Big ol tips stuck on the nails, jutting at an unnatural angle.

Are you in your teens and 20s? Do you like thick, fake nails? This is your shop! Vibe is todays latest rap/radio hits (largely explicit) playing loudly, with only 2 people working in a completely empty shop (at least the weekday I was there). A spa it ain't, nor is it entertaining (no tv, no people). Ya just kinda sit there. The work - I had Gel-X tips put on - was beautiful. Picture two shows how nicely the painting and chrome looks. BUT, and it's a big but, they look embarrassingly fake. If you aren't 20 and you prefer to have the elegant look of a person with beautiful, long nails, this isn't it. No matter how many times I said I wanted them set flatly these are hugely raised and stick straight out at a totally unnatural angle. (See 1st picture) Again, probably the look the younger gals want but it's like a neon sign saying "I can't grow or care for my nails so I got these big 'ol fake ones stuck on top of mine." You get what I mean? Check the other reviews mentioning this place using nails that don't really fit your nailbeds or natural width. They are right. I'm going to keep looking for what I have always gotten before I moved to this area: gel-x that looks glamorous but fits and lays flat. You know, like nails.

I've been to this nail salon twice and really enjoyed my experiences. The first time I can for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Tiffany did my pedicure and made polish suggestions. The color she suggested was cuter than what I had originally picked. Jenny did manicure and made sure I like the color before preceding to do the rest of my nails. Both Tiffany and Jenny were very gentle when doing my nails which is a nice change from other nail salons I've been to that have manhandled me. You can also tell that they take their time and ensure everything looks good unlike other places that rush through the job. My second time here, I decided to do gel x which Tu did. I showed her an image of what I wanted and she helped me find a similar color to what as shown. She was very gentle and really paid attention to detail when doing my nails. I loved how my nails turned out and will definitely come back here.

I had a great experience at T Nails & Brows recently. I went in for a dip manicure and Tu was my technician. She was very friendly, very gentle, and clearly cared a lot about my satisfaction. She took her time and gave me plenty of options to get the desired color I was looking for. I'm incredibly happy with the results. I'll definitely book with Tu again. The salon was clean and the other technicians were friendly, as well. I'll try a pedicure next time too so I can experience other services at T Nails & Brows.

I have been getting my nails done here for about a year or so and was loving it! But I went in to get my nails done recently and was not happy. I asked for the color that I circled in the photo below but was told black would make it "pop" more. I just wanted what is shown on the picture, not just the cat eye. It felt rushed and I'm just not happy with the outcome of my nails. I communicated how I didn't like them but there was nothing they could do, so I settled with just paying the $75. Won't be coming back.

My favorite place to go where I know I will always be treated right and happy with the results. Gel-X is my go to. It gives me the acrylic feel but SO much better for your nails.

I've been going here for almost a year now after my nail tech for the past two years prior had moved to a different city and T-nails did not disappoint! They introduced me to gel-x and my sets have always come out beautiful. I've only experienced getting them done with Penny and with Tim and both do an excellent job. They are very nice & not pushy with other services.

Don't want to write this review 'cause I want to be selfish and keep this gem to myself. My daughter actually found this place as I'm never going to another salon! Penny is amazing. My teen is super particular with her nails, penny masterfully recreated her designs twice now. In addition to nail design, my kid was able to grow her nails long and healthy. For the Era's tour next week both of us decided to do our nails based on our two favorite Taylor swift albums - reputation and lover. I texted the design and Penny made it happen! GelX is the way to go for me and my daughter loves her powder.

I've been going to Penny for almost 5 years and absolutely love the quality of their work! I send her ideas and thoroughly enjoy working with her on creating our own designs. She and Tim as well as their other technicians are top notch. Will go nowhere else

I switched to this salon within the last year and I won't go anywhere else. I always get the Gel X. Tim and Penny are super professional and accommodating. All appointments are booked online so you're guaranteed to get the time you booked (I've been to other salons that weren't that organized). If you're looking for a salon to do creative designs on your nails, this is 100% the place!!

