Was in Cíbolo today, was looking for a place to eat but due to the holidays few options. But we found a shining star in "Harmon's BBQ", and it was a great choice. As you enter you are immediately transported to an older time, the restaurant has feel of history. After getting a view of the place you notice a good amount of seating for individuals or a group. You walk up to the counter to place your order, this place has a variety of options to choose from. I selected the "Chopped Brisket Sandwich" with a cream of corn as my side. You can sit down where you want or take your food to go, either way you are given a number to pick up your meal. Now the taste, the brisket was tender and very flavorful, the bbq sauce was outstanding, which brought out the flavor of the sandwich. The side, was equally delicious. As I mentioned this place has history, and the people that are responsible for the place are very good people, they give off a cordial atmosphere. Overall this place serves up a great barbecue experience, I highly recommend this place.

Lemon Cake looks Amazn'. But a hard pass for me over priced at $8.99. Was too dense, dry, too much oil.

WOW!!! So mad I COMPLETELY FORGOT to take photo's of the Brisket, Chicken, & Turkey Sandwich. All of Which WERE COOKED TO PERFECTION from the Start I was So Pleasantly surprised that none of these cuts of protein were Overly Seasoned... I do not care for a Cut of BBQ to taste like a pit of salt! This was Outstanding, Moist, Tender dissolve in your mouth Delishousness!!! The $8.99 slice of Lemon pie Extremely disappointing & WWWAAAYYY over priced. It was Too Dense, Dry & too much oil. The drink selection was Great "ice cold beer" & wine options. DEFLY will be our Sunday afternoon lunch stop!

Stopped in real quick to pick up some food to take home. Just a half pound of brisket and some sides. I only waited a few min but you could smell all the good smells so I was excited. Harmon's has been in business for a VERY long time and is a staple in Cibolo for a reason. Amazing people, great environment, and really good food. The brisket is as good as you're going to get anywhere locally. The sides are obviously cooked with care as well. We've enjoyed Harmon's for decades and hope to continue as long as we live nearby. I actually go out of my way to get Harmon's, and I don't do that for very many things lol

Great ambiance! The brisket was a bit fatty so I didn't eat much...but the turkey was really good. It was a nice enough lunch, 3.5 stars.

Chopped Brisket Sandwich

Amazing food with a fun atmosphere and very friendly staff! I had the brisket sandwich that was aaaamazing with Mac and cheese, my MIL had ribs with potato salad and coleslaw, everything was really good! Glad we found this hidden gem!

This was a really great experience. Excellent food and service. The smoke on the meat was perfect and it has a great Texas feel inside of the restaurant. Will go back!

Smoked Turkey Sandwich

My stomach followed my ears to Harmons BBQ in Cibolo...came to hear the bluesy sounds of Bros Inc. (Jimmy Spacek, Rueben V & et. al) and was also able to slay my hunger with bbq and beer. I had the Brisket Mac and Cheese and my friend had the Smoked Turkey sandwich and both were deliscious. Maybe too many fatty cuts of brisket in the bowl, but that's the luck of the draw when the dish is portion of chopped brisket with bbq sauce spooned over cooked Macaroni noodles and covered in a cheese sauce. It all still blended together nicely and was very scrumptious. The smoked turkey on the sandwich was so tender it could be cut with a fork. The flavor was outstanding. It came doused in a little too much sauce as the bun lost integrity about half way through the sandwich, resulting in the need for a form to finish. All in all, not bad at all, especially considering how busy they were due to the live band. Bottom line: I'll be back for more blues, brews and BBQ! Happy to have this spot in my 'hood!

Not only did they cook more food but they also delivered!!!! Daddy J has a sweet humble soul and exuded gratefulness for our patronage. I will be a consistent customer and will refer every chance I get. BBQ SPOT FOUND!!!

Hello my fellow foodies…read more I'm about to relax after devouring this deliciousness from Daddy J's BBQ! We ordered the 3 meat special for $14, the sides (Big beans and coleslaw) were extra; making the grand total $19. RIBS (5/5): The ribs were so tender and seasoned to perfection. I've ordered ribs from several local barbecue joints and some were either dry or was too much smoky flavor for me. I'm kicking myself in the rear end for not ordering more. Daddy J's ribs were juicy with just enough of season and smoky flavor. BAKED BEANS (5/5): Beans were tangy and sweet; very flavorful SAUSAGE (5/5): Sausage was hot and fresh but flavor was nothing really to rave about. It tasted like normal kielbasa sausage. BRISKET (4/5): While I'm not a huge brisket fan, I have to admit, it tasted pretty good. I personally feel like brisket should be injected with the same seasoning that's used on the outside. But, I understand most BBQ joints use the traditional way and I'm sure many may enjoy it just as it is. My husband ate more of it than I did and enjoyed it just as much as he did the ribs. COLESLAW (4/5): Coleslaw was cold and fresh. Although, I would have added a little more creamy slaw dressing. Rolls tasted as if they were Hawaiian rolls but that works too To me, it seems as if the ribs are the heavy hitting here! I would definitely visit again, order just ribs and sides.

