My sister recently moved to the area and we were in desperate need of a mani/pedi and we ran into this place. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating of my mother, my sister and I. For Alaska, they are reasonably priced. Gel mani and regular polish pedicure totaled about $110. Clean and didnt smell like acetone which is a must for any nail place I go into. My sister's main spot now and mine when I come to visit. read more

FANTABULOUS!!!!! I've been looking for a NEW to me nail salon. The Valley selection is less than desirable. Celebrity Nails was well worth the 30 minutes drive to Muldoon! I've seen Tim religiously, every two weeks for the last 3 years. He has been out of the country for a while now and when I called today to book an appointment with a different tech I was told they "were busy" and then just flat out told "actually we cannot do your nails, sorryyyyy." I am genuinely confused as to where this comes from and why they refused me. I have always tipped very well- for context I usually would tip $20 on and $80 fill, sometimes $30 if I was more difficult than usual with what I wanted. This is apparently how they treat loyal customers, so I will never be back. Not even if Tim comes back. I am trying a new salon this weekend and will find someone who values loyalty and my business. This is NOT the only nail salon in Anchorage and Tim is the only tech at Celebrity Nails that actually cares to do a good job anyways. read more

TERRIBLE like so so terrible. I had thee worst mani pedi experienced here that turned into a horrible toe infection. The experience was uncomfortable in the moment, i walked out with low quality nails, and shortly after a terrible infection. Seriously, do NOT come here. read more

Wanted French tips but I wanted to choose the colors they wouldn't allow me to do that. accused me of touching my nails on my jacket even when I didn't and said I didn't? Then I went to pay with a regular CC and they said we don't take AMEX in a rude way. I said I'm not using AMEX... I don't understand why they were being so hostile. read more

I'm new to the area and went to the same nail tech for over a year back in North Carolina. Looking for places that do good SNS can be difficult when you're used to having it done exactly the same for a long time. This place did ok. Rating a 3 because my SNS was filed too thin in some areas and they charged me $60 for it, not including tip. The nail techs don't really talk to you and it's kind of tightly spaced inside. Overall it was decent but definitely not my favorite nail place I've been Update: went back to try it again and am very pleased. Updated my review from 3 to 4 stars. Only complaint would be my fingers got kinda hot when they were filing them but other than that, the service was great! I didn't even have a wait time when I went after work read more

Decided to get my nails done for the holidays and a friend recommended Celebrity nails. They did such an amazing job and were super friendly. I also got a pedicure and it was so relaxing. I didn't feel as though I was rushed in and out like cattle. They also have so many options for service from sns dips to gel polish, and a full menu they bring out for pedicure options. I'm talking to them I mentioned it seemed busy and they let me know they were actually very slow compared to usual. Covid has been hard on all small businesses. This is one I wouldn't hesitate to frequent again. read more

I like this place. They do have a big book for what type of service you want, which can be kinda overwhelming. However the prices don't constantly change and they don't surprise you with additional fees at the end, which I have found to be an issue at a lot nail salons. Easy to get an appt or walk in most days. The massage was more of just a very long leg rub, kind of annoying but oh well. Mani and pedi have consistently turned out nice read more

Love heading to Celebrity for a pedicure. This shop has always done an amazing job, and gets you in quickly. They have a huge selection of regular polish, gel and powders. Real reasonable options for manis or pedis. Opted for doing a "jelly pedi" today and not disappointed. It's a 5 step process that left my feet so soft, re-moisturized and looking great! My go to nail salon! Massage chairs are great & if you are getting a pedicure, I recommend getting one of the spa add-ons. I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Facial waxing is also very well done. read more

Went today with my friend and husband for pedicures and manicures. Love my nails. Loved that I could get my nails done while getting my pedicure instead of waiting. I came in with an acrylic set from another salon that was ... less than superb to say the least, I was seated right away and the first person available got right to work. What I thought was just going to be a fill turned into complete reshape and fill because they were SOO bad. The final product was absolutely beautiful, and I am 100% happy with my new nails. read more

My sister and I went here for pedicures. We got the hot stone massage, it was not only disappointing, it was also painful. There were a few small, only annoying problems like the girl who did mine was training and not very good at it at all, and that the gel polish was all over the skin of the toe. The main problem though, was that they used a scrub and only rubbed in 2 spots on either side of the leg so it became very painful. We both had this problem and tried to say something but nothing changed. After that the stone massage was really just them rubbing very hot stones in the same 2 spots that they just rubbed raw for 15 min. We wished we could have just left. When my sister said that it was hurting , she was told that it was because she had shaved her legs the day before. Please don't waste your $75 like we did. read more

