Outstanding food, friendly staff and very clean environment. I was shocked at how good the food was to be honest. And.... very fairly priced. We ordered carry-out. Definitely plan to return!

Well well well what a hill country gem this true tx bbq is...first off customer service was the best I have ever had. Chuck took great care of our for our purchase and kept checking on us bring us boxes too. John also took great care of us when we were short tenders and subbing turkey. He checked on us too and was great too. The entire staff was so pleasant and happy. Now to the food, this was the first location we've been to with chicken tenders and man, they are delicious! The el jefe sandwich is huge but so delicious, that Cole slaw contrasting with the meats makes this sandwich. The brisket nachos are crave worthy along with the potato salad. The kids devoured the Mac and cheese. We will definitely be back for good food with a good vibe! This is our new go to bbq spot!

Poor Service, tables needed wiping down. Out of sweet tea. Had to remind staff about empty drinks. Staff was on their personal cell phones.

The wife and I gave them a try this evening. We strolled to the front of the neighborhood, and were promptly greeted by the couple. After some small talk back and forth, we placed our orders. My wife got the sliced brisket with creamed corn (minus the caramel drizzle), and beans. Myself, the sweet rib plate, creamed corn with the drizzle, and beans. In good time we received our order and went back to the house. The smell of barbecue filled my car and had our mouths watering. Once home, we dove right into our plates. I swiped a small piece of brisket from the wife and tried it. Nice and tender, and was tasty. I went to work on my ribs. I do not get to have them often, as my wife is not a fan of pork, so this would be a treat. Ribs are usually a lot of work, and messy, so to work I go. Upon opening my container there was three ribs with nice hunks of meat in them. The corn looked pretty good, and the beans looked sticky. The ribs were pretty good. Tender, nice flavor, and the sweet barbecue sauce was pretty good too. The corn was pretty good. I almost ordered it without the drizzle, but my curiosity had me going, so tried it. I think the corn was good by itself and I could not really taste the caramel. It was an odd pairing, so next time I'll order it sans caramel. The beans were ok. They had a weird sticky texture I was not fond of. They were not bad, I just was not a fan. Overall, it was great. The barbecue is the star here and you will not be disappointed. I definitely recommend grabbing some barbecue from these folks if you see them in the area. They were really nice people, and their food was great. I want to thank them for coming to our neighborhood to serve us some yummy barbecue. We sure hope they come back. Enjoy!

Got it home and the potato was as hard as a rock. You've got to split that thing open to put the fillings in and they had the nerve to pass that on to a customer, no thanks. Second time was the BBQ sandwich that made me sick, awful experience. Third time was a couple of days ago. Again, the loaded BBQ baked potato. Thank you for cooking it thoroughly this time. Problem was the lack of meat on it. Just ridiculous! I paid $13.00 for a baked potato, oh yeah, I also got sick again. Never go here folks, you'll regret it!

I ordered on Yelp and unfortunately by the time my husband arrived for the order they had run out of ribs :( made me sad because I was really looking forward to the ribs. I got chicken & brisket instead for my 2 meat plate. I ordered creamed corn and Mac & cheese. I was very impressed with how flavorful and moist the meats were. It's a chain restaurant so I was skeptical. Happy to say we were all satisfied, other than the fact that they had no ribs! That just means we'll have to return. Our order was ready very quickly too which is a plus! Overall good experience! Definitely recommend!

Lots of family memories here. Our daughter found this BBQ and wanted to try it out. We drove up & it's not fancy but the smell of delicious BBQ hit us as we got out of the car so we knew it was promising! We pored over the menu and I decided on a sausage sandwich with Mac 'n Cheese. You order at the counter and food is brought out. The rustic interior was clean and we easily found a table. It wasn't too long before we all received our meals. We all agreed this was great BBQ! My sausage had a bit of heat but it was tasty! The Mac 'n Cheese was rich & savory. We loved the BBQ sauce. Our grandson claimed his chicken strips & fries were the best he ever had & this kid does not lie! Everything was so good! As we were leaving I spoke to one of the owners to let him know we really enjoyed the BBQ & asked if I could take a photo. He said Tracy was in the back & I asked if she could also pose for a snapshot. They sweetly obliged me. I told him we were from CA but hubby's parents used to live in Canyon Lake. They gave me some free stickers to share. Great BBQ, friendly staff, and welcoming owners! What's not to love?

Wait staff greeted us with a smile and while we initially were going to sit in the patio area we decided to return to the front room (may need another split a/c unit in the patio area ). Our drink order was taken within minutes, our appetizer of nachos with grilled chicken was delivered quickly, and within ten minutes or so our entrees were brought out. Both son-in-law and hubby ordered the chicken fried steak which they devoured and proclaimed delicious. The rest of us ordered Cobb and Caesar salads with grilled chicken. Beautiful presentation, and the grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. In fact, every ingredient in the salad was wonderfully fresh. Wish I remembered our waitress' name as I would giver her a shout out as well! Had a great experience in such an iconic restaurant.

Great indoor outdoor seating and it was not really hot outside this time of the year and we had gotten to the restaurant at 5. It is a very family friendly place and they do have live music that play in the evenings. I did tell them it was my first time trying out the restaurant, and the owner came by himself and greeted us and thanked us that we came to his restaurant. I would have given five stars, but our waitress was not attentive as I would like it to be, but they were getting busy throughout that next hour we were there. We did get a slice of chocolate cake, which I highly recommend if there is any left because it is a very popular dessert!
