Not greasy and not dried out. Just enough for the 3 of us to get our taste buds going. The elk burger was so tasty and juicy with a flavor that left us craving more. Medium rare with added avocado was the perfect mix. The burger was not so filling that you got the after burger taste and wouldn't have room for anything else. The Marionberry Crisp topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was enough for us to share at the end as well. Headed up perfectly and delicious! The service was great and the wait time was not long to get a table. Outdoor seating is also available and the inside keeps it nice and cozy for small parties or the occasional big family feasts. We'll definitely stop back here again!

This place is probably the best Mexican food I've ever had! The Machaca dish is absolutely amazing and delicious, it's my personal favorite. Tried many of the dishes here and not one of them was ever bad. They were all really good. Their service is awesome, and if you're there around your birthday it's a great place to go. They give you a giant sombrero to wear and take your picture. There is good amount of seating but the place is popular and can fill up quickly. They do an awesome job though of not making people wait and getting everyone takin care of! Shout out to Sol! Have to try if you're in the area.

The second time we went there was a Friday and there was a whole bunch of landscapers and construction guys there so our service was horrible and our portions were much smaller that day. Understandably, because of the crowd so we went back and tried it again. So this and I emphasize LAST time that we went was the final straw. Portions were very small. The beans were slimey and runny like they're trying to spread them out over three portions instead of one portion. The rice was about 3 tablespoons and nothing special. The sauce on the enchiladas was runny and loose and much different than before. Our first taste of the day was stale tortilla chips. We're not going back. Somethings changed. They're getting cheap and they're trying to spread everything out and serving stale chips at a Mexican restaurant is not acceptable. That's the end of what was we hoped a good thing.

Our server was really busy with a full room of customers, and managed to check on us regularly. The food was delicious. The bread was fresh and hot. A rarity dining out at a restaurant. The clams (appetizers) were tasty. Loved the slices of Portuguese sausage. The clam chowder was good, but in my opinion, it had too much salt. But better than being bland. The fish and chips were delicious. I ordered the two piece halibut. The fries were crisp. I love that the fish and chips weren't greasy, or soggy. My husband ordered the Huckleberry glazed salmon. Served with rice and vegetables. He added a salad with Huckleberry vinaigrette. Flavorful. We enough for leftovers the next day. We ordered the marionberry cheesecake. It was just right. Not too sweet. The ambience was lively. A little on the loud side. Free parking. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend Big Fish Cafe.

We ordered the halibut roll, the crab roll, and a crab cocktail. The halibut roll came out looking just like the crab roll, not fried but fresh. Halibut isn't my favorite of the coastal fish dishes but my husband said it was good. I really enjoyed the crab roll which was filled nicely in a toasted, soft, buttered roll just like the kind you get in Maine. The chips were a nice addition as well as the pickle. The crab cocktail was good, small, but good. The cocktail sauce could have used more kick to it as it felt ketchup like with a bit too much sweetness. It was a dreary day and the wind was blowing so it made the entire outdoor experience a bit too cold. Even with the plastic sides of the tent up it was cold. I wished they had turned the space heaters on so the experience could have been more comfortable. Parking was easy on the pier as no one was around. There was no entertainment either other than the howling wind. The service was very minimal as ordering was done at the food truck window, food was picked up from there, and we had to bus our own table.
