My phone would beep 3x and calls would end. People could not call me. The associate that helped me, Sophia, was exceptionally patient and professional. My situation required requesting a 'reset to switch' basically where my number was taken off the network system temporarily then added back. Worked like a charm! I appreciated her patience because we had to troubleshoot if it was a device related issue or network connectivity. I'm super grateful because I was able to buy a new phone and she advised that we try to distinguish the root of the issue. Asian guy told me that this location can't process that transaction & that this has to be done at a "special" T-Mobile location (Rosemead or Pasadena). Drove to Rosemead & found out that all locations can do trade ins. The person at the Rosemead location asked if someone at the Alhambra location sent me there. **DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. My family & I came here in hopes of trading in our phones since we were in need of an upgrade. We had a guy try to help us & all he mentioned was just BS. He kept telling us to just go to Apple for the trade since it's a "better deal" so he wouldn't have to deal w/ trading 4 phones in. He gave us another option to change our line but even then the numbers he gave us didn't make sense. **** They also will add Apple care ins into your plan without telling you so you will need to deactivate that yourself ... MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT IT. We drove all the way to Pasadena Apple for the trade in & they didn't allow in store trade ins. It's all online now so that was a bust. At this point we're going back & forth.... & it was frustrating. We ended up going to the Tmobile in Pasadena & they explained everything thoroughly. What ever bs the guy w/beanie & long hair mentioned at the Alhambra location didn't even come close to the numbers we got there. We ended doing our business with them & got our phones the same day. Like come on... it wasn't even that hard. My brother went back to the Valley location to give in his old phone to ship back since its close to us. Some asian guy then mentioned that he CANNOT take in the old iphone to trade in for him & that he needs to print out the label & do it himself. TF, they can. They just didn't want to do it. Great experience with this T-mobile location. I previously went to another t-mobile location closer to home, but had a bad experience of waiting for 45 minutes before we were even seen while others were jumping the line. After the wait, I tried to let the representative know that I was planning to migrate my account into a new one and the primary account holder(PAH) had authorized me to leave the line. The representative that did not even want to check the system/account memo but was too lazy to even look it up and kept telling me that the PAH needs to call 611 first, even after I told him the PAH has. At this location, Chloe T. was the representative that helped. She went above and beyond with helping us with migrating our lines to a new account. She was attentive and patient with all our questions and also very good at multitasking to speed up the process. Was in and out of the store promptly with everything I wanted achieved. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION THEY ARE SCAMMERS I had my phone stolen and needed a new one ASAP. The workers were nice and helpful. When they were scanning my phone I noticed that they had 3 T-Mobile trackers they were scanning as well. When I asked what this was for they said that it was a special promotion and that these trackers were free. I assumed that because I had spent so much money and paid the phone in full that I got these free trackers as a perk, it made sense to me at the time however I still thought it was strange that they were just scanning it into my account without any initial explanation or indication of what they were for. I left happy that I had a phone and "free trackers". The next morning I had gotten multiple texts messages saying I needed to activate the trackers/lines and that we will start getting charged once activated. I called customer service and they told me that yes the trackers were free but there is a monthly charge of $10 per tracker. This information was NOT given to me initially. I was furious and felt like I had been scammed. I immediately took them back at 10am when they opened to return them. When I arrived Eric, who I believe is the manager, kept trying to pitch to me and say that I am still getting a good deal. I was not buying into it and wanted a refund and to cancel the lines. He then said that I could return them but not until the original employee that sold me the phone was back in, which he said was the next day. This did not make any sense to me as I was just in the day prior and also had the trackers and receipts with me. I left and called the T-Mobile location in Pasadena on Huntington and explained what happened, they said that the location on Atlantic/Valley is owned by a 3rd party and runs as a franchise so they do not do things by the book and operates doing very shady activities like this. I was able to go to the Pasadena location and return all trackers with out any problem. I will NEVER be going back to this location, please save the trouble and headache. Based off of the other mostly 1 Star reviews it seems like it's a common thing they do to add unnecessary things onto your plan without your knowledge. read more

