Great service and excellent food. What a lovely treat. We ordered Honey Chicken and Lemon Chicken. Both were made from chicken breast and fresh. When you come in, there's a small bowl of fried wonton strips and a dish of sweet and sour sauce on the table waiting for you. They also bring you a teapot and 2 small teacups when you get there. Perfect old skool Chinese food joint that will now be placed in my favorites!

We enjoyed a quick lunch here. The restaurant does a brisk take out business at lunchtime and also offers a very reasonable and wide variety of lunch plates for about $10. These offerings include a choice of soup, entree with choice of rice and a chicken wing. You can get an egg roll for a small up charge. Very generous amount of tasty food, fast and friendly service as well. While many of the dishes seem typical of Chinese American food, we found everything to be hot, tasty, not overly salty and just what we were looking for on a cold day. Give them a try

This place was a great find. While we were driving through downtown , we were tempted to get takeout Chinese when we saw the board. It didn't disappoint. The food was perfectly tasty, not heavy or greasy at all. They were able to prepare and be ready within 10 mins of us ordering by phone. The beef chop suey was perfect. Enough food for two people. Will go out of our way to get Chinese from here. Kennebunk - are you listening? We need good Chinese places like this here

Great service and excellent foods. Free parking lot is also convenient! They supply ice water and hot tea, the whole restaurant is very quiet.

Had dinner here with my Family earlier today. Haven't been here in almost 2 years! Definitely worth the wait. Service was pleasant and attentive, restaurant was clean and the food is CONSISTENTLY delicious. Everything is tasty which I love. Coming back here soon. Highly recommended one of the best Chinese food in NH.

Chicken and eggplant, house special lomein and an eggroll.

The local go to spot. If you are in the Exeter area and in the mood for Chinese food, check this place out. Very consistent.

Great food! We did take out and really enjoyed the food. Crispy fry, great tempura and house-fried rice. We'll be back!

Stay away. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Not only was everything cold, but the food was not even edible

I'm a vegetarian, and there's plenty of options, especially love the fresh summer roll with peanut sauce!!

It arrived like a confident, no‑fuss plate: a glossy tangle of noodles threaded with plump shrimp…read moreand thin ribbons of chicken, bright slivers of carrot and cabbage, and a scatter of bean sprouts and crushed peanuts that promised texture before the first forkful. The sauce is a warm, soy‑brown sheen rather than a syrupy glaze, which tells you the cook favored balance over theatrics; the vegetables still hold color, the shrimp look springy not puckered, and the proteins sit in the mix instead of hiding under a puddle of sugar. That visual honesty is already half the meal. On the palate it's a study in contrasts handled with restraint. The noodles have a slight chew that says they were finished in the wok, not boiled to oblivion; the shrimp and chicken show quick sear marks and keep a clean, saline sweetness; and the bean sprouts and peanuts deliver the bright, brittle punctuation every good stir‑fry needs. The sauce leans savory with a modest sweetness and a faint tang -- I'd bet on rice vinegar or tamarind playing quietly behind soy and a touch of palm sugar -- and it's used sparingly so each component still reads on its own instead of being smothered. Technique is obvious without being showy: a hot pan for that wok‑kiss, timed addition of the sprouts to preserve snap, and a final toss that glosses rather than drowns the noodles; there's no greasy residue, which means oil was measured and the pan was properly hot. This avoids the usual sins: limp noodles, cloying sweetness, and rubbery shrimp. My one small gripe is a missing bright note at the finish; a thin shave of citrus or an extra hit of acid would have sharpened the edges and made the whole thing sing louder, but that's a tweak, not a correction. What I appreciated most was the humility of the execution: no unnecessary garnishes, no gimmicks trying to outshine the basics, just clear attention to temperature, timing, and texture. It's the kind of plate that makes you relax into the meal and then quietly judge the rest of the menu by whether the kitchen can keep this level of craft -- honest, balanced, and quietly excellent in a way that actually honors the technique behind it. If I'm looking for Thai in New Hampshire I would definitely come back here. They had a large menu of items that all looked really good!

The Porchetta heavily relied on the pork and the sear, seasoning and proper cooking of the meat. It pulled apart easily, had a nice thin crust on it and was plenty tender while also juicy. The arugula was a good balance and helped keep the cheese in place. The bread was perfectly toasted and crusty but absolutely fresh like a good hoagie should be. The Cubano had seasonings ON the panini pressed bread that were on point with the rest of the flavor profile of the sandwich. The balance between the mustard, pickles, and seasoned bread accentuated the meat instead of covering it up. Everything tasted and felt incredibly fresh and we look forward to our next stop here when we are in town.

The tortilla chips stale (new ones cooked for us), Falafel wrap stale and falafel balls hard. Requested crispy fries, they were limp. Our bill for 3 meals, 1 app and 4 ice teas was $93. Before tipping. None of us realized or were reminded that french fries were additional 6.50 to our sandwiches. Many restaurants have sandwiches which come with fries so we unfortunately presumed this when asked what side we wanted. Ice teas were $4 each-no free refills which also seemed high. Overall not a great experience.

I ordered a dinner plate with honey chicken, beef teriyaki sticks, boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice. To start the pork fried rice was hard and truly felt as though it has been sitting out for 3 days. The plate came with two beef teriyaki sticks and they were by far the smallest beef sticks I've ever got from any Chinese restaurant. The spare ribs were edible however not a large portion by any means. The honey chicken... it could be just me but I've never had anything like this before. It tasted like sugar granules in an overbearing sweet sauce covering undercooked chicken fingers. Truly the worst item I've ever received from any Chinese place before and that is saying a lot. I also ordered some scallion pancakes and they were so hard to bite down it felt like i was going to break a tooth. Everything i ordered wasn't fresh at all! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Asian Wok Express!!! If you're in the hampton seabrook area i would recommend wok the wok on hampton beach!