I went here a month ago for a pedicure and I am not sure that I would return. First off, the prices are astronomical. I was charged $75 for a pedicure. Regular nail polish, nothing fancy. I was advised to get a certain exfoliating package. Ok, I am new in town and trying to find my spot I will try it. I am not sure about their cleanliness. The whole time I was there there was a red towel and the floor, and nobody attempted to pick it up. Then the only time my feet were "exfoliated" she grabbed a purple looking sponge from her cart, scrubbed my soles and returned it back. That's it. Really? If you want the dead skin of your feet removed, go elsewhere. The scrub with the recycled sponge was all she did. I will say, I had an ingrown toenail that she did take care of very well so I will give them that. Furthermore, I like my foot massage. Huge part of the reason why I get pedicures. The lady that gave me my pedicure was basically just rubbing my leg. During an exfoliation part I asked her to massage a bit deeper. First she tried, then she said it was at the end. Fine. Then I got regular polish. She did my polish at least 20 minutes before I finished. Once she finished she said I was good to go. I was given disposable flip flops. With me being SUPER careful, my polish was smudged because it was still wet (unknown to me) within 10 minutes of me leaving the salon. I will add, I didn't try to go back to get it fixed not because I didn't want to, but because with a 6,4 and 2 year old it is hard for me to get away 1) much less return to fix something. Long story short, I was not impressed. read more

I don't know. I was recommend this place by a friend and wasn't super impressed. I think the prices are reasonable. And the wait time isn't terrible for a walk in. What I disliked: my friend and I got the same pedi service. Except here's was definitely more luxurious. The lady I had just didn't seem like she wanted to work nor be there. Ironically we started at the same time but my friends lasted about 15 minutes longer. read more

My favorite nail place! I had a full set of acrylics done this week and I'm in love! They look so nice, even and smooth! I walked in with no appointment and let me tell you, this place was poppin! They were so busy but they worked me in right away, I didn't even have to wait. The staff was friendly and quiet, it was a relaxing experience. My only complaint (of which the business has no control over) is that some of their clients are SO obnoxious. No one goes in for a little self care to listen to Karen complain about her life and divorce issues. It's supposed to be a relaxing experience. They were able to get us booked in for service on the same day which is awesome. Everyone who works there appears to be professional and busy. They do practice sterilization in front of us and that makes me feel confident about their sanitary. But if you are looking for a salon to "relax" and just chill as you get your services done, this may not be the place to do so. If you want to get things done, this could be perfect place. If you get waxed for things like your brows, don't expect privacy. I was drying my nails and the room right across me is a waxing room; the customer was laying down with curtain open as she got her brows waxed--just little awkward for me. This place is safe and it fulfills the service but it's not "tidy" or relaxing. read more

I'm new to the whole nail salon thing. I never believed in spending money to get my nails done until recently. My nails break easily so my co workers suggested getting either shellac or SNS nails. I got shellac first in Seattle. I really liked the way it looked, but it started to lift and peel at little after a week. So while I was visiting Anchorage, I decided to get SNS nails. The guy who did my nails (the older gentleman with glasses) was amazing. He was very detailed and did an excellent job with my nails. The only con is the price. $60. Sixty! In Seattle they charge $40 to $50. Shellac nails are $20 to $25 in Seattle. Besides the price I really like this place and will return when I visit Alaska again. read more

Only con - I wish they had new chairs :/ and more polish selections. Spacious and didn't smell like acrylics. Not sure if they do them or not, but it was nice not to smell it. Everything was clean and I'm grateful for the liners they put in the pedicure baths. read more

Overpriced ($40 for a basic pedi), sloppy job, and poor customer service. After I paid for two pedis today I gave them a punch card I had found in my car (it's been a few years since I've been there). They said, oh -- we only punch on cash payments. I said, it does not say that anywhere on the card. They said, you should have known that from your past appointment, and usually we have a sign up that says that (there was no sign). It's been a few years so I had no idea the punch card was cash only. The customer-oriented thing to do would have been to punch my card and then write "cash only" on it for future reference but no, they shrugged their shoulders and said, "sorry". This, combined with a messy, mediocre pedi, is enough for me to say I won't return. read more

they are the best nail salon in town tom has been doing my nails for over 7 or 8 years, i will not go anywhere else ever again..... my husband wanted to take me out to get my nails done but he wanted me to try a new place so i went to try lucy's nail salon and i got turned down and they still had 2 hours till closing so i said fuck it i'm going to tom or tim they both are they best in alaska without a doubt!!!!!! great customer service & best nails i love this place!!!!! they always welcome customers even when they are busy as fuck for real tho!!!!! read more

