This is definitely Mexican-American fare, not shooting for authentic, but it is still good from the small glimpse we've had, which was the carnitas tacos. They're carnitas are excellent! Tender and moist. My issue with most carnitas is that they are bland and these were not. They had a deep roasted pork flavor. As you can see they're tacos also come with more toppings than a typical street taco. Guac comes with them for free, which is nice. My only complaint is the salsa tastes store-bought and it would have been nice to have something with more heat to spice things up. We will be back to try something different next time.

The beans were refried and the rice was savory. The adobada was good, but a little tough. The horchata was sweet. The best part was getting to eat at the impeccably maintained patio out front of the shack. There are metal storks and pelicans keeping watch over the dining patio. Large pots of pink and red blossoms stand next to a statuette of St. Francis (the patron saint of animals and nature). Roses climb over the side of the building, which has a bathroom for customers. It is evident to me that someone cares very much for this little restaurant.
