First of all im a tmobile customer for over 10 years. I went in to trade my router because the back where the plug goes in is loose. First the girl tells me there is gonna be a 80 dollar charge . I was already mad cause I was waiting 2 hours . When I have went into other tmobile stores when the plug or the router have messed up with an exchange..so it was ridiculous that she tells me 80 dollars. The manager just walks around doing nothing but talking and gossiping with her fellow employees. I will never go into that store again..I ended up going to another tmobile store and just like usual they exchanged it out with no charge. This wasn't some general nationwide promotion; it was a targeted offer specifically for long-term customers like me. When I went to the Menifee store to use this offer, the rep flat-out denied its existence. He incorrectly told me I had to add a line (which customer service confirmed was NOT true). Frustrated, I left without trading in. Fast forward to this week -- I called T-Mobile again, and they reassured me that my plan is eligible and the offer still applies. The rep even stayed on the phone while I placed the order through the app for in-store pickup. I picked up the new phone, activated it at home, and returned later to drop off my old iPhone 14 Pro (which had a cracked screen -- irrelevant, since the promotion was for any condition). Here's where it gets shady: The store employee changed my trade-in promotion without telling me. Instead of honoring the $830 offer (RMA ending in 9083), he created a new one (RMA ending in 3766), claiming "display issues" -- as if the condition even mattered under the promo. T-Mobile kept me hostage for almost 4 months saying after I paid off the balance they kept sending me a new balance which there should not have been . They make it virtually impossible for you to get a hold of someone and you have to tell them your PIN number or else they cannot get into your account so they make you go to the store . After I paid the $3.67 balance they sent me a new balance the next month even though the account was closed. I am a proud disabled marine and I do not need this extra anxiety with everything going on . All that T-Mobile did was to make it so I will never never ever give them any consideration as long as I live . Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced . I've been with T-Mobile for a long, LONG time. Thankfully, I've rarely ever had to come in to this store for service on my phone. The one time I did about a year ago, it was a hot mess. They used to have you check in at the height of the covid lockdown, then wait in your car until you got a text telling you to come in. Now it seems they do that only when they are super busy. I didn't have the greatest service when I went in to have them fix my phone issue. This review is based more on the T-Mobile Tuesday freebie pick ups. I come in because of the convenience and am usually in the area. This morning I went in about 10 minutes after they opened thinking I could grab the freebie and be on my way. I walk in at 9:10am and stood at the door for about a good 5 minutes before the lady who was helping a couple finished up with them. She then said she could help me as the couple walked out. There was another couple being helped by a guy, who had his back turned because he was using the computer on the back wall. They had 2 employees there at the time, 2 couples who were being helped and no one acknowledged me at all. I guess that little doorbell ring that goes off when you walk in serves no purpose. Most other locations will acknowledge and greet you even when they're super busy. It's called good customer service but it doesn't exist here, unfortunately. When I finally had her attention, I asked if they had the bags. She had to go look for them, so she went to the back and took about another 5 minutes. Then she comes out with 2 of them, because by then there were 2 others who came in after me. She handed one to me, as she was on her phone, talking to her manager (I assumed, since she was saying how she had to look for them and how you had to click on it in the app, etc.). She did not check to verify that I redeemed the offer on my phone. IF I was a shady person, I could have easily went back later or to another location to get another if I hadn't redeemed the offer on the app. Lucky for them, I am NOT shady. They really need to train the employees at this location to be more professional and customer service oriented. I'd recommend the location in Temecula, by Urbane Cafe on Winchester. My boys Jay, Eloy, and Juan know what's up!! Idk if they still work there, but I left them a glowing review. Go there instead! I'd suggest having an employee at or near the door to keep track of customers coming in for service and those who are just picking up the freebies. You'll likely have to flag someone down or just walk up to an employee to let them know you're there. I have a business T-Mobile account for phones and Sprint Spark mobile hotspot for traveling data. Our old box was failing and we had a newer device but it needed the SIM card replaced as it was two different sizes. I arrived before opening a d there was one person ahead of me. They check you in outside. Social distancing was requested as well as mask. They permit only 10 people in the store at a time. I worked with Fausto. He was very helpful and patient as we worked through some multiple account issues and a charge we were unaware of. Fausto worked diligently to resolve all issues and I left the store with all my issues and needs addressed. I know this store has gotten some bad reviews for customer service but from what I experienced as well as saw and heard, it might be some agitated customers. Not too many review stores like these so it's usually those with a bad experience that reviews and those with good service go about their day. The $400.00 rebates they offered me 10 weeks ago never came, after 6 phone calls, and 14 representatives later, they tell me that it's not approved yet and they need another 10 weeks. The last representative was so disrespectful, argumentative, Filipino off shore third party support, I had to call back again and again again, then I had another first with another Filipino after asking for the US escalations department. After yet another 45 minutes on hold, they told me I'd have to call back to call back to speak to an American, another several calls later, more Filipinos, it's still unresolved. Avoid at all costs, Sneaky sales reps that take advantage of customers. Then refuse to fix what they did telling me 'call 611'. Telling you one price but selling you something for double the price and NEVER showing us any documents to sign. I thought it was weird but haven't been inside a T-Mobile since they used computers. Maybe they don't have enough visibility on those tiny iPads. The entire time I was there and they were refusing to help I was texting t-Mobile customer service who actually fixed everything. Gave me the credit, canceled the line and put in a report about the location. I wanted to believe it was all an honest mistake but after the Manager tried coming at us rude and realized she was in the wrong she wouldn't make eye contact anymore. I really had a horrible experience at this location, I walked in and normally your greeted but the crew at the initial cash registered snubbed me and greeted the customer that entered after me. The saving Grace that made me stay was Carlos, this man was awesome and very attentive to my needs as a customer unlike the other 8 that were literally on there phones. Our app said we had an upgrade available, so we went in last week. Caesar told us we could upgrade, but we would have to pay the taxes on the new phones +$85. He said if we waited a few more days the $85 would be waved. Then we go there for the second time and talk to Caesar. Now, we have to wait until my new bill generates on my app. When the bill generated we went back a third time today and talked to someone else. We told him what we were told. He said, we could upgrade today, but my bill would go up $52 each month, along with paying the taxes on the new phones. He said we had to wait another year to keep the same payment. 3 different stories each time! Because of Caesar reassuring us, we bought new cases and new screen protecters. Now I wasted the money on the new phone gear, along with wasting gas having to go back 3 times. Very poor communication!
