First time eating at their newer location. For starters, our hostess and one of the owners was very friendly and inviting. Big smile making you feel welcome. Nice ambiance and music. We were seated quickly and given multiple rounds of chips and salsa! The food was delivered in a timely manner and we each enjoyed our orders. I'd say the highlight was the chile verde!Margaritas were very good. In my humble opinion, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Florence. read more

We loved this place for years when it was just a bit more then a shack. The hospitality was always friendly and polite. Just service driven and the food great. The shrimp fajitas, enchiladas, Marqs, Diablo sauce has the perfect amount of spice. NOW the best is they moved just a block or so to the cleanest and trendy kind of Mexican place. What a great little place in Florence to get Mexican food. My wife and I went there while visiting Florence and both had Tacos. I had Carne Asada tacos and she had Carnitas tacos. They were served street taco style and we both really enjoyed their traditional flavors. Chips and salsa were brought to the table as we sat down, the chips were ok but the salsa was great. It's a small place with bar seating and some tables on the same level. There are also tables on an upper level. The service was good and the owners were very nice and cheerful. Great place for typical Mexican food. Gonna go back on more time before we leave town. read more

This restaurant has been in Florence a long time, recently moving to a new location. Very nice, spacious, on 3 different levels. Uncovered outdoor patio in the front. Inviting sit down bar. Service was good, friendly. Complimentary chips and salsa. Chips were good, the salsa very watery. Prices are about what you would expect. Wanted to really like the food, but didn't. Good, not great. The pork chili verde burrito had very little pork and it was cut so small that it was lost in the burrito. The chili relleno was flat, almost nothing inside the chili. The bean and cheese burrito was o.k., on the small side and not much filling. Served on a cold plate and the burrito was not hot. read more

Everytime we come to the coast we stop here! Great food served by a very nice lady. The building is small, so if there are lots of people be prepared to wait. The food is yummy, chimichangas are to die for. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. The food is always the same each time we come here! I read one review that they do not provided Chips and Salsa. Well, that is not true and the person who stated that is either a liar or does not understand what chips are. Granted, they give you "hot sauce" and not salsa, but being from a Hispanic neighborhood in Phoenix, not a lot of Mexican restaurants give you "salsa" in the American way (chunky Pace type stuff). Chips and sauce come out with your water and menu. You do not pay extra for them as a side. Visited for dinner while taking a little vacation time in Florence. Coming from an area with excellent Mexican food choices, this was a gamble going in while at the coast. I ordered the chimichanga and enchilada while my wife ordered a plain chicken burrito. I found the chimichanga to be under fried and doughy on the bottom, not to mention very small. The cheese enchilada, just bizarre tasting and off putting. Additionally, this was the worst attempt at guacamole I've ever seen, even as a topping. The real disaster was when my wife had me taste the chicken from her burrito. I immediately spit it out. Tough as plastic and a taste... nearly putrid. Nice enough people and not extremely over priced, but what good is any of it with food so far off the mark!? We will be trying somewhere else for Mexican if we try again. read more

We stayed at the Best Western, just across the bridge from this family-run gem. We were not in the mood to fight the crowds in Old Town, so I dropped in for takeout. The fish taco was also seasoned well and I was happy that it wasn't battered - just pieces of seasoned cod. The Chile verde was just melt in your mouth. Seasoned well and no fatty pieces. Was hoping this place would have good Mexican food as it is hard to find on the Oregon coast but was very disappointed. I ordered a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. I stopped in to this wonderful Mexican restaurant the Sunday night before last. It is a cute small restaurant on the side of 101 it is on the right hand side if you are going south. I was happy to see the place was still open on a Sunday evening as I was very hungry from my drive. I ordered the enchilada plate to go. I asked for a water to go and they gave it to me free of charge as well. I couldn't even wait to eat my food once I got in my car I ate almost the entire plate. The rice and beans were amazing and my enchilada was delicious I also got a veggie taco and that was really good as well. I heard this place has really good margaritas but I was driving so I did not get one but I would definitely go back to have more food and possibly try some drinks.
