Who told me that the first price was wrong and tried to charge me for installation. His excuse was "the first guy didn't know what he was doing. " as far as I'm concerned, whoever is running the offshore customer service line doesn't know what he/she/they are doing. The last time I tried to order an installable item they told me I would have to pick it up from one store and take it 40 miles to the store that could possibly install it. So done with these guys

The line gets put on hold, everyone waits until the person who's calling to ask about pens gets his question answered. If the person wants a lowdown on a every pen in the store, the cashier will help them over the people who've been standing there in line. It's just bizarre. The front cashier should not be answering phones. Clearly there are other employees in the store. Why this is allowed is a mystery and why there aren't always multiple cashiers working is also a mystery since I see employees just walking around the store. Faced with a time crunch, I looked on Yelp and luckily came across the many good reviews for Ryan at CC&R in the Outer Sunset. In addition to building custom computers, Ryan also does hardware repairs and fixes programming issues. Ryan was able to quickly accept my laptop at 8pm, and spent the night and the next day diagnosing and fixing the problem. His hours are flexible and he doesn't drag out his work over several days. I was very impressed at the speed with which he was able to work on things, and the completeness of his work. In addition to fixing a software bug issue, he did a diagnosis of the health of my drives, my virus software, and recommended a switch to a free program, which he did for me. The cost of his help, considering the level of attention and speed, was quite fair. It should be noted that Ryan is a local college student. I'm quite happy to be helping someone who is working his way through school. I appreciated his help so much that I created a Yelp account just to leave a good review. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
