Smoked ribs

We used T-Rain bbq for a birthday party for 100 guests. He communicated well and was timely. Everyone loved the food, especially the ribs! I will absolutely use again in the future.

We had T-Rain cater a meal for our school staff! He did an amazing job and was very affordable! All of the staff loved the food and we had zero complaints. He went above and beyond to deliver a great meal. We had chicken leg quarters, brisket, sausage, Mac and cheese and green beans. I definitely recommend him for catering.

Absolutely delicious BBQ! We recently tried T-Rain BBQ, owned and operated by our good friends Treveus Rainwater and his wife Veronica and we couldn't be more impressed. They were so gracious to cater our daughter's high school graduation party at our house & we have been to two parties catered by them since our special day. The meat is perfectly smoked--tender, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. The brisket practically melts in your mouth, and the ribs have that perfect balance of bark and tenderness. Oh, we especially loved the sausage- NUMMY!! The sides are just as incredible--the creamy mac and cheese, sweet corn on the cob & green beans complement the BBQ beautifully. You can really taste the care and passion that goes into every dish. Beyond the amazing food, the service is friendly and welcoming. It's clear the Rainwater's takes pride in making every customer feel at home. If you're craving top-notch BBQ, look no further than T-Rain BBQ. Highly recommend!

Ordered a 15lb brisket. On short notice T-Rain delivered on time. The smoke flavor was deep and the brisket was tender. Good deal!

Hello my fellow foodies…read more I'm about to relax after devouring this deliciousness from Daddy J's BBQ! We ordered the 3 meat special for $14, the sides (Big beans and coleslaw) were extra; making the grand total $19. RIBS (5/5): The ribs were so tender and seasoned to perfection. I've ordered ribs from several local barbecue joints and some were either dry or was too much smoky flavor for me. I'm kicking myself in the rear end for not ordering more. Daddy J's ribs were juicy with just enough of season and smoky flavor. BAKED BEANS (5/5): Beans were tangy and sweet; very flavorful SAUSAGE (5/5): Sausage was hot and fresh but flavor was nothing really to rave about. It tasted like normal kielbasa sausage. BRISKET (4/5): While I'm not a huge brisket fan, I have to admit, it tasted pretty good. I personally feel like brisket should be injected with the same seasoning that's used on the outside. But, I understand most BBQ joints use the traditional way and I'm sure many may enjoy it just as it is. My husband ate more of it than I did and enjoyed it just as much as he did the ribs. COLESLAW (4/5): Coleslaw was cold and fresh. Although, I would have added a little more creamy slaw dressing. Rolls tasted as if they were Hawaiian rolls but that works too To me, it seems as if the ribs are the heavy hitting here! I would definitely visit again, order just ribs and sides.

The brisket was mediocre at best -- slightly under seasoned and the smoke flavor tasted a little off to me. The pork ribs were lacking flavor, and the bacon ranch potatoes were pretty much flavorless and definitely needed salt. The street corn pudding was okay, but it also felt bland somehow -- not really sweet or savory, just kind of there. I also tried the beef ribs, and they were just okay. They weren't nearly as tender as I expected, especially considering the reputation this place has. The highlights for me were definitely the beef cheek pastrami and the sticky ribs. The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sticky ribs had great flavor. For the amount of hype, long wait times, and "best in Texas" reputation, I left pretty disappointed. I honestly don't understand why this place is considered number one in the state.

All the spots in houston and Schulze's bbq is up there with any of them if not the best! I'm starting to wonder if Texas monthly is even a legit thing. Because this place could easily be number one. I'm surprised I've never heard of them because this is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Some of the best customer service too! I'm so glad I stopped in. This will be my go to every single time when I'm in Seguin, Texas. Food: everything was phenomenal! The brisket was made to perfection absolutely some of the best brisket I've ever had. The jalapeño sausage, I've never had a jalapeño sausage that good! The cheese was bursting out of the seam! The tater salad oh my God! Talk about a blast from the past if you're from Houston Texas, and remember the old Heights camp house BBQ, you will remember they had Camp house potatoes. They tasted exactly the same wow I was so happy to try that because I never thought I'd have a dish like that again in my life. The brisket rice was OK. I probably would get something else. The banana pudding was phenomenal. This is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Easy five star review! The customer service was great. The line moved quickly and everyone was extremely nice. I will go out of my way to come here and get barbecue every single time when I'm at Seguin, Texas. This should be on Texas monthly, this should be on everyone's radar if you love barbecue! The dining room was very clean. Staff very nice. You can tell they are trying to learn the craft of Texas bbq. The staff don't seem to be in communication with each other. I saw some white lady that just looked angry behind the counter I'm assuming is the owner. Now, I did have VERY high expectations for this place because I have been a long time follower of 90 West barbecue since they first began. I know Jesus and Robin moved to this location. With that said I had high hopes the food would have came along with them, which by visual plating, and taste it absolutely did not. I honestly felt them two would have easily been brought this place on the top 50 bbq list and that got me so excited to make the drive out to try it. I did ask for Jesus but they said he was off when we went by. That surprised me they always work! Haha I don't know if he will see this review since he is a manager but Jesus your very talented man with a heart of craft bbq we know your worth, your bbq was killer. I pray someone will give you a partnership to begin your own restaurant location you will do just fine back in San Antonio and we will be right there with you and Robin.

How can you relax and have a conversation with your friends or a date if you can't hear yourselves think? The service is nonexistent and that's fine because it's your basic fast food concept. Not a problem. However, the food is more industrial based than true Texas BBQ. My brisket was very dry. They slather a lot of BBQ sauce on top of your meat. Why? Because the meat is either old or dry or both. Mine was very dry. The beans were drenched in sugar. The Mac and Cheese lacked (cheese) taste. We love good BBQ. This is not good BBQ. Compare to the Burnt Bean in Sequin and you will understand. The burnt bean runs out of product leaving long lines for their food; it's real BBQ, fresh homemade food. You can taste it.

My son had the same Classic Plate. We got the beans and fries as our sides. When our food was brought to us, the server didn't give us utensils. We had to ask her for them. The portions seemed small. The brisket was not hot. It was room temperature. The fries and beans were just okay. We were underwhelmed. This is Texas. Our expectations were high but we were disappointed. It could be that the order from the air show overwhelmed them and left them little strength to give attention to our order so I'll give them a little grace and give them two stars instead of one.
