Do not waste your time with this company. Poor/sketchy workmanship. They do not honor their warranty. They are very rude and will ghost you if there are issues. We've reported them and all evidence to CSLB. TD replaced our roof 3 years ago and now we see mold on our ceiling due to a leak. We contacted them to do an inspection and remedy the damage under warranty in Feb 2026 and it is now almost May 2026 and they have not scheduled anything with us. There is a 5 year warranty and the job was completed 3 years ago yet they are not honoring their warranty. This shows that they do not care about their customers and do not take any pride in their work. This resulted in us having to get inspections from other roofers who found source of leak and poor workmanship (damaged shingles, exposed nails, wrong nails used, nails poking out of shingles). I did get David on the phone one time and he was very rude and yelling at me about how he won't inspect water intrusion points/ damages in the attic even after we told him we found mold. On top of that, we found out that they never pulled the permit with the city so we never got inspected by the city (probably because they wouldn't pass anyway based on other terrible reviews on here). Very poor experience. I would not recommend using TD Roofing. They sent only one person to work on my 1,500 sqft roof. He removed the original wood boards from my roof, and took pictures to show me the roof's poor condition. Afterward, he added up the cost. I used TD Roofing about 1.5 years ago for a complete roof replacement and I will let the photos speak for themselves. I'm disabled and I'm not able to inspect the roof myself. TD Roofing installed the roof of our home prior to purchase. The home came with a roofing certificate from TD roofing, guaranteeing it would be "water tight" for 3 years. Within the time window, a small leak appeared near our heater exhaust. I called TD Roofing multiple times, and texted, and was repeatedly given the run-around. They asked me to call back at a different time (which I did, to no success), they told me they would be "out next week" (they never came), and they refused to put me on their calendar for a visit. This has been exhausting getting them to honor their certificate, and so unprofessional - who makes their customers be the ones to constantly follow up, refusing to schedule them for an appointment? At this point I've given them a deadline to make the repairs, otherwise I will be taking them to court. read more

Our new Certanteed Landmark Pro Solaris ( it provides 25% cooling from passive reflection - bits of glass in shingles) looks great! David and his crew did a great job at a great price. They replaced our home's 30+yo shake roof, as well as removed two unused chimneys. We have a steep, two plus story roof that scared away several other roofing companies. Watch David climb up a 24 ft ladder with a smile on his face and it makes sense. From contract signing to permit approval (today), coordination and communication was easy and trouble-free. Terrible business practice. I was in contact with someone from the company for an estimate. Gave them the address to the site and was told they would be by during the week for an estimate and that they would get back to me. Fast forward 3 weeks -I have called numerous times and left many messages looking for my estimate. Still no answer. Basically I have been ghosted by this company. Would not trust or recommend this company for any future transactions. If they cannot return a simple phone call how would you be able to trust them in doing any major repairs to your property. They did a new roofing for me a few weeks ago. David came for a free estimate, the entire job was done by two Spanish speaking roofer in 5 days. All of them were friendly and easy to communicate with, job was done ok. The team was however not organized and not very professional I have to say. The crew dropped old shingles, nails, trash all round the house, on the driveway. I had to clean up my driveway everyday to remove nails and broken glass from their coke bottle. 2 weeks after it now, we just found and removed 6 roofing nails from our pool too. Overall the job was done ok but I really hope the crew can be more professional. read more

