothered in their queso and guac makes for a fantastic (albeit filling) lunch. I washed that down with a Pineapple Mana Wheat from Maui Brewing, a gently-hopped, light-bodied ale with that fruity finish. OK, so it's not 'local' but it is 'seasonal' and it's a great glass of bier. Service inside or out is quick and friendly, and they'll always offer a suggestion to fit your food or beer palate. I love doing local and Beachcomber represents that local anchor that is befitting of anyplace that has survived over three decades. You're on your own for parking, but there is a public lot a block or so away, plus you get a chance to window shop along the way. Beachcomber is 100% worth the stop, even if it's just to get off your feet, but enjoy the fare as well.

We sat there waiting to be acknowledged for ten minutes (we kept track) before getting up and leaving. Ended up at another place down the street instead. Multiple staff members walked by us, looked at us, and kept going instead of even acknowledging us. No menus, no water, nothing. We were starving and couldn't wait around for poor service to drag their feet so we left. The place was also filthy. It was sticky, dirty, and smelled like old cigarettes. I'm fairly certain someone started smoking while we were there because the smell got stronger out of nowhere. Bathrooms were dingy and graffitied. Bar full of what looked like regulars. The food I did see (some kind of soup, maybe?) looked greasy and clumpy. Avoid if you value your time and health!

We got menus quickly and were able to place our orders within ten minutes of arriving, a huge improvement from the last place! I ordered the bacon avocado burger with fries and my friend got the patty melt with coleslaw. Our food arrived about 10-15 minutes after ordering and it looked so good! My burger was cooked well and the fries were delicious. The burger was pretty basic and didn't blow me away, but it hit the spot. The patty melt was also great and my friend ate all of it. It was all great! The restaurant space was clean and had plenty of space to move around. It smelled good too, like garlic and butter. The bathrooms were single-person and gender-neutral which I appreciated. There is plenty of street parking so you shouldn't have a problem finding a place to park to get here. All in all I enjoyed this spot! The food was good, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly. Would go back!

I just drove up and down half of the Oregon coast and tried several different supposedly "the best" clam chowder and verified what I already know; out of all of the best, this is the best best. It's real chowder, everything in it is delicious and you could have it as a meal with nothing else. I'll give it a 3.95/4 because I'm going to continue to try to find the best. The atmosphere is also very unique, with all of the firefighter memorabilia, and pub style. But I've never had bad service here and I've been coming back for the better part of 20 years. Try the chowder!!

The chilled Dungeness crab was very good and tasty. No need to add anything! The fresh shucked oysters were tasty and fresh and clean. The crab dip was exceptionally good with chucks of crab meat to eat with the fried won ton chips & crackers. The ceviche was okay and also the spicy shrimp salad. The clam chowder was very good and flavorful and it was okay on the thicker side, came out nice and hot not warm.
