Soo yummy! Cute little spot in the heart of Newport, right by lots of shopping and sight seeing areas. Parking right in front and close by, very walkable area! Not a ton of seating, but how could you want to sit instead of walk around and see Newport. Employee working was so sweet! We got the Dubai chocolate crepes, strawberry milk tea with boba, and a Thai tea..It was all very good and fresh. Good menu selection of sweet and savory crepes, and lots of different teas and boba options! My kids, husband and I loved it. Definitely will be back next time we take a day trip to Newport. read more

Let me preface this by saying I've had lots of boba in Taiwan (where boba originated), all over LA, Seattle, and Portland. I drink boba at least 3 times a week and only leave reviews for boba shops. With that said, I want to say I wrote this review with consideration that Newport is a much smaller town compared to those places. I'm staying at Newport for a month and was so excited to see there was a boba place! So without fail, I had to try the one boba place in town. My husband ordered the dragonfruit tea 50% with boba, and I got the classic milk tea 50% sweet with boba. Tea - The classic milk tea was not the classic milk tea. It's supposed to be a black/green tea with creamer or milk. Sweet Corner's had a malty flavor, almost like what I know as Okinawa/Hokkaido milk tea, but also way too powdery, and no boba tea should ever be powdery like that. It also did not have a hint of real tea. It went against everything I know should be classic milk tea. The dragonfruit tea was our adventurous choice since it's kind of unconventional, so I was excited to try this. It was better than the classic milk tea but still tasted like water and dragonfruit syrup without any taste of tea. I did appreciate the little dragonfruit bits though. Boba - I was happily surprised that for a boba place in such a small town, the boba tasted okay. Really good boba should be chewy and sweet, without breaking down into pieces in your mouth. I've made all kinds of boba at home myself using the 5-minute instant boba, the 1 hour long cook boba, and even boba from scratch with tapioca starch and brown sugar. I could tell that Sweet Corner's boba is the 5-minute instant boba, which has a distinct taste and kind of breaks down in your mouth, but as I said, this review is written with the consideration that this is a small seaside town, not a big city. I was happy that the boba was sweet, which meant it was probably braised in sugar/brown sugar at the end, just like how it should be. Honestly, I'm sad to leave lower-rated reviews for small Asian businesses because I really want to promote Asian culture in all corners of America, but at the same time, I have to stick to my integrity and what I know. The owners also seemed really sweet (pun intended). I am, however, willing to come back and give another try at other flavors as well as their crepes. I am really grateful that Sweet Corner is in Newport to give a first introduction to boba and that people have been enjoying it so far. read more

Excellent crepes and boba tea, usually has a well deserved line. They have a great seating area to the side with feature walls and picturesque insta worthy options. The flavor is excellent and the crepes are filled. They come in a pocket to hold on the go so you don't have to stop enjoying the bay front. The variety of flavor in both savory and sweet crepes is amazing. The tea flavors are great, even the boba flavors themselves allows for different fun combinations. read more

So, so, so outrageously delicious. 1/2 sweet was plenty on our drinks. The crepes are amazing!! Super fresh ingredients and crepes are wrapped up in the a triangle so they're portable and good to walk with! Such a good idea. Will definitely stop here any time we're in Newport. I'm a very picky boba and crepe foodie. I was vacationing on the coast, and saw this new (well, new to me) restaurant on the corner and decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Thaiport", lemongrass chicken with spring veggies and homemade peanut sauce. Delicious, but a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and I thought it was worth it. The flavors were fresh and flavorful, and the ingredients were well distributed throughout, so you got a wonderful party with each bit. There isn't a lot of chicken inside the crepe, but in my opinion, you don't need it. Sometimes more is just more. My son ordered the taro boba milk tea with with the honey boba with a sweetness level of 50% which is considered average/normal. Delicious! I did ask a few ladies who were eating the crepes what they thought of the food before I ordered. They loved it! They ordered the Thaiport and the Tom-Yum-Kong, with shrimp, mushrooms and Tom-Yum sauce (hot & sour). That convinced me to give it a try. read more

okay...i know what you're thinking. three stars? let me elaborate. the boba here was delectable. wonderful chew to the pearls, and the tea tasted great, not too sweet (important). however, the crepe was...i'm just not sure. every bite had a different taste as well as a different texture. the dispersion of ingredients was odd, and it left me feeling empty, yet nauseous. maybe the other crepes are better, but i personally don't recommend the avocado one. get the boba here tho. a bit expensive, but worth it. read more

Soooo delicious! We ordered online and had to pick up asap before my conference meet and they did an amazing job getting the food ready. The mix of sweet and savory is on point. Our family loves crepes and this was delicious. The kids got Nutella and the strawberry one and my husband and I had the breakfast and added guac. Wished they had more of these places all over Portland area, but I guess I have to settle on our visits to the coast. Thank you can't wait to go back! read more
