Customer Service... None. I was a long standing customer with t-go tea when the Central Garden City complex was brand new. Since Covid (similar to Lisa. W's experience), I hadn't gone to the store, in quite some time. When I finally did get the chance to yesterday, I saw that the store front had renovated and the window display had "Wahaha coming soon" written on it. I messaged T-Go Tea on their Facebook page, asking them if they had closed down. They responded proudly telling me of their new partnership with Pepper Lunch. I proceeded to ask them if they would still honor any cash card previously purchased, where they simply stated "No." This new business has no intent of honoring any promises previously made by management. read more

There are quite a few spots in the Smartcentres Richmond plaza (landmark: Walmart) and after grabbing a light bite, we randomly stumbled into T-Go Tea. It's a few doors down from Bánh Mi Très Bon. We dropped in on an early Monday evening (around 6:00pm) and were the only ones there. The inside is a bit tight but there's 10 seats in the back to sit at. They could probably add another table or two if they fixed the layout. Lots of artwork on the walls (artist is pka Martin). They had two free samples at the front (purple rice black tea and peach oolong tea). Menu is up on their chalkboard along the wall: milk teas, fresh teas, smoothies, teapresso, teapresso latte, teapresso icy diamond, sea salt milk cap and espresso. Interesting that they had a kale smoothie option! You can customize your ice and sugar levels. - Roasted milk tea ($4.25) - we added pudding ($0.50). The drink was decent; slightly roasted but we found it a bit too sweet. We got 50% ice and 50% sugar. Next time, would go even lower on the sugar. - Bubble waffle ($2.50) - it's normally $3.50 but they had a promotion where you buy any drink and combo a large bubble waffle for $2.50. Super cute shop with a huge menu selection. Was very impressed with all the different types of teas that they offer. Was also pleasantly surprised that they have almond milk options and fresh avocado smoothies on their menu-- the first time I have see it in a boba shop in Vancouver. I tried the caramel pudding milk tea which was pretty good with good tea flavors. The barista was friendly and we got our drinks super quickly after ordering. Really cute shop with super friendly staff too; I arrived a couple minutes past their Happy Hour time frame but was still able to get the drink at the promo price. Also a fan of the options when it comes to customizing sweetness and ice level. The drink itself was refreshing and not too sweet, which I really liked! The tea flavour was strong and present, and they gave a good amount of topping (coconut jelly). All in all super happy with this cafe and would definitely go back!! read more

What I love about T-Go is its welcoming atmosphere, even during the pandemic! I think it's truly wonderful how the store is willing to go the extra mile with safety measures to protect its workers and customers (plexiglass, lining up outside, closing seating, etc.) The baristas that helped me were very friendly, knowledgable, and efficient--which I understand takes a fair bit of effort especially during these times. They looked like they were college students; a guy and a girl, both Asian. They recommended me various drinks after I explained what I wanted, as well as telling me the customizations I could make with sweetness and ice levels, and did so with a smile. The drink itself was excellent. I'm normally picky with pearls, but T-Go has yummy, chewy, pearls that I'll look forward to the next time I'm shopping in the area. I love how close this is to home and that they were offering the stamp card deals. I wish they still had the $30 for 10 cards but a least they occasionally offer happy hour deals and the $50 for 10 cards. They have tons of options for tea, fruit smoothie or milkshake lovers. I love the avocado smoothie, the kale smoothie and the milk tea with the milk foam. Their pearls are perfectly chewy but not too soft and you can pick several other add ons too. Like most other places, you have the option to modify how much sugar and ice you may want as well. It is a "to go" place but there's a small dining area in the back if you want to hang out with friends. There's also an art display with listed prices but I've never inquired about them. If you plan on coming here often I would suggest that you buy the stamp card since it's a much better deal than buying the drinks individually. read more

