Mark saved us a bunch of money by telling us we could keep some of the existing Cat5 cabling, when he could've made a ton more money by suggesting we replace it all with Cat6, which we had initially planned to do. Later, Mark and his son came and installed two 85" TVs in our conference room. The TVs took up the entire wall and there were reinforced steel plates behind the wall. It was not an easy job. The team was already very familiar with Ubiquiti systems and was incredibly patient working with me despite my fairly basic understanding. They walked me through the tradeoffs and ultimately recommended stepping up from mid-range equipment to more professional-grade options. The reasoning was clear, the cost/benefit made sense, and at no point did I feel pressured--just well-advised. The actual Ethernet installation work was top-notch--smurf tubing, recessed (not sticking out!) enclosures, and everything. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is honestly beyond what I would normally expect (or even feel comfortable demanding from contractors). I did't ask her again. I knew I could contact my credit card company. Being retired law enforcement I felt sorry for persons of color coming into this store. She was extremely provoking and I knew it would be a problem for someone who will not accept her rude behavior.

I'd been using the hard drive to store ALL of my data after I had this same issue years ago, only with my laptop. Needless to say, losing absolutely everything I have saved is my worst nightmare. I worked directly with Gabe who could not have been more friendly or offered better customer service. He responded to my project request right away and we communicated regularly via text. Gabe answered all of my questions, big and small, throughout the whole process, and communicated clearly and thoroughly (I consider myself to have a basic/intermediate level of understanding technology, but am no expert). What I really appreciated was the transparency given with price quotes, and found that their prices are very reasonable for the service. Since I don't live nearby their shop, I took advantage of the free Uber service they provide to have your device picked up from and delivered back to you. I was incredibly hesitant to give my device, with all of my data on it, to an Uber driver, but Gabe assured me it wouldn't be a problem and that he had means to handle if anything went awry with the delivery. Thankfully this wasn't an issue. I don't know of any other company who offers this service, let alone at no charge. I am delighted and relieved to say that Total Computer Solutions was successful at being able to retrieve almost 100% of my data - the few irretrievable files ended up being not very important to me anyway. They also hold onto your data for 3 weeks post-service as a precautionary measure.