The only thing is that their staff didn't do a good clean up job around our house. There were nails left on our driveway! Some i almost stepped on. It started from 2 neighborhood from the back of my house do the tile roof with TD Roofing then soon populating to our neighborhood. You can see the work they done and the price they give to the home owner compare to other company is ridiculous. We save a lot of money buy do the roofing with them. Our roof using Boral product, duralite Villa 600 that come with Energy Saving plus 50 years warranty from the Boral. Our company called them for a quote. David came and gave us a quote for the vent pipe and roofing. We're paying him for the job, but he kept on asking us for help in terms of the labor portion. After he was done, we noticed that there were gaps around the pipe. He just taped it up with foil tapes. He assured us that it would be fine and if it leaks, we have a 2-year warranty and we can call him anytime. 2 days later, it was raining. And sure enough, it was leaking and we have a huge leakage problem next to our machines. We called him for 2 weeks straight trying to get him to come fix it because we can't operate our machines when it's leaking down to them. Left countless of messages and they were unanswered. When he finally called back after another week or so, he promised us he would come fix it. He never showed up! We waited till after work for a few days because he said he would show up, but no David. We loss businesses because of him. Bottom line. DON'T USE T D ROOFING!! They WILL screw you over! The job was done in the beginning of March of 2014. It is now 04/16/2014 and we still haven't seen him. What's the use of a 2-year warranty if they were never going to honor it? P.S. If this post is still here, that means he still haven't fixed the leaking pipe that he installed for us. This will be an indication of how responsible he is. Use at your own risk! Find a different roofer and stay away from this place. Our roof was replaced within a few days and I was impressed, but the lack of customer service on TD Roofing is troublesome. We have been trying to get a hold of Dung for the past week and he refuses to answer our calls - everything goes straight to voicemail after a few rings which suggests he is purposefully declining our calls. I have been calling to schedule for another project, but based on the previous reviews, it looks like he is not answering due to fear of a possible fail in our current new roof. The difference between David and everyone else in the business is that this guy knows how to work for you business. He's amazing on service as well as price. I had to get a roof onto my house before I was to move in, David was the only person willing to work on price right on the spot. It's a 2600 SF two story home and I received the following bids for a Presidential TL roof with solar shielded OSB and ridge vent across the top and new gutters. We had to replace our roof. After much research and looking around, asking friends, talking to potential vendors and getting quotes, we decided to go with T D Roofing and we're glad we did. David and Leslie have owned and operated their business for the last 19 years. I called them up, gave my address and David showed up at my house within 3, 4 hours and gave me a free estimate. Very knowledgeable and technical in a no-nonsense way. Signing the contract a few days later was equally quick and painless. Then the rain came. We were like... be done with this cold and wet weather already. As soon as the sky cleared, workers came and poured everything they had into the job and did not leave until everything was to our satisfaction and all the appropriate approvals were signed off. They made sure to clean our house or all debris and nails. Now we have a fabulous looking roof that was done in the most quality and quickest way. They replaced my roof and installed three sun tunnels. We were initially pleased with their work. However, three weeks after completion, objects in the sun tunnels fell inside. We tried to call them to come back to my home to fix the problems. We called multiple times in two weeks and we received no response. They even hung up when we identified ourselves! Make sure you got a signed commitment from Dung, because after the initial agreement, after the work started, he asked me for another $500 because he found out there was another old layer on the roof (not fair, he inspected it before giving the bid). The Mexican crew pounded on the roof carelessly, cracking my inside walls, and installed flashing incorrectly. During clean up they blew dirt and trash into my pool, costing me money and labor to clean the pool. Several nails and old roofing material were still found the ground around the house, I had to do the cleaning myself. He originally agreed to replace roof for my other house, as part of the package discount. But after roofing the first one, he would not do the second one, and just gave me another contractor name. Check sent to his business was "lost". It costed me more money to stop payment to the check, and then do a wire transfer. He then charge me another $200 fee for payment to other contractor. read more

TD roofing replaced our roof at Sept 011, after a neighbor recommended David to us. TD's price is at least 10% or more less than others we have quotes from. The quote was for the Presidential TL (tri layer), no gutter work. The work was efficient, city inspection without any hitches, and cleaned up after all the work. So far, no leaks and no issues. Because of the thicker tri layer material, the roof looks great, does not look like a cheap composite roof, and lots of colors to choose from. After TD did our roof, 3 other neighbors on the same street also requested its service. And we have not heard complains from them. I knew David since 15 years ago. At that time I felt he was an honest person. So I have kept his business card all these years. This year I finally had a chance to ask him to do my roof. His business has been growing bigger and bigger since last time I saw him. He showed me his works on a giant court in Sunnyvale, almost all the roofs in that court were wonderfully redone by him. He gave me advices about my roof issues in the past and how to correct them. I really thank him for that. The house is really cooled off since he added vents. David and his crew came out and gave me a very good estimate that was significantly less than two other estimates that I was given. We got the Presidential shingles. Their company pulled the permit from the city and dealt with scheduling the inspection so there was no hassle for me. They also installed a sun tunnel, which is great and now brings in a ton of natural light into our formerly dark family room. They also installed new gutters. They were also incredibly fast with a very large crew. I don't want to ding them and take away a star, but I did have a minor problem with the crew leaving some discarded food wrappers on my lawn and refusing to clean it up... A minor thing to deal with, especially given the thousands of dollars that I was saving, but still... We had a title roof with a minor leak last year. My wife call TD Roofing, and a worker working for David came out. He charged us $450 for half an hour of work with a promised guarantee of 1 year. The next rain came in a couple weeks later, and the roof leaked as before at the exact same spot (we had spent time and effort to repaint the interior wall after the first fix - this work was all destroyed). My wife called the company, and David came out. He looked at the roof, and wanted to charge us some more because "the roof leaked at a slightly different place". I asked him how would he know because he didn't fix it in the first place himself, and the leak was exactly at the same spot. David agreed to fix it without charge. He spent another half an hour on the roof. It rained against 6 months later, and we now have the same leak except it got worse (don't know if it was due to the fix or the non-fix). read more