I am beyond impressed!!! This is my first time going to this salon and I loved it. I went to another salon a few months back and they absolutely botched me it was awful, but I am really glad I chose to come here this time! I asked for a floral design with lady bugs and snails and Tim delivered exactly what I had hoped for! My boyfriend also got the deluxe pedicure and he approved, honestly I was a bit jealous when I saw everything they were doing on his feet. It looked so relaxing!! Tim & Penny are the best nail artists in the area without question. The truly care about their clients, and make an effort towards customer service that is rarely seen in this industry. I was referred to Tim when I first moved to the are in 2018 and put I couldn't be happier with the choice. Having been to salons around the world, I'm so happy that l live with in a 30 min drive of such a talented team. I was referred to them by a friend . By far the best manicure I've ever had and they do great pedicures too. I love the dip work because you don't have to put your hands in the light . I only need to go every month , because the work lasts. I never run into chipping or annoying nail trouble, which I have in the past. The salon is always immaculate and calm. I have been following Tim & Penny for years on instagram. I finally went in to get my nails done last week and all I can say is WOOWWW and how I wish I'd gone in sooner. Tim and Penny both warmly greeted me when I walked in. Penny stopped her service to get me checked in and give me the colors to look through. When it was time for my appointment Tim sat me down at his station and we began chatting. He was so knowledgeable and we talked about prior services I've had and my experiences with them and what my goals were. I explained to him that ultimately I want to get my nails heathy and long. Due to this he recommended we do a full dip set and that if we work together my nails will be long and healthy in no time. I watched him as he did my nails and I LOVE how they do dip at their salon. They use individual cups and sprinkle the dip powder onto your nails instead of dipping into the container like other places do. I truly can't recommend them enough. I will definitely be back soon. I met Tim and Penny right before COVID and wow. I used to get acrylic and would have never thought my natural nails would be beautiful and long. They introduced me to dip and I'll never go back. The absolute best nail salon I've been to in the area! They are very clean..I really appreciate the no double dip method they use for dip manicures. Tim and Penny are amazing artists to start this review off. Both will take care of you and make your heart happy! They have a beautiful spacious suite inside W salon Suites in a great parking lot where you can shop for groceries and run to Target if needed. Now back to nails! Tim is amazingly creative with his over the top hand painted designs! The detail is unheard of for nail artists in the area. If you are looking for consistently good service and all the latest trends this is your spot. Also super important to add... they explain how to care for your nails at home and really care about educating their clients on how to keep the nail bed healthy.. this is extremely important. This is a salon that doesn't want to scrape your natural nail bed to hell and hope you have nails left to work with next time.. They want your nails healthy and beautiful and they try to eliminate the use of UV lights as well. Today I got my nails done for the first time since COVID started. I've been nervous about finding a new place so I just haven't done it but I was referred the Tim and Penny and saw all of their amazing pictures and booked an appointment. I believe they are a little more expensive than other places but they do really great work and I think it was worth it. I didn't want to cheap out and end up with cuts and jacked up nails... I really wanted to like this place since they're one of the few salons that offer gel x in the area but unfortunately I did not enjoy my experience here. The booking process was inconvenient as a first time client and my apt started 20 mins later than expected. Penny did my nails but something about them looked off. I realized that the premade nail tips used did not fit properly and she did not file the base of them to fit my nails. They looked really large so I reached out to her the next day to see if I could get them fixed. She told me that there was nothing she could do because that's the size of my nail bed and she's busy with clients. This was frustrating to hear because I paid $95 and she mentioned a 5 day warranty that didn't exist. I ended up going to another salon and they were able to fix them by filing the sides of my nails to the size of my actual nail. Really disappointed with response I received and I was willing to give this place another chance if she was able to fix them for me. read more

I would never go anywhere else since I met them. I started out with them when they were at Cosmo Nails and I have followed them to their new salon. I am an RN and my nails stay on perfectly for 3-4 weeks. The nails are always done fabulously and I always get compliments on my nails. I've been getting my nails done for a while now at a few different places. I found Nails by TimPenny on Instagram and loved what I saw. I like doing gel overlay or dip over my natural nails and shaping is very important for me. Tim does an amazing job shaping nails perfectly. Seriously they are perfectly shaped. I haven't been anywhere that does as good of a job as he does. For my second appt I wasn't able to come in for 5 weeks and my nails did not crack or chip, that has never happened to me before, I've been to other salons where after 2 weeks the dip cracks and chips. Best nails I've ever had! Penny did such an amazing job that the nails look like my real nails- the shape and length fit my small hands perfectly. 10/10 highly recommend Penny. She was the first person to introduce me to DIP powder. After two sessions, my nails have never been this long, strong, and healthy. For years I've always had gels done, but my nails never stayed strong unless i had gel polish. Now that i do DIP powder with Penny, my nails are strong with and without DIP powder. She is so sweet and takes her time to give you exactly what you want. Also, you pay what you get and I have to say the quality of her work is AMAZING. I drive 30 minutes from Sacramento to Roseville just to get my nails done by her. That's how much I love her work. I also wanted to note that the DIP usually lasts me 4 weeks when well taken care of & it's so worth it. read more

