I hired him through Yelp to repair a leaking kitchen faucet and a dripping shower faucet. Unfortunately, what started as two relatively straightforward repairs turned into a much bigger plumbing problem. After the initial kitchen faucet repair, my tenant found water all over the kitchen floor, and he had to return to correct it. While working on the shower, the plumbing was damaged and the pipe support was cut. His quote then changed from $320 to $800. At that point, I just wanted the damage fixed so my tenants could use the shower again, so I agreed to the new price. Over the next three days, he made a couple of attempts to fix the damaged water pipe, but the problem still wasn't resolved. On his final visit, he told me the plumbing was repaired and demanded immediate payment of the remaining balance while he was still at the property. We had already paid $400, with $400 remaining. Because there had already been several unsuccessful repair attempts, I asked for just 1-2 hours so we could go to the property, inspect the exposed plumbing, and make sure it wasn't leaking before paying the remaining balance. What I don't understand is why he wouldn't allow us this short amount of time to verify the repair. I thought it was completely reasonable to inspect the work before making the final payment, especially considering what had already happened. Instead, he told my tenants that I didn't want to pay him, shut off the water to the house, removed the shower valve and shower head, and left the property with the water line open and unsecured. I had to call an emergency plumber to seal the line so the water to the house could be restored. I later hired a licensed plumber to complete the repair. After inspecting the plumbing, the licensed plumber told me that the original shower repair was a straightforward and relatively easy repair. This was very different from the explanation I was given that the existing plumbing was in poor condition and that this was why the repair became so complicated. This experience caused significant additional expense, damage to the property, and unnecessary stress for both us and our tenants. What was most upsetting was that after multiple unsuccessful repair attempts, he would not give us even 1-2 hours to verify his work before demanding the remaining payment. Instead, he left the property in a condition that required an emergency plumber just to restore the water. I found the way he handled the situation completely unacceptable. I'm sharing my experience to warn others to think carefully before hiring him. A straightforward repair ended with damage to my property, an open water line, and an emergency plumber having to be called just to restore the water. I would never take that risk again and would not recommend his services. read more

I initially chose Mr. Profix Services to repair a Kenmore refrigerator that had stopped cooling. While the initial response time was commendable, the technical outcome has been highly unsatisfactory. The technicians diagnosed the issue as fan failure and assured me that a replacement would resolve the problem. Unfortunately, the repair failed within 72 hours. Despite a follow-up visit to rectify the issue, the unit has failed a second time. This lack of a lasting fix resulted in the total loss of our groceries and a critical supply of stored breast milk on two separate occasions.
