One of the nicest movie theaters of this size that I have been to! Normally cinemas of this size I have been to are rundown and need their screens fixed, but this one stands out to me for being very well maintained. I wanted to see Detective Pikachu while visiting the coast and the times here worked best for me and my boyfriend. The theater itself was small but comfortable, clean and thankfully not crowded when we went. We could hear a little bit of the movie next to us, but not enough to interfere with enjoying the movie we were seeing. I don't remember the prices exactly but I do remember making a comment about it seeming more affordable than normal, and we got 2 tickets, popcorn and a drink (all were delicious btw). We didn't get any, but it's always nice to know a place has some adult beverage options as well. Overall I really enjoyed this theater and I'd come again if something was playing that I wanted to see when I was back in the area!

We decided to go to a movie while on a road trip from California. They have decent prices for films and concessions. The lobby is charming with all the old photos, couches, and movie related books strewn about. However the theater itself is very small. No stadium seating here. Some seats had broken armrests. I'm assuming people wanted to raise them and found they don't move so they broken them instead. Before our movie started the theater was completely silent. The screen had a slide show of local businesses and we could here the adjacent theaters sound. Once our show started the sound from other theater was almost unnoticed. The theater looked like no one had bothered to clean it from the previous show. There were cups on the ground and in holders as well as popcorn and wrappers all over the floor.

Movie theater in a small town is an absolute must. Since the new owners have taken over, it is one of the gems of Florence. It is very clean and beautiful inside with new releases and artsy films, for people that are into that. They also serve beer and wine plus the prices are very very reasonable. As for most older theaters the seats are a little hard so on longer films your rump will start to feel it. Overall a great place at a great price for a night out.

Concessions, where you pay for your tickets.

Love this spot!! Would go here before the chain theaters. Great staff, movies, and reasonably priced food/drink items.

Art House - Beautiful outdoor area

Art House

Finally made it back to the Art House, had another good experience. We saw one of the films in…read moretheir French New Wave series, and again enjoyed the theater very much.

They were playing an anniversary version of This Is Spinal Tap, with an intro by Rob Reiner…read more I was running around 10 minutes late (would miss the trailers) but the welcome from the Ticket guy was no less warm despite my being the last viewer in. He sorted me out pretty quickly and then I faced my next wonderful obstacle: an amazing concession stand with a very understanding vendor who had two different kinds of kombucha on tap, chilled brut rosé, several beers ranging from a Pilsner to a stout, several kinds of wine including Pinot noir and Cabernet Savignon, popcorn with real butter, frozen junior mints, whoppers, peanut M&Ms... everything good was there. Give yourself a few extra minutes to decide what you want to nosh on -- just don't pass up such a great selection. The movie was showing in theater B which was across the courtyard, really lovely few steps between buildings. The chairs were very comfortable inside theater to B and the drink holders wide enough to hold the mason jar that my kombucha came in. Yep a real glass -- none of the paper or plastic stuff -- love that. But maybe the best part was the audience who was clearly queuing to many of the lines and laughed at all the right places. The vibe was a lot like a familiarity that you encounter when you watch the Rocky horror picture show: lots of audience knowledge and appreciation expressed throughout the film, which made the movie even better. I really like this venue and the set up they have. There's also free parking to the side of the building. Support this business. It's a treasure.
