Apparently, telling another patron not to put their drink on my table so that I wouldn't risk knocking it over accidentally when I sat down is considered a violent act in this town. Half an hour or so after this supposed violence occurred, the bouncer/manager, Felix, informed me that I needed to leave for the night. He stated that someone had made a complaint, saying I had put my hands on them and gotten violent. But if I had actually ever gotten violent with someone, why did it take the alleged victim half an hour at least to lodge a complaint with security? Despite insisting that I'd done no such thing and had simply told someone not to put their drink on my table, I was told to leave or the cops would be called. Felix got in my face and started yelling at me. I had to yell back at him just to let him know that I stood by my innocence. Not even my friend was able to convince the bouncer of my innocence despite having also been a part of the original interaction with the other patron. Even he knew that no physical violence had ever taken place. So Felix thinks it's acceptable to try to intimidate women at his establishment based solely on the lie from another patron with an obvious grudge. Since when is it acceptable for one patron to harass another by falsely accusing them of violence and weaponizing the establishment's bouncer? They refused to refund the money I had just spent on a beer and refused to let me notify my friend that I wouldn't be able to stay. Felix flat out refused to even listen to my side of the situation before judging me guilty. Why would he automatically take the other patron's word for it if he wasn't acting out of a clear bias against me? It was pretty damned clear to me that he was only ever pleasant to me when I behaved myself, then turned into a misogynistic freak once I stood up for myself and refused to accept unfair treatment from him.

So I was very surprised and impressed with the food served at Nana's. My experience started with the ambiance. It truly had the feel of a real Irish Pub. This was followed by the hospitality. Our server was amazing. She had great menu suggestions for the people who were eating with us. They have eaten a wide variety of Irish food. She made an excellent selection as to the Irish beer that would best suit my palate. They have several Irish beers on tap. I chose the Smithwicks Red Ale. It was delicious and very enjoyable. Now for the food. Many years ago I enjoyed Steak & Stout Pie in a Dublin Ireland pub. It was really good. I've had it in several locations here back home but it just wasn't the same. So when I spotted the Steak & Guinness pie it peaked my interest and I ordered it. Well I definitely was not disappointed. More so it was like reliving an old pleasant memory. The portion of steak was large...guessing 8 ounces...temp was cooked correctly and it had a decent char on top... but it just lacked flavor. Maybe some marination would help.
