The street corn pudding was okay, but it also felt bland somehow -- not really sweet or savory, just kind of there. I also tried the beef ribs, and they were just okay. They weren't nearly as tender as I expected, especially considering the reputation this place has. The highlights for me were definitely the beef cheek pastrami and the sticky ribs. The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sticky ribs had great flavor. For the amount of hype, long wait times, and "best in Texas" reputation, I left pretty disappointed. I honestly don't understand why this place is considered number one in the state.

This will be my go to every single time when I'm in Seguin, Texas. Food: everything was phenomenal! The brisket was made to perfection absolutely some of the best brisket I've ever had. The jalapeño sausage, I've never had a jalapeño sausage that good! The cheese was bursting out of the seam! The tater salad oh my God! Talk about a blast from the past if you're from Houston Texas, and remember the old Heights camp house BBQ, you will remember they had Camp house potatoes. Now, I did have VERY high expectations for this place because I have been a long time follower of 90 West barbecue since they first began. I know Jesus and Robin moved to this location.