I wish I could rate this 0 but it wouldn't let me. This business is Very unprofessional. The guy doing my nails did a sloppy job and he burned me more than once after I had told him it hurt. He didn't accommodate to what I asked instead he decided to do his own design. I felt as if him and his co workers were talking poorly about me and my friends after I had asked him to fix something. and as for my friend, they told her they could do her design (a French tip) and once it was time to start the design he did it very poorly. The French tip covered half of her nail. After asking for him to fix it, he told her no. I feel as if they were trying to "wing" it and get us out of the shop. The prices he told us were a rip off. My friend and I got very identical designs and mine was much more expensive for no reason. I wouldn't recommend going here. It was a waste of my money and time. read more

I wish that 0 star was an option... the young lady doing my nails was very distracted the whole time and really put me in pain. Don't even get me started on how she was so rough with my hands. The dip nails I got are very thick even when I asked her to thin them multiple times. I was debating on getting a re- fund but I chose to be the bigger person. I left absolutely no tip because this nail salon is the worst one I've ever been too! read more

This nail salon is amazing from when you first step foot inside. They greet everyone that comes in, and they're almost always available for walk ins, any time of the day! I came in today hoping to get an appointment and they started working on my nails right away! I got my Valentine's Day set and pedicure here. I knew I had to write a great review when they were working on my pedicure and someone else was doing my acrylics at the same time! They are so efficient and so such amazing work. I started coming here years ago and this is the only nail salon I trust, from full sets to getting my facial wax! I will continue coming here and recommend it to anyone who would like to get their money's worth. :) read more

I've been a customer for 3 years now! I've been to a few other nail salons between states and this is my go-to. I usually just wait until I come back home just so they can help me. They always take care of me even when they're busy! I've gotten waxing, gel nails, acrylic nails, pedicures, and manicures from them! All came out fantastic, lasted longer than expected, and all of the nail techs apply the nail polish beautifully. They are very consistent. I've had a couple out-of-norm experiences but usually had to do with them being busy or it was something that they could fix! I have no complaints. They remember me every time and are always courteous and polite. If someone had a bad experience here, it probably had to do with customers not speaking up/saying something to correct the issue. They are often busy in the afternoon (it's a great salon with great service), and like any great place, wait times could get long. They very often take walk-ins; appointments aren't necessary because the nail techs DO properly address all clients that walk through the door. I've never made an appointment, and don't recommend making one in the afternoon to avoid disappointment. Service lengths could be long (I plan for 2 hours for a wonderful manicure and pedicure) and walk out feeling like a new person! Anyone complaining of service lengths must not appreciate the good service they are getting. This is a great salon and I will continue to come here even after I PCS. read more

I went here to get acrylic nails done 07/09/2020. Its been a couple months since iv had them done and i tend too bite my nails out of anxiety. I let them know i had sensative nails and the guy doing my nails kept burning me with the nail drill. He ended up switching with another worker there and since then everything was fine. I love the set they did but when it was time to leave my friend that knows lao, told me they were talking crap infront of my face the whole time and laughing about it , if i would have known before. I would have never even considered giving them such a big tip. Great place but they never know who understands their language and they should definetly (in my opinion) work on a more work friendly environment and save there crap talking for after when theres no customers in store. The massage portion could've been a little deeper, but that was on me for not speaking up at the time. Just something to keep in mind if you prefer a firmer touch. It was silent in the salon, no music, or tv playing. Not really my vibe. And their credit card machine was not working. So I had to pull out cash instead of getting miles. 5/10 experience.

This girl is talented!! I've always struggled with having builder gel/hard gel last, it always used to lift at the cuticle. Leila is so meticulous that I don't have they problem anymore. She is thorough in there ability to perfectly clean up the cuticle and prep the nail for polish. My manicured last for 5 to 6 weeks now, something I never would thought possible. Leila is incredibly talented, she can do pretty much any design that one would desire and she's always coming up with new techniques to make your nails stand out. Leila is located inside of Lola's Salon, there is usually parking but sometimes another business in the strip mall seems to have an event going which clogs parking up. Leila maintains a clean and comfortable space with a soothing ambiance. She is polite and always on time. She always is just a genuinely nice person, you can tell that she loves her craft and she cares about her clients being happy. Leila also offers a loyalty punch card which is so cool. She is working towards becoming an educator for one of the polish brands, which I don't know anyone else that is going that route so I am impressed. I highly recommend Leila!
