The absurdly high rating for this biz had me calling them immediately, in which a young man named Eid promptly quoted $250 to fix it. This was at least $50-75 cheaper than most of their competition. I agreed to it. It's a tiny shop that's next to a gas station. It looks completely run down and if it weren't for the reviews, I'd have a hard time seeing myself here. I was told that I'd be able to come pick it up in roughly 3 hours. Kudos for allowing same-day service. By the time it was ready for pickup, I came in to inspect the phone. I noticed just there are some gaps on the screen but it was responsive. Right as it became time to pay I learned they were unwilling to accept the Yelp check in offer of 10% off and would charge an additional $20 fee when deciding to use a credit card. I went out to get cash and eventually paid. When asking for a receipt, he gave me a piece of paper with some scribbles and largely illegible penmanship. Overall the repair was successful, the price was right, but the inconvenience and shoddy customer service might mean I will reconsider my business if this ever happens again.

I know CPR. And so will you if you get your cell fixed here…read more Not always the best but still a cheap and somewhat reliable place to get a cellphone fixed, despite a lot of very fake reviews. This is a massive Plaza located at Chimney Rock and Westheimer in the Galleria area which has all kinds of restaurants and good stuff and plenty of parking spaces, which is excellent. It's a good plaza and one which we visited many times over the years.

This place may be a 30 minute drive from my house, but its well worth it!…read more I had to take my Pantech phone here because it stopped charging, after taking it to several other wireless centers in my area. All the phone "experts" told me that I needed to get a new phone and that it was no way for them to fix it. I was heartbroken when they told me that because I loved my phone so much I didn't want to buy another. So, I googled "cell phone repair shops in Houston" and this one showed up on Yelp, so after reading all of the positive reviews, I then looked on the website and saw that they were located near the Galleria area. I was little skeptical about driving that far, but I insisted on getting my phone fixed. I first called them and Thomas, the electrical engineer technician talked to me. He was sweet, caring, and understood what I was going through. He then said, come on in and he'll give me a Free estimate to determine what was wrong. When I got to the place, I was greeted by Thomas, he said "So, you're the girl with the Pantech." and I said, "Yes, it is I" He took my phone and went to the back to figure out the problem then after 10 mins he came back and gave me some solutions. He then said well this can be fixed, its nothing wrong with the charger, its the charger port its broken. He only charged me $65 to fix, and I wanted to wait an hour (because I drove a long way) and he charged me $5 to stay (its a policy they have). They have an aquarium, and a big flat screen tv to view while waiting. After sitting down for an hour, he came back with my phone and said he fixed it, and he actually did fix it. I was so happy! I couldn't stop smiling. I was so relieved, I seriously wanted to hug him because he was true to his work! This place is where it's at, don't go to your nearby grocery store wireless center, come here and you won't be sorry!!!! My favorite technician is Thomas because he is very friendly, nice, and won't give you an attitude. I talked to the other technicians and they weren't as sincere as Thomas. Do ask for Thomas, he cares and he loves to help others!!!

I've visited this store twice, once during the week and once on a Saturday evening and both times there were maybe a handful of people waiting to be assisted. The store is very well kept, clean, spacious and modernly decorated as all their stores are. However their reps make this visit worthwhile; they seem to truly care for the customer, which is a first for me! The first visit went well, I wanted to use my sim in another phone (instead of the loaner they lent me) but the size of the sim required was smaller than what I had. Of course the standard practice is to charge the customer for another sim but the rep suggested that she'd cut it to the smaller size and give me the cutout to keep so that when I received my phone I can insert the sim into the cutout and it should work as new. What a brilliant idea! And I don't have to pay any extra? Then yeah, let's do it! Got my phone two days ago, inserted my smaller sim into the cutout and it works as new! Second time I visited (today) I wanted assistance with putting on my screen protector, which they placed on my phone for me. Of course, if I am being taken care of as a customer, then I'm willing to support, so I purchased a mobile hotspot from this location (after I was turned off by how expensive it was) and enjoyed the professionalism of the team that worked there. If you are in the area and need to do anything T-Mobile related, I recommend this store hands down. They are located in the plaza off of Yorktown and Westheimer, behind The Capital Grill, next to the Smashburger.

Anyways, I explained to her I was a couple days behind the 30 day deadline but was told at the other store I bought the phone from that if that happens they can still help me I'd just need to come in. Her response was extremely condescending and rude, I'm guessing since I interrupted her screen time, as she said "Oh you're past the deadline? Well we can't help you then, you can't trade it anymore." didn't even bother checking anything. Then once her manager comes up beside her, her entire demeanor changed as she asked for my info to look it up in the system, tells me "oh well I don't know let me ask my manager what we can do." Shows her manager the screen, and all he tells me is "yeah I would recommend calling 611 while you're here and telling them the situation to see if you can still do the trade in" still no direction other than that, nothing. So I go and sit down, call 611 (mind you it's an automated robot) get sent a link to my phone and hung up on by the service center while the two of them are just sitting there watching me from the stand. After this, I decided to just get up and leave to the store I bought the phone from (4920 San Felipe) seeing as these people are clearly not in the business of helping people and was able to get my trade in done with the help of the San Felipe team literally within 10 minutes as they actually took the time to walk me through what to do and also how to get past the automated robot to speak with someone to explain the situation. I recommend anyone seeing this to save yourself the trouble and go to the store off San Felipe so you don't waste your time with the incompetence of the people working at this store.