The variety of options they have made my heart happy as I am a person to want a little of everything! WAIT TIME & ORDERING: You have to form in a line till opening time and well worth it! Ordering is at counter, then condiments, drinks and then dessert. NOW FOOD: The Brisket was delicious and savory. I added the pickled carrots and pickles with onion on top of the barbecue sauce and was the cherry on top! I also had the brisket taco with the fixins it comes with and it was so fulfilling I didn't even need any barbecue sauce. Let me tell the pork ribs chef kiss and the meat fell right off the BONE and even the bone was tasty. I had the El Cinco sausage went perfect with the meal without out being too overpowering or spicy. You can use barbecue sauce but definitely not needed. SIDES: Cowboy beans and Mac and cheese are a must try! They are like no other place I been to and taste soooo good! In addition, to the street corn pudding. I wanted to try the others but thought I would leave for my second trip back. I will say these side complimented the brisket and so flavorful! SERVICE: The staff was very kind and helpful! Shoutout to the staff member assisting with the fixins/desserts she is the bomb.com and made going through the line easy. You could tell everyone of the staff members care and work hard to make sure the customers are taken care of! OVERALL: The food was SUPER DELICIOUS and I definitely stuffed my face. I regret I did not have room for dessert but will be back to try! Also, be on the lookout for specialty items that are not on the regular menu or on the weekends. I would recommend eating the meal with a Big Red or a Mexican coke.

The entire serving line is incredibly inefficient. Meat cutter leaves the line to go serve customers at counter. There are numerous open tables but the line is out the door. Take to cashier, pay, keep line moving and get food. Go sit down. Keeps things moving!!

(IYKYK) Best BBQ in Texas is what I've heard and that's precisely what I experienced. Parking lots are nearby at a price ($28 for 2.5 hrs), unless you get lucky with street parking. Took us 30 min in the line, 10 min to order, and 1 hr to eat - plenty of time left on the parking meter which we prefer rather than cutting it close and getting a ticket. 2.5 hrs for parking felt rather safe for us, if you're wondering. Indoor and outdoor seating is available with plenty of tables. TVs inside for game days to indulge in 2 loves at the same time - food and sports. Ambience is warm, welcoming, and simply chill. Line up, be patient, and order to your liking. Ordering process - request for bread, ordered cold items first (potato salad), moved forward to order hot items (beans, Mac and cheese), grabbed a blueberry cobbler on the counter, and moved forward again to order precisely what we came for... the MEATS! Paid our dues, got fountain drinks, and found an open table to accommodate our party of 4. Open seating! TIP 1: They open at 11 AM, we got there at 3 PM, and they were out of beef ribs already. So keep that in mind if you're there specifically for that. TIP 2: They have 2 sauces from what I could tell - Original and Sweet Sauce. Sweet Sauce was my favorite, but just make sure both are on your table to try out. Live dangerously and mix them! Sooo good... THE TRINITY is what we ordered - or at least, that's what the server told us. The Trinity = Pork ribs, Brisket, and jalapeno cheese link. Omg... every single bite sent us to Heaven and back. Jalapeno cheese link was packed with jalapeno flavor and as if it was soaked in cheese yet didn't look like it. The brisket was the best I've EVER had - thick, juicy, savory, and now set the bar high for all future briskets. Pork ribs - 2 lbs and glazed. Oh man.. just thinking about it makes me depressed like a long lost distant relationship I know won't work out (we live in Nor Cal). The music is loud but that's expected. It is a bar after all...that serves barbecue. We ordered at the bar and sat down. BWE and I shared the Chuckwagon Classic Plate, and we added 1/3 lb of brisket. My son had the same Classic Plate. We got the beans and fries as our sides. When our food was brought to us, the server didn't give us utensils. We had to ask her for them. The portions seemed small. The brisket was not hot. It was room temperature. The fries and beans were just okay. We were underwhelmed. This is Texas. Our expectations were high but we were disappointed. It could be that the order from the air show overwhelmed them and left them little strength to give attention to our order so I'll give them a little grace and give them two stars instead of one. Anyone that knows me, knows that about me. Two plate lunches, drinks (canned Hawaiian juices) and dessert for $70 (excluding tip) is insane to me though! Even in Hawaii, where EVERYTHING is beyond expensive, a plate lunch meal for 2 is not this much. Additionally, the portions do not justify the cost... I think that was the most disappointing part of this whole experience. Look at the photos of our plate lunch, I got "double shrimp" instead of an additional protein and I got SIX shrimp!! I lived in Hawaii 10 yrs.... just for reference. I used to drive to the north shore for garlic shrimp... never ONCE did I ever get 6 shrimp for a "single"portion, EVER.