I live in Monterey Park, but it seems like every time I have a problem with my phone nobody seems to be able to help me out in my area so I always end up at the T-mobile in alhambra. I was at the same store a couple of weeks ago trying to purchase a new phone but they were out of stock. But today I had a problem with my phone , because my girlfriends could receive my text messages but when they tried to text me back , I could not read their messages. Like always , Sandy greeted me with the biggest smile and took care of the problem. She is so knowledgeable it amazes me... Her Brain is like a computer. There is nothing she can't figure out. I love her smile and her attitude and the way she goes about helping her customers without making us feel stupid... I would give her a ten++++. Skinny Asian guy who worked at 7:20 PM tonight was rude, said he was the manager. From the start as soon as we walked in he said "last call is at 7:30 so good luck if we don't call you have a good night." Luckily he called us up at 7:29 pm... when we got up he insisted on trying to sell us our own line and when we said no we only want an upgrade he said "you won't get much for this." Referring to my iPhone 12. When we asked him what the difference was in I phones his words were "they're the same shit." When we asked him the difference on the phone again he went on to violently slap each phone and just give us the dollar amount. I was in the area, so I came in here to simply change my screen protector. I walk in and two employees are busy, and the other two are actively having a lively conversation with each other and ignore me walk in. They blankly stare at me like I'm an animal.. I say hi and that I need to change my screen protector. One guy says "oh god I don't want to do that" under his breath, so the girl is forced to service me. She then asks for my ID and says she can't change my screen protector because the owner of the plan isn't there with me. Like what. My phone number is under the plan. I've been to the one in Arcadia, Covina, and Baldwin Park and they all let me change my protector. But I don't argue and I just walk away. So I go to the one in Baldwin Park (as I usually do) and they serviced me wonderfully. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and they changed my screen protector with no problem. Walked in to drop off my phones for the T-Mobile trade in program. The promotion online literally says that you can mail them in or drop it off at any T-Mobile store. The rep said that I couldn't drop off my phones at that particular store and that I had to mail them out. I called another T-Mobile and they were able to do it and mentioned that every T-Mobile should be able to do it. If you want to be helped, don't go to this T-Mobile. read more

SCAM ARTISTS! My 80+ year old father came to this location thinking that he was getting a great deal from T-Mobile based on the mailer sent to his home. When he asked me to help him understand why his bill was so high, I realized that he had been tricked into getting a new upgraded Samsung phone and tracking devices (T-Mobile's version of the Apple AirTags) at "no extra cost". All of these "no extra cost" items showed up on his bill with a monthly charge for the phone and monthly service charge for the trackers (which he was told to take 3 since they were "free", but really there's a service fee of $3/month per tracker). The worst part about the trackers is that we couldn't activate them and pair them with my dad's phone, so we called T-Mobile's support line and they told us to take the devices to the T-Mobile store when they couldn't troubleshoot. When we went to this store for tech support, they told us they couldn't help either and told us to call the phone support again. Since we had the non-functioning trackers, we wanted to return them, but they were now considered "used" and T-Mobile said that we had to continue paying for the service or pay for the trackers to deactivate them ($35/tracker). Given all of the frustrations with T-Mobile, we went to another store nearby and learned that this Alhambra store is actually a reseller for T-Mobile and not a T-Mobile owned store with a track record of tricking people. They have a history of luring customers into additional products and services without clearly outlining the costs with the plan that people don't notice anything when they set up auto-pay for their bill. This experience has been so terrible that I will never choose T-Mobile in the future. read more

Awful customer service. Long line of people waiting for t mobile Tuesday product and whole time upselling each person who is already a t mobile customer. The whole point of t mobile Tuesday is to reward a current customer not make them wait and wait and wait until they upsell each person and take their info. I asked if they could have one person handing out product and one selling and they said no. So people are needlessly waiting for a thing that is supposed to take minutes but ends up taking an hour- this makes me want to switch carriers. This seems store specific. TERRIBLE. I would absolutely never walk inside this store ever again. Horrible customer service, especially ERIC. Who apparently was also the manager. I have no idea how he even managed to into a position that he was obviously extremely unqualified for. As he was SUPER CONDESCENDING AND RUDE. So before going to the store, I actually called T-Mobile Customer Support over 3 times to check if I were eligible for a promo. Specifically, I was calling about the iPhone 12 trade-in promo; which requires a new line activation and to trade in a good condition eligible iPhone. And every time, the customer reps confirmed that I did meet the promo requirement; they explained to me that I did activate 5 new lines with T-Mobile during its promotion period and was trading in an excellent condition iPhone XR. I further asked if I could do the trade-in promo in stores instead, and again the customer reps confirmed so. So I went to this T-Mobile store (#2954), which was the same store where I activated 5 lines. In the store, I told the customer rep (ERIC) of the iPhone 12 trade-in promo and the multiple confirmations through T-Mobile Customer Support. HOWEVER, Eric kept on refusing to help me. He was extremely adamant that promos can be used on the same day as line activations. When I tried to explain why I was confirmed to be eligible for the promos by the Customer Support call reps, he repeatedly talked over and refused to further listen to me at all. He even went on telling me that "those on T-Mobile's call line don't know what they're talking about" and turned me away. I ended up walking out of the store and started calling the T-Mobile Customer Support line again. I gave a brief overview of what transpired at the store and the phone rep was super apologetic and made an effort to make sure I was eligible for the promo. She even talked with her supervisor, and he also confirmed that the promo was eligible for me. I asked if it was possible to speak with ERIC and she agreed. When I walked back into the T-Mobile store, Eric did not make any eye contact with me and kept trying to "be busy with customers" even though there were 3 other free customer reps at the counter available to help them. The phone rep I was speaking with decided to help with the trade-in process and even told me she would wave all the service fees! Eventually, he could no longer appear to be "busy" as there were no other customers in the store. I handed over the phone to him, and guess what? ERIC WAS WRONG, I got my iPhone 12, and a complaint was written to the store by T-Mobile Customer Support rep. Overall, I had a really bad experience in this store. ESPECIALLY WITH ERIC. I received NO APOLOGY, NOR DID HE ACKNOWLEDGE HIS MISHANDLING WITH MY ISSUE AT ALL. Anyways I highly recommend opening lines through T-Mobile's phone reps, they have way better customer service and are 100% more knowledgeable than their in-store employees. read more