Holy cow! If you're a tea fan AND you're a bubble tea fan, you gotta check this place out because their teas definitely don't lie; you can taste how authentic the tea is with every sip. Sure, the prices are a little bit on the pricier side and their gigantic menu written on chalkboard wall might give you a little bit of a neck strain but they don't skimp on the tea taste like many bubble tea shops. AND if you get three drinks, you get a bubble waffle on the house so why not? The weather is very humid in Vancouver recently and we got the slush varieties and it was the perfect drink. A good place to go if you're in the area, and want to get bubble tea and bubble waffle at one location. Their restaurant is basically a long narrow path for order & pick up (which feels awkward when it's busy), with some seating and local wall art all the way in the back. They also have a pretty chalkboard wall, where it's fun to take IG-worthy photos. They use fresh and natural brewed tea leaves over powders, which definitely piqued my interest. There were lots of drink options and new flavours added regularly, but whenever I go to a bubble tea place I ALWAYS try their original milk tea. I use as my overall gauge of their drinks, and whether or not I should come back. Their's actually wasn't very memorable, but I'm willing to try it again - as I think their specialties are the custom brewed teas without any milk in it. Their bubble waffle had a nice tasting batter that I liked, which was more eggy (a little bit like a Japanese cheesecake), but was a bit softer than I'd prefer. The best bubble waffles have a nice and light crispness on the outside, with a doughy inside, so this didn't really make my top list. Overall it's nice to go here if you're planning on hanging out at the shopping centre, and would come back...but with so many other options in Richmond, I doubt that I would really go out of my way to come here. read more

Looking for a basic iced tea after lunch and wandered over to this place. It's tiny in the front, but you can walk to the back where there's a sitting area which I didn't check out. I ordered the classic milk tea ($4). It had a nice and strong black tea flavour. They didn't have the iced lemon tea I originally wanted. When I find a place that you can get bubble tea without sugar, I'm an instant fan. So happy that gone are those days when patrons would try to force their sugar laden boba's on you or ask you why you don't want sweet tea? Education baby, you need to understand that not everyone likes it sweet. I like it natural. None of the liquid sugar, sugar cane, glucose, fructose or whatever inspires you to think I need it. Besides if you're diabetic, then what? Hello? So I'm glad to say these people here understand this. You get options and toppings to choose from and they make the teas with tender loving care. It takes time to do this as well. You don't want a hastily brewed tea now do you? Ok, maybe some of you do.... but for me? I want it right. Heck when I see a review by Amorose that this is one of her favourite tea places, then I have to listen. I must pay attention. She knows her teas. Love the paintings. I am thinking of buying one. The bobas are chewy and perfectly flavored, not overwhelmingly sweet but enough to make for your mouth water. David (the owner) was there when we visited the place (with his girls) and they were just Super.Nice.Peeps, which makes the place even more inviting. We tried the Bubble Waffle and this stuff is made of heavenly powder - not too sweet, just right and super tasty. ***Oolong tea with pearls *** I don't really like its taste. Oolong tea had very light tea flavour and it was way too sweet for me . Even I ordered it with 80% sugar. Not sure what happened to my tea??Maybe the sweetness was from pearls? ? Remember to order your drink with less sugar if you're not a fan of sweet drinks. Came to Canada to visit and tried this boba place. It's quite small but decorated really aesthetically. We got a 50% the milk tea because it was a mon-fri special and the nice owner even offered to give us a free egg waffle to try(and it was really good). The mango slush with boba was really good too.. I honestly wish there was this boba store in Los Angeles. As a customer who has tried A LOT of boba places throughout Southern California this place has made a mark. My world brightened the day I discovered T-Go Tea. The delicate flavours swarmed my lips, consuming me as I consumed it. As I took my first sips, my eyes lit up in surprise at the pure deliciousness of it, but quickly softened as the flavourful roasted aromas overtook me. The bubbles were soft and tender just like my heart felt when I first tasted them. All in all, it's a wonderful place with amazing atmosphere and drinks. I'm really starting to like this mall. It has everything from restaurants, groceries, spa services, banks, and places that sell buns and clothes. This bubble tea is made for customers who want to take their drinks to go, as their name suggests. If there's a lineup, it may get really busy inside (especially when it rains) when everyone's waiting for their drinks. They were quick today. The latte was ok. Perhaps not the best choice as it tasted like milk with water. Next time if I drop by, I will try their roast milk tea. read more

