I noticed when I got my phone back that the screen stuck out above the phone. Also, my iPhone warned me it wasn't a genuine Apple part. I thought, "I'll complain when I come back from my trip to visit my parents for Christmas" However, the phone just completely bricked soon thereafter after getting a very small amount of water on it - which wouldn't have even remotely been an issue if the proper screen was put on. Now I'm stuck with a paperweight and I had to buy a new phone two days before I was travelling back home. I made an appointment at 3:00 for a 6-8:00pm window to fix my broken phone screen. It was online and confirmed. However, no one showed up or communicated with me until around 10 after a call and a text from me wondering where someone was. The response was sad at best: first the excuse of Covid. I get that. Fine, your business model changed---shouldn't the website or auto responses been changed? When I mentioned that and how I'd waited around to keep the appointment I was told they had no control over Covid. What?? I know that.... Where was an apology for me having waited for someone to show up? Where was a better apology or explanation of why it took so long to hear back about the change in policy due to Covid but then the lame, 'blame it on Covid' and they can't control that. Unprofessional! They provided me a quote through yelp. I get there and he tells me the price is something else, not because the price changed because the job changed, but his standard price was other than what he quoted me. I showed him our yelp messages, to remind him, and asked him if would honor it. He said no. I think that's just terrible business practice. read more

Beware! Do yourself a favor and use a different business, they defiantly don't care about there customer and will blatantly lie as well as try to cheat you when it comes to the money. I have been without my phone for at least 8 weeks and they seem to do everything in there power to not give it back. Here is my experience. I am a return customer my first experience was like another, they did what they said they would. A typical transaction one might expect when dealing with professionals. Cut to six months later on a different phone I return to the store on W. Texas street, as I like give repeat patronage as well as use locally owned business. I'm inside the store I see a new face, I figure owner hired new help for this booming business. I show him my cracked screen he say they can fix it no problem but need to call the owner to find out whet the price is (another clue that he is new). When he got off the phone he collected a deposit and said that it would be ready at this time tomorrow (6pm). Said that great "I will only miss one day of work", because my business depends on having my cell phone to authenticate my identity as part of a many phase authentication process to allow me access to all the funds I allocate for my work. Missing one day due to getting my screen fixed, I can live though one less day on my paycheck The next day I get there just before 7pm the place is dark they close at 7pm this is my fault I knew this and was running late but trying to make it in time. They obviously close early not a very professional but i was also cutting it down to the min. Keep in mind I don't have a care at the moment and need to find a ride from family, my boss or pay for a taxi( walking would take several hours). As my $ and lively hood depends on my phone I take a taxi in early the next day to get my phone. I enter the store and I am told that they had to send the phone off and will be ready after the weekend, It was Thursday. I was obviously upset but did not take it out on the business. I tried to ask a question or two and got some vague answers that make me think that he messed up the repair job and had to send it off to fix what ever had happened. Jump to Monday I pick up my phone with less than half a charge so i plug it in when i get home. then next morning it is dead and I realize it was never charging as I tested it with many different cables and the charging port would not make connection to charge or for data. Oh did I mention that he over charged me for fixing a cosmetic blemish that i never asked to be repaired. He said it would be one day turns into five and instead of apologizing he over charges me. Not cool I break down and have to buy a cheep phone in order to work( another expense incurred) I call them immediately to tell them what happened because it was going to be two days until I can get a ride that doesnt' cost me $20 each way and they might be skeptical after too long if i didn't contact them. I few days later I get my phone back it charges now the same guy I have been dealing with this whole time wants to charge me for this repair. I restated the costs I have incurred in taxis, rides, unneeded trips to store, work and the fact everything worked on my phone but had a cracked screen when I originally dropped it off. I get home and oddly i didn't receive any calls that night, I checked in the morning and wasn't getting a signal connecting to the network. have to wait a day but contact cell phone carrier (they only keep 9 to 5 helpline hours. they keep having me reset many aspects of the phone and sent signals to my phone, i'm getting intermittent Ping to my phone at best let alone a call or info or txt. So i have to bring it in to cell carrier store the next day, they diagnose it and find out its a problem with internal phisical issue with the sim card tray area. not a problem with the cellular provider. It occurs to me that this was probably and issue from the original time I dropped it off to be fixed as I never used my phone since I dropped it off due to the phone not charging the first time it was returned to me. I came back into the store to tell them what was going on, He tried to make excuses a weasel out of responsibility for the phone damage. He concedes and take the phone, i come in once a week for the next 3 week He gives me the run around says they are working on it, they have another person working on it ect. Then finally I get the response that they sent it off to some kind of cell phone professional that can fix anything. The specialist found out it was the sim card tray (just like i told them) and it would be 2 weeks before he fixed it and got it back to the store, 2 weeks later I stop in and nothing, the next week he tells me that it is in town he will get it tomorrow two days later i come in he says the next day now its a week later I keep checking in and there is always some excuse, this has cost me so much. read more
