    Shepherd's Pie March special

This spot in Old Town has really good food! It's sort of an unassuming bar, could be a dive bar but 20 beers on tap and a pretty great menu. I wish I would have been able to snag an outdoor table, that side of the street gets some nice afternoon sun, perfect for outdoor dining. The service was fast and efficient.

I ordered the clam chowder, but it was fantastic! Fun local bar that's been around since about 1936. They have a pool table and several large rooms for seating space. It's a noisy space but lots of fun. Our service was wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming.

Sign out front - A storefront window features a large sign with the text 'Welcome to Beer Heaven' and logos of multiple breweries, including Eugene Oregon, Pelican Brewing Company, Ecliptic Brewing, and ACE. The window is framed by glass blocks at the bottom and has a black border. The background of the sign depicts a cloudy sky over a body of water. There are some small items, including a fire extinguisher, visible on the right side of the window.

Great local beers on tap! Food is excellent. Staff is excellent. Was recommended by a few local dudes that were not wrong! It's a great place to!

Clam chowder - A black bowl contains clam chowder garnished with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of paprika. The bowl is placed on a white plate with a slice of toasted bread beside it. The setting appears to be in a restaurant or pub environment, with a wooden table surface visible.

Beachcomber is on the strip in Old Town Florence. This pub is very popular among the Harley and muscle car enthusiasts, there are usually several parked out front to admire. The staff are a different breed. Very probably the owners of the Harleys and muscle cars parked out front, but don't let that fool you. Under the bandanas and denim jackets with the sleeves torn off are friendly and welcoming staff. We take a table and are greeted and brought menus. Drinks requests are taken and napkins with tableware is provided. This is a long, narrow environment with the tables along one wall and the bar along the other. There is a pool table in the back where there is another seating area off to the side. We were told there is good chowder to be had here, so we had to give it a try. It turns out there is also a Seafood Chowder along with the standard clam chowder. The seafood chowder was over the top good with an abundance of potato, clam, shrimp and scallops with a dash of paprika and parsley sprinkled over the top. It also came with some thick sliced Texas toast with a creamy melted cheese on it. The clam chowder was very full of potatoes and lots of large clam. It was very mild and light in seasoning. The coconut shrimp was the hit of this adventure! 5 incredibly large shrimp, butterflied like prawns, they were breaded and fried crisply and very meaty. There was also a ramekin with a sweetish green chili dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with the shrimp. This came on a decent portion of a caesar salad with several pieces of thick sliced toasted bread. This dish alone was actually enough for a meal.

Ruben - A meal featuring a sandwich with toasted bread, layers of meat, cheese, and vegetables, served with a side of French fries and pickle slices, is presented on a black plate. The setting appears to be a bar or casual restaurant, with a bar counter, flowers in vases, and multiple TV screens visible in the background. The environment includes a visible kitchen area through a window, and the table setup includes a fork, napkin, and a glass of dark beverage.

Love this place. Probably ate here several dozen times. Food is always well prepared, ample portions and their service is fantastic. Great Burgers, Tacos, Seafood, and chowder. And...20 beers on tap Loyal customer.

Stopped by here for a beer on our day trip along the Oregon coast. Place has a nice waterfront dive feeling to it. Pretty extensive local craft beer selection. Mostly IPA's. We all ordered beers and decided to get an appetizer to share. We ordered the caprese flatbread. Four of us shared it and thought it was delicious. Pesto on naan bread with fresh tomatoes, prosciutto, cheese, and a balsamic vinegar glaze. We all said we got to make this ourself when we get home.

Coconut shrimp and Cesar salad with garlic toast and jalapeño jelly!!! Just do it!

Great service, fun location and lots of choices! Give this place a try!!They bread their own chicken strips and they are huge! The onion rings are so delicious due to the great tempura batter! Got beer in there? Probably!!

We were seated right away and our waitress gave us window seating so we could have a river view. I told the waitress it was my daughters birthday, hoping they would do something special for her later. We ordered a few drinks and made our food order. It took about 20 minutes before we were served. I ordered the burger and fries. My hubby ordered the fish and chips and my daughter ordered the mac N cheese. Everything looked good, however, my fries were lacking warmth and my burger bun was stale. It was not soft and fresh. I ended up not eating the bun, but just the burger itself. My daughters mac N cheese wasn't as great as she expected either. It was bland and dry. Yes, it had cheese, but it was stringy and not creamy. My husband loved his fish and chips. Hot and fresh and looked amazing. I did have a bite and it did taste really good. Note taken: Do NOT order anything but the fish and chips. When we were finished a new waitress gave us our receipt and asked if we needed anything else. I wanted to tell her we needed more water, but we were ready to go. I wish they would have filled up the carafe of water "before" I was about to leave. And..on top of that...no birthday surprise for my daughter. Some places sing a song or give a small dessert. But nope...not here. Oh well...I think I'll skip this place for any kind birthday celebrations.

I've eaten in quite a few places on the west coast that claim to serve Irish food and I have always been unsatisfied with the authenticity. So I was very surprised and impressed with the food served at Nana's. My experience started with the ambiance. It truly had the feel of a real Irish Pub. This was followed by the hospitality. Our server was amazing. She had great menu suggestions for the people who were eating with us. They have eaten a wide variety of Irish food. She made an excellent selection as to the Irish beer that would best suit my palate. They have several Irish beers on tap. I chose the Smithwicks Red Ale. It was delicious and very enjoyable. Now for the food. Many years ago I enjoyed Steak & Stout Pie in a Dublin Ireland pub. It was really good. I've had it in several locations here back home but it just wasn't the same. So when I spotted the Steak & Guinness pie it peaked my interest and I ordered it. Well I definitely was not disappointed. More so it was like reliving an old pleasant memory. The Steak & Guinness pie was spot on. Every bit as enjoyable as the one I tried in Dublin. I very highly recommend trying this establishment if you're traveling to or through Newport. You will not regret enjoying the food and the experience.