It's not often that you see samples with pearls and complete with the straws at the front of the counter....but that really helped us narrow down our choices. There were two red bean with pearls and rose latte with pearls. It wasn't too sweet as I usually ask for half sweet and the pearls were done right. Whenever I try a new bubble tea place, I get the recommended drinks or the pearl milk tea. That's what sets the bar. I went with the popular and recommended pearl milk tea. Service was pretty quick. However the drink was very diluted lacking tea flavour, and the bubbles were mushy... I've tried T-Go Tea when they first opened and recalled it was mediocre. I wanted to come back to try their Brown Sugar Matcha Latte. I arrived on a weekend afternoon to an empty store. The two female staff were chatting and one came to the front when I arrived - no greetings or a smile. She just stood there waiting. I ended up ordering two drinks that were very reasonably priced ($11 after tax) and the drinks were made promptly. The only thing that slightly bothered me was that they are cash only and especially during this unprecedented time, it would be nice to have credit card payment options. You can't customize ice or sugar level for the brown sugar matcha latte, but I found the flavor quite pleasant. The pearls were a tad too hard for my liking and while I saw the brown sugar syrup in the drink, I didn't taste the brown sugar in the pearls. The drink was also quite creamy, which I think was a tad too much. I didn't try the passionfruit green tea I ordered so can't comment on that. Overall, I think drinks are fair priced though not spectacular or anything special. Service need a touch of work. Update: Unfortunately, had to downgrade due to mediocre service today. The cashier did not welcome or greeted me. He just stood there looking at me and waiting. However, I think the owner? was very friendly and we talked for a couple of minutes about the menu. The decor was cute; it has lots of chalk drawing and writing on the wall. They also provided sample bubble tea for people to try. I picked up a small tub of bubble tea sample of roasted milk tea and the instant hit of deliciousness convinced me to order one right away. I love T-Go Tea. Full disclaimer, I generally get a roasted milk tea 1/2 sweet w/ boba. I know it's pretty basic, and tbh I haven't tried their other flavours much (I often stick with something I love until I'm sick of it). The staff here is awesome, fast, and friendly. The actual store is usually spotless, and the aesthetic isn't bad. I find myself coming here pretty often. Another plus is that happy hour is after 9 on weekdays (50% off the first 6 drinks on the menu). One small minus is that I wish their boba was more chewy and less soft, but that may just be a personal preference. They're definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. One note, like many Richmond businesses, they are cash only. There is a TD and an RBC in the same plaza if you need an ATM. read more

New discovery over the past weekend but they've been open for a little over a year now. Nobody else was there when we went, but fast and friendly service. Got the Red Bean Blizzard, the Roast Milk Tea, and an original Egg Waffle. There is an egg waffle + drink combo which is super worth. Pearls were great, drinks were good. I ordered a "fresh taro" bbt with a bubble waffle. 1) Waited over 15 minutes 2) fresh taro completely tasteless, tasted like a sugary cup of milk 3) bubble waffles also completely tasteless, and it was bagged too quickly without proper cooling, it was soggy within a minute in the bag Only went there out of convenience of shopping at Walmart, will never go again considering the quality. Ordered the lychee black tea with pearls and it tasted good!! Not too sweet and had a prominent black tea flavour which I liked. The only thing that drags the rating down for me would be the rude service from the girl that took my order and served me. I was waiting for my drink and walked over to the pick up counter when I heard my number but my drink was not there when I checked.. After waiting about 5/10 minutes waiting I hear her call my number again and I proceed to walk over to grab my drink and thank her for her service. Before I could even say anything she says "I called you three times." Gave a look, and then walked back to the register. ???????????¿¿¿¿¿¿ I was waiting and I didn't happen to see my drink, I even hovered over the counter a bit further to see if it was hiding behind something else. I ordered the Red bean purple rice barley latte with almond milk and grass jelly, no ice ($7.75). My husband had the hexagrain latte with almond milk, hot ($7). Both our drinks were watery and flavourless. Apparently there was a tiny tea bag of the named ingredients in the drink, which failed to provide enough flavour to the cup of - what tastes like 10% milk + 90% water - latte. The hot drink was lukewarm. Both drinks basically tasted the same like water with a bit of milk for color. After drinking about 20% of it, I had to dump the whole drink salvaging only the $.50 added grass jelly. The menu all sounded so good but unfortunately there is a big gap in what they deliver. Very unique selection of teas and they always have samples at the front for you to try. I do wish their teas tasted stronger though. They're all very mild but since they don't use artificial milk tea enhancers like your usual place so I can't really complain. They use real milk in all their milk teas and have an almond milk option too if you're into that. Don't come here if you prefer that oily finish from your non-dairy creamers/powders. Their pearls are always nice and chewy and not super sweet and I love their grass jelly! I actually hope people don't find out about this place heh. It's usually fairly empty so I frequently study by myself there because it's so quiet. The BBT here almost makes me feel healthy lol.
