My manicure is beautiful and my cuticles are super clean--definitely shows their attention to detail. The nail quality overall was excellent--clean, precise, and exactly what I was hoping for. The massage portion could've been a little deeper, but that was on me for not speaking up at the time. Just something to keep in mind if you prefer a firmer touch. It was silent in the salon, no music, or tv playing. Not really my vibe. And their credit card machine was not working. So I had to pull out cash instead of getting miles. 5/10 experience.

This girl is talented!! I've always struggled with having builder gel/hard gel last, it always used to lift at the cuticle. Leila is so meticulous that I don't have they problem anymore. She is thorough in there ability to perfectly clean up the cuticle and prep the nail for polish. My manicured last for 5 to 6 weeks now, something I never would thought possible. Leila is incredibly talented, she can do pretty much any design that one would desire and she's always coming up with new techniques to make your nails stand out. Leila is located inside of Lola's Salon, there is usually parking but sometimes another business in the strip mall seems to have an event going which clogs parking up. Leila maintains a clean and comfortable space with a soothing ambiance. She is polite and always on time. She always is just a genuinely nice person, you can tell that she loves her craft and she cares about her clients being happy. Leila also offers a loyalty punch card which is so cool. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Feb who took me to my pedicure chair. She did a wonderful job with my pedicure & I would highly recommend this place. They don't take walk ins so you will have to call & make an appointment. I see David here for my pedicures and for my nails. He takes pride and his work and really is so…read moretalented and it really shows in the finished product every single time. I can actually just relax and know my nails are going to look fire without me having to watch so super closely because I don't have to point out differences in shape or length etc from nail to nail and from hand to hand like I have in the past. My nails look uniform and everything always just looks right when he does them. He does an amazing job with my toes as well and the whole process is super relaxing and enjoyable. I do think nails in Alaska are more expensive than other places but I do feel like you get what you pay for at VIP at the same time. Between my nails and my toes there are so many steps and processes and still throughout I always feel welcome and like David wants to be doing my nails. I never ever feel like he just wants to get me done and on my way faster or anything like that. I want to say that while I do understand the general vibe that some other reviews mentioned about how nail salons aren't always super friendly but I genuinely don't get that energy here. This is one of the more inviting nail salons I've been to where I'm the most comfortable. I'm sure David has a lot to do with that for me personally though as well since I only see him :) I do want to add one more thing regarding the owners because they are super pleasant people and I remember them from a different salon that they were at about 10 years ago. Coming into this nail salon I thought it'll be every persons goal is to make sure each customer leaves happy with good quality nails. no I left this salon feeling uglier then walking into this Salon. if your not going to make sure they are all sized because he didn't look to size them or make sure the lengths are the same. the color lifted 20 mins leaving this appt. then chipped my nail when coloring that evening. I wanted to have them fix this but I do not want them to make me feel even more uglier than what they had me walk out with. please don't work in this field if you can't make your customers happy and do the nails right if we are paying you and tipping you on top of that and I gave a really good tip I didn't need to give this person I should have given to a nail tech who loves doing nails. so I'll never suggest this place for anyone.
