Always made to order, loaded, and satisfying potatoes. I always get the loaded chopped brisket potato and it's good everytime. Service was quick. You can get it Togo or you can sit there and eat your food.

Bottom left - Brisket Beans; top left - Coleslaw; far right - Brisket Mac; ribs, pulled pork and burnt brisket ends.

This place has been open for about a month and we decided to try it out - weren't expecting much to be honest. We were pleasantly surprised. Was it the best BBQ we've had? No. Was it in the upper level? Yes Wanting to try different meats I had the 3 meat plate. Burnt brisket ends - good - covered with a sauce that had a good flavor. Different (the sauce) than I'm used to when ordering burnt ends, but pretty good. I also had the pulled pork which had a really good flavor to it. Finally I tried 3 of the ribs which had a good texture and were tender and came off the bone but not over cooked. All very good. I tried their sweet BBQ sauce and the spicy. They were both pretty good. For sides I had the coleslaw which was surprisingly good - a mayo based coleslaw with a very good taste and texture. Finally, I tried the Brisket Beans which were pinto beans with pieces of brisket, a hint of cilantro and some spice in a bean broth. The taste was great but the beans were a bit overcooked and the bean to broth ratio was off (too much broth). Overall - good food. My wife tried the Loaded Mac with Chopped Brisket. She didn't care for the chopped brisket as it had the same sauce as the burnt brisket ends, so I ate the shredded brisket and she ate the pulled pork in the Mac. The Mac itself was prepared well and had good flavor and cheese. My 3-meat plate was a bit overpriced $26.00 and my wife's Mac was definitely overpriced at $11.00 for the small bowl. Overall, the food was good. Still not a big fan of eating dinner in a restaurant that's attached to a grocery store, but that's just me. If we are hungry and in the area we would go back.

This is a new BBQ joint at HEB and the food is excellent! The service has been a hit and miss which is why I gave them a 4 star.

The staff were super friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, willing to answer questions and making us feel comfortable throughout our meal. The dining area is small like others have mentioned but we were able to grab a table. I certainly wouldnt lower my review because of it. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive, everything is cooked fresh to order- which I love. We ordered the hapa mixed plate and it was plenty of food for both my husband and I to share. Everything was really good, the salad dressing was delicious. If you want some amazing hawaiian food, with friendly service then give Howzit a try, I doubt you will be disappointed.

The beach bbq chicken was also okay but it definitely could improve. The macaroni salad and green salad were okay but need better packaging for takeout. Dining area is small and needs improvement... since I was planning to dine in but changed my mind as I entered. Ventilation needs improvement. The kitchen hoods were not adequately venting out the smoke which flowed into the dining area. Price-to-portion for each item was way off compared to what I get at the other Hawaiian restaurants... maybe their operating costs might be high... hope things improve. 2 stars for my first experience. I'll try again in a few months.

I ask the manager , who brought my food out, about how the day was going and he was very chill in small talk . He even noticed my shirt for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center and thanked me / the company for what we do. Great lunch , every Tuesday for double stamps in their app, but this lunch just hit better than ever before. I will certainly be back just based on two good people .

It had a very slight heat to it, like it was sitting out for an hour. My mom also ordered a boil, but she ordered the shrimp boil. She said it wasn't cold, but that they had given her the extra spicy seasoning instead of traditional. Now to the service ; not good. Our waitress took the little order number stick holders or whatever, and didn't return for a while.. except to ask us if random people's meals were ours (she did that like 2 or 3 times.) Once she gave us our food, she dropped it off super quickly and ran off. She checked on us one time, asked us if we had questions, and walked away as my mom was answering a question. The waitress's name was Bella Also, someone started vomiting all over the bathroom while i was in there??