A recent trip to Tmobil in hopes of purchasing another phone, or upgrading our existing. Shortly after I informed the manager I think he was, about our intentions of an upgrade or purchase, he informed me that our purchasing a third line would be cheaper for us. I kindly rejected his offer, he insisted on trying to sell me a third line I was not interested in. So I asked him to break it down to me and show me on paper, and explain to me how this would be cheaper for me. After his ten minutes or so of scratching on paper like a feline in a litter box to try and sell me a third line. I informed him that we had no use for a third line and would not use it, if we bought it. When he was done scribbling, his notes showed us spending another 1300 bucks on a line we weren't going to use. I then asked him, how that was cheaper or made sense. He walked away, maybe stomping his feet, with an elevated voice saying "I'm just trying to help people out". I actually thought I was very nice through the entire process, regardless of what I thought, I remained a gentleman, and respectful. Though it felt at the time to be a waste of my time it really was a confirmation and a true reflection of our society today. Ignorance on full display. No shame. Not too very sharp. I had an awesome experience today. I just needed a sim activated on one of my lines and as soon as I came in they listed to exactly what I needed, read the notes of my customer care chat earlier in the day, and got it done! They made sure my sim activated properly and I was in and out in a breeze. I've found that at times other locations or customer care won't hear you out or will try to gaslight you into the path of least resistance but I get the sense that doesn't happen here. There are several T-Mobile locations in the area and next time I will definitely come back to this one! read more

Needed to switch contacts from one phone to another and the staff here were very friendly and helpful in helping me do so. They told me I needed to download an app called "Copy My Data" on both phones for a quicker sync, and once I did that, everything was hunky Dory! I arrived during lunch/afternoon time so I had to wait a bit, but not to long. But maybe they can use a few more employees? They had employees who spoke mandarin and Cantonese which can be very helpful if English isn't your first language. Overall, I would recommend this place because it's located in a very easy to enter location and has its own private parking lot and better yet free parking! read more

I don't recommend this location unless you have ample of time to spare. I spent over an hour waiting and left with nothing accomplished. I had to be skipped over several times, which was understandable the first few times, but having to wait that long got too much for me. Went in to try to upgrade our family's phones and got little to no help. I even called to make sure they had the new iPhones in stock before I went and the guy I talked to( Ralph) said he had some in stock. But couldn't tell me how many he had. He said to come in they can help me more. I went to the store with my family and a guy named Eric helped us, at first he was kind of helpful but I told him what I wanted and he to look to see what they had in stock in a back room. Before eric went to go look for the phones he grabbed some charger plugs and said you're going to need these because it doesn't come with plug charger making seem like we're getting cell phones from the store. After eric looked in the back room, he came out and said he only had one in stock for the iPhone 14 pro max. So I told eric if he can call another store so I'm not running around trying find the phones. He said no it doesn't work that way. It seemed after he didn't have the phones he didn't want to bother helping us anymore. Long story short, went to another t mobile store in Huntington and Fremont and they were very helpful and told them about the store I visited first and they said we hear that a lot from customers and that they're 3rd party t mobile store. THEY CALLED THE POLICE ON ME I came to this store to turn in a leased phone based on the manager's direction. Initially, I'm being helped by a trainee who doesn't really know what's going on so Rodrigo, Assistant Manager, comes walking in like a cowboy. He cops major attitude. I frustrated as heck so I ask him to call T-Mobile customer service. But Rodrigo says, "I'm not going to call customer service. You can call them." I say, "Why don't you want to call customer service for me?" He says, "It's not my job. Dial 611 on your phone." This store needs to shape up. I came in to upgrade a sim chip. I was the 5th person in line. 2 people were being helped at the counter and the rest in line. Over the course of 30 minutes the line just grew. The employees seemed very indifferent and apathetic towards the growing line. While waiting several people in line left because they were tired of waiting. I AM NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. This store's customer service is so very poor. I am not sure how they even got any positive reviews at all. Those positive reviews must have been written by family and friends. Everyone in the line I was in were all annoyed. I wanted people to read this review. I am also going to file a complaint with their corporate office to make sure they either replace this local sales management team or close this location down.
