Use to live in Reedsport, never realized how good their food really is. We have been back to…read moreReedsport a few times since we left over 10 years ago. This place is probably the best Mexican food I've ever had! The Machaca dish is absolutely amazing and delicious, it's my personal favorite. Tried many of the dishes here and not one of them was ever bad. They were all really good. Their service is awesome, and if you're there around your birthday it's a great place to go. They give you a giant sombrero to wear and take your picture. There is good amount of seating but the place is popular and can fill up quickly. They do an awesome job though of not making people wait and getting everyone takin care of! Shout out to Sol! Have to try if you're in the area.

Delicious comfort food, ice-cold Mexican beers, and outstanding service. Elvia was amazing--so kind and welcoming, even 45 minutes before closing on a Monday night. We loved everything: enchiladas, tacos, burritos, chips, salsa, guacamole, and nieve frita for dessert. My daughter was craving fried eggs, and Elvia happily fulfilled her request, even adding special rice and beans. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be back one day.

This is it! Aztlan has the best Mexican food on the Oregon coast!…read more From Google AI: "Aztlán is the mythical ancestral home of the Aztec (Mexica) peoples" Aztlan (the restaurant) delivers delicious and authentic Mexican food in an unassuming and caring, family friendly environment. "Home" in other words: The restaurant is family owned and operated and has earned an outstanding reputation over the years for offering delicious meals and fostering a sense of community and belonging. The moment that my party entered the restaurant and were greeted by Elvia, I felt welcome and very much like part of the family (although one who wasn't expected to do their own dishes)! LOL Unlike some Mexican restaurants, the ambiance as well as the lighting is bright and cheery. Aztlan has nothing to hide, and you can actually read the menu! (This is always a plus). On display are many antiques (or perhaps artifacts) that add to the ambiance and authenticity of the restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic. On my last night in town (which was my third meal at Aztlan), I ordered a "ToGo" for dinner the following night. Even after 400+ miles in an ice chest, the last dinner was delicious. The menu at Aztlan is extensive. But if by chance, the menu should not list the exact item or combination you want, I suggest you ask. I did, and I was not disappointed. Please visit Aztlan if you are anywhere near Reedsport Oregon. The family takes great pride in serving both their old and new friends with wonderful food. Aztlan presents wonderful authentic atmosphere, and even better, great food. I will come back as often as I possibly can.

Having just moved from the bottom of the earth in South America back to the good old US of A after…read more3+ years abroad, I was not sure that I wanted to jump back into Argentinian cuisine. But while on a Great American Road Trip, the hubby was craving steak, so I obliged. Boy am I glad we did! Pablo's is amazing as was our server Betsy. In South America, normal dinnertime is 8 p.m. or later, so I'm still getting used to "early" restaurant closing times in the US. We rolled into the quaint beachside town of Bandon, OR around 7:30 p.m. After a quick walk down the pier and through town, the hubs called Pablo's to see if they were still serving dinner (normal closing time is 8:30). To our delight, they were, so we walked over and were lucky to get one of the few tables under a "covid bubble." These little transparent dining pods are perfect not just for health reasons but also because they keep diners warm on cool nights. When I first saw the menu, I was a little surprised at the prices, but quickly realized that with only a handful of tables and high-quality ingredients, the prices were actually reasonable. We ordered a bottle of Mendoza Malbec (why on earth would you order anything else at an Argentinian restaurant?!?) as well as the shareable $130 steak dinner that comes with empanadas, salad, sides, and steak. What a deal! Everything was so delicious. We each had the Árabes empanadas (we can confirm that Argentina's empanadas are much better than Chile's, and Pablo's did not disappoint). Normally, my hubby isn't much of a salad guy, but the salad that accompanied the empanadas was so delicious, he scarfed it down to everyone's surprise. Pablo chatted with us between courses and we learned that he used to play soccer (futbol) in Argentina, his family is still there, and he recently trained under a Michelin-starred chef in Italy. When ordering dinner, we made an unusual request that Pablo graciously accommodated: hubby wanted his side of the steak medium-rare while I wanted mine medium. It was great. The grilled veggies (peppers, onions, zucchini) and pesto pasta were terrific. I had not had pine nuts since before we moved south, so that was a real treat after so many years without it. I was so stuffed from all the great food that I couldn't finish the pasta or veggies, so I took those to go and ended up eating them for breakfast the next day (don't judge, it was delicious and filling). If you want a really special, personalized dining experience with an internationally trained chef, you absolutely must visit Pablo's. If you have no interest in enjoying authentic Argentinian cuisine, Argentinian wine, and chatting with the chef, go somewhere else.