Have been going to Penny an Tim for just over a year. did take my nails of when all of the Covid-19 started went to a different salon. Where I think she used the old dip with a liquid to do nails. When I returned to Penny she said it smelled really bad. Now I am back to Penny again and will never go any where else for my Nails as long as I'm still Living in Roseville. Would recommend them. They seem to be less stressed now that they have there own salon. Thanks read more

It was also a treat for me since I usually do my own pedicures at home nowadays, to save money. But since it's hotter weather now, thought it'd be good to have my toenails professionally painted. Wanted to make an appointment for sometime between 10:30-10:45am, but the employee asked if I could come at 11am instead, so I wouldn't have to wait. I said, no problem. Got a text confirmation immediately after, with the address of their salon. Seemed like a nice touch, so customers don't accidentally go to the wrong location or forget their appointment time. We arrived around 10:55am. Two employees inside the building, working on one customer. A few minutes later, another (younger) employee arrived. The younger employee worked on my mom and seemed pleasant. Offered us some small bottles of water. However, around 11:10am a young girl arrived and said she had an 11am appointment. She was asked to have a seat and choose a color, relax,'etc. I could feel the younger employee rushing my mom's pedicure since the other employees seemed to not be finishing anytime soon. I noticed the employee working on my pedicure didn't seem to be the most precise. There are some nail salon workers who are perfectionists, and others who do a hasty job. She was the latter. I had to ask her to fix a few areas that she had missed with the nail polish. And trust me, I'm not usually that picky about my toenails--which is why I usually can get by with at-home pedicures. Decided to be fancy and do a flower like I used to do all the time in my younger days. Big mistake. The flowers looked uneven and a mess. She had already spent quite some time trying to fix them to look more even, but the more she tried, the worse it got. I didn't want to be a karen and have her do it all over again either. She seemed to know that it looked pretty bad, though she wasn't able to say much. Just kinda did an embarrassed laugh as she tried to fix it. My mom, who had finished super early, was growing tired of waiting. I explained the uneven, weird-looking flowers but my mom said nobody is going to notice my toes anyways (lol). So I just let it go. Also felt bad because it seemed like the employee only had use of one eye. The other was closed or swollen. Probably has issues with depth perception. Decided to just pay and leave instead of trying to get the flowers to be my liking. Basic pedicures are $35. There is a Yelp discount but the employee who rang me up didn't seem to know what it was. She ended up giving the discount anyways. Might be a change of ownership deal, since their parking lot sign still says "Tresor Nails." Maybe the Yelp $5 off offer was for the previous business. So many nail salons out there with better pedicures so it looks like we won't be back to this one.

On top of that, there was also an extra fee just to use my card. By the end, paying around $56 plus tip felt pretty expensive for the overall experience and service I received. I was also very disappointed with the time it took an hour and 30 mins just for dip . I don't mind paying higher prices when the service and atmosphere match it, but this visit didn't feel welcoming or relaxing. Normally at other salons I'm at least offered water or a drink and made to feel comfortable as a customer. Unfortunately, this experience just didn't meet my expectations.

I've been going to T-Nails now for over 2 years. For Gel X I've primarily gone to Tim and only Tiffany for pedicures. I've recently been seen by Tu, as well since Tim is always full on the weekends and she's also gained my trust with my nails. All of them have been excellent! Is this salon the cheapest in town, absolutely not and you get what you pay for. What this salon is, reputable, quality, creative and clean. Even if I bring a picture in or I'm not sure what I want, Tim always gets super creative! What is the best is that I can get up to 5 weeks wear if I really needed to. The owners and their staff are always friendly and I think Tim plays the best music mix playlist and yes, there are songs that have cus words but I'm an adult and I don't get offended and if I really didn't like it, I'm sure he would have no problem changing the songs but I will take 90's and early 2000's R&B and hip hop any day. read more

The BEST 100% recommend!!! I've been going to Tim for a while now in Cosmo nail lounge and he's always done such an amazing job I always left satisfied with my nails. He's very consistent with his work and quality. Both him and his wife Penny are such kind and hard working people! Tim and Penny do absolutely the best work I have had done on my nails in years. The products they use are high quality and last for 3 or more weeks.
