Pleasantly surprised! I have to admit my expectations were not too high when my friend who lives nearby invited me to the "neighborhood" shops and plaza area. The neighborhood is beautiful but the plaza area looked like a standard strip mall. Once inside my opinion started to shift. It has a small dining and bar area with a casual almost "divey" vibe. The bartenders were super helpful and engaging. The drinks were also up to snuff; the margaritas were made from scratch and even though I had three (yes, 3!) made by three different bartenders, they were all consistent. I was equally surprised with the bar food. We didn't get a full meal on this trip but we had a couple of apps and split some street tacos. All were really good. We spent a little time on the patio where I had my only complaint. It's in a great location with nice views and a pleasant breeze. Unfortunately it looks like an afterthought. It was a little dirty and run down; the inside vibe just didn't seem to carry through to the patio. Even so, I intend to go back! read more

We did the car side pickup, but there was no place to park right out front, so I parked several cars over, and they still brought my food out. We got the fajitas for 2, and it was great! I also got the margarita. Next time I'll get the bigger one - it was excellent! read more

Cute concept, "hole in the wall vibe", unfortunately that includes the "hole in the wall" smell and filth. Better off as a bar that sells apps, I'm not sure what's going on here. Seems like a watering hole for heavy drinkers. Debris and dirt all over the floors, and literally every surface of the floors and walls are covered in spilled drinks or beer. The whole place smells like skunked beer and old vomit. It's absolutely dank in there, maybe I caught them on a bad day. Hate to leave a bad review but if you're easily skeeved out, steer clear. It's honestly disgusting I can't imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen if the customer facing areas are so filthy. read more

This has become my family's de facto Taco Tuesday spot. The tacos and margaritas are amazing and on Tuesday's they are $3/$5 respectively. The patio has a great view of the Castle Hill pond and offers great views of sunsets. Above all else though, the staff is what makes this little place feel like home. James, Jackie, Adrian, Dolly, Shelby, and everyone else feel like part of our family every week! read more

Food is great!! I love the mimosa specials for brunch which is $7 but $1 refills! The staff was also very friendly and seemed like they were all good friends which is what I want to see at a local restaurant. I will definitely come back for brunch. read more

My wife and I come here for brunch so I haven't eaten off their normal menu, however the brunch is fantastic. Bottomless mimosas with different flavors (orange, mango, guava, passion fruit) - chilaquiles, tacos, etc. staff is friendly, place has a very relaxed vibe. Great little spot for date night! While their menu isn't huge (which suits the smaller restaurant) everything we ordered was delicious --the grilled oysters with candied bacon were a fun surprise but they also have all the TexMex classics you're looking for plus a great cocktail list to go with it! Where or where can I start, it was like an avalanche... I hate to be the person speaking badly but this isn't a covid issue. I seriously thought we were being punked- based on the reviews and pictures. 1. Walked in, just stares. No one seating or greeting. The bro-code was needed apparantly to get any interaction. Asked if we could sit at the bar with our 13 yr old since no one was there, but most tables full (two tables without chairs, the outside was dark)...apparently this was a difficult question. We were told no manager was there to tell them what to do. We sat ourselves at the last table across from the kitchen. 2. Teenagers everywhere but not a single person that knew how to run a restaurant. Zero interaction for 10 minutes at the table. The menu QR code didn't work. No drink menu. The Frat boy that was over talking to the group of late 40 yr olds that were drunk, was apparently the person in charge. 3. Filthy- the art with plastic covering had food/ drink splatters running down the front, floors were dirty, bathroom trashed with dirty toilet paper, running over paper towels, trash all over the floor, sink dirty, plastic menus with foods pieces, cabinets by the kitchen with food/ muck on the side, the yellow seating material had splatters of food all over. Watched the line prep kid wear gloves to wipe the counters and then put the same hands in the chips to bag them, same gloves to sweep the floor, same gloves to pick up our plates....do I need to go on? 4. Menu prices not the same as the bill (charges higher on every item) 5. Poor server that's training with no trainer insight, couldn't answer any questions. Order wrong even after asking the kid that's "in charge" (Still tipped him 20%) but good grief he'd be better off picking any other place to learn. 6. Had to ask for things that came with our order. 7. "In charge" Frat boy came over and "Wus sup'd" us, and asked if "Err thing cool guys" 8. The portion sizes were obviously cut. The cheese was the Walmart brand shredded cheese- I can't even. My kids burger was the biggest item on the table. 9. One of my pet peeves, if I (a woman) hand you a credit card, hand it back to me not the man at the table. 10. One positive, the beef on the bowl and burrito was fantastic. Compliments to the cook. Came here for Sunday brunch this past weekend and it was fantastic. The service is absolutely amazing - everyone went above and beyond!! Finally checked this place after having it booked more for quite some time. Ordered chips and salsa which were very good. Thick crispy chips and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. I ordered the pulled chicken, beef steak and carnitas street tacos. All were very good with just the right amount of flavoring. The service was friendly and attentive. Excellent experience! Came here for our 22nd wedding anniversary tonight. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the view of the park. A swamp cooler kept the patio tolerable on this muggy evening. Prompt and courteous service; excellent food. The free chips and salsa were great and the Cuban sandwich and skinny fries exceeded the waiters high recommendation. Less than mediocre in my opinion. The place is tucked away in the cute little village shops of castle hills with a hipster like vibe. The menu is a spinoff of street food in Mexico with authentic drinks and tacos. The food was not great and the drinks were okay and the service was great. It's great to see the improvement in customer service since my last visit this past winter. They've upgraded the bartender position on Friday nights and what a difference it makes! New fave near my house! I've only been here twice for brunch but both times were excellent! The staff is so nice and always incredibly helpful with menu questions. They have a mimosa special -$7 for the first and $1 for every mimosa after (you only need like 4 ) I ordered the Latin toast during my last visit (their take on French toast) and it was AMAZE. I absolutely love this place for brunch. Amazing service and awesome bartender for the TEN DOLLAR BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS!! And they are delicious too, no lack of quality in anything they do. I wish they had some more vegetarian options, and I even messaged the restaurant, but they must not look at yelp. Either way, we make due, they are super nice about any subbing we do. This has been our go to watering hole for quite sometime. We'll sling the occasional street taco and absolutely loved the Baja burrito when it was on the menu. We were recently encouraged to try the chilaquiles during weekend brunch. Side note. I eat chilaquiles from a gas station (#epic) but have been as far as Flagstaff for "world famous" chilaquiles only to be disappointed. TBD chilaquiles qualifies in the top two and shouldn't be missed. And of course the bar is unmatched anytime, except Monday! Open the damn bar on Monday. read more
