The raised price also covers our regular remote network maintenance, ensuring your network continuously runs at peak performance following the conclusion of the project. A large portion of business model is our post-install support and efforts to create peace of mind for our clientele regarding our systems." However on that quote was also a $70/mo service plan that was supposed to cover the aforementioned post-install support. I asked about the double charge for support and asked if I could bring my own equipment and they ignored my email So this company is SUPER SHADY and please review your quotes and google any equipment that they tell you that you need because 1. you probably don't need it (we ended up fixing the internet ourselves) and 2. they are probably overcharging you. Just run the quote through Claude or ChatGPT and ask if there's anything concerning in it. It will do all the research for you.

The person said to make it easier he would need to drill some holes to help hide the wires. He asked if we had paint and said he could patch it. Next thing you know we have a 5"x5" hole in our fireplace along with holes in another wall. The patch was left unfinished. He said he had a paint brush initially and then later said he didn't. Pretty sure he was using a paper towel. Then told me I should paint it in an hour. Called their office and Nikki told me their team doesn't do paint or patching...ok. Why say you can? She couldn't tell me when someone would be back out and never called me back. So we have a mounted tv but now we need a professional painter to come fix the botched patch. Not to mention I spent 30 mins cleaning up after they left.

He will even test solutions first before having me commit to expensive installs. I think it has changed but I can only share my personal experience. We signed up for a service with specific needs and asked if it was covered, it was. Once we started, there was an immediate change up where projects now go to a large project team. Now, when we signed up we picked the largest plan to cover this specific project - deck restraining and we were told they would come out and evaluate but to select the package with the largest amount of hours because that would cover it all and work best. After we signed up, it was the very first visit with our handyman was when they sprung this large project group on us. A completely new way of doing things. Now here's the part that could improve... tremendously. We went back and told this was not what we expected or signed up for. We made it very clear at sign up and at the visit initial consult visit what our needs were. Everything was agreed upon and package selected based on this information. Now with the new pricing and changes we went back to them because this would be an additional $3820 on top of the package that cost $4750. After a lot of back and forth, they said they would honor it but it needed to be scoped by their large project team. The scope came back $3820 which is a much higher price tag than the visits needed. I went back and asked and they said they would honor the specific number of visits. Once we scheduled, I noticed that just over half the visits were used (22 visits recommended, 14 scheduled... visits also include lunch and breaks - reasonable but it is not part of the working time). I went back because the math does not add up. I was told the visits were based on a cash to visit breakdown. Red flag!!! Isn't this the same as a large project scope. This is nothing like what we signed up for. Also, to provide additional context we did scope this project with another team before selecting honey homes. The bid came out to approximately $1500. However, with the time and other work needed I loved the idea of honey homes. If this project takes 1/2 of their time (14 visits out of 30), it was worth it to support local and a consistent person or team who knows your home. In theory, I love the concept but the growth of the company is causing too much concern for transparency. If we had been told this in advance, I would not be writing this and would likely be singing their praises. The work completed at the moment has been fine, similar to what you would get with any contractor. Not spectacular but good.
