I had been going here up until 2023, and the people who run it changed. I have been twice lately and the lady who takes your order has screwed it up two times and I am sorry to say - food quality has gone down hill. I will NOT be going again. I am done. Gave them two chances. The group of people who ran it back in 2023 were much better. Too bad really. read more

Great service, good food, good people. All around a great place to get a bite to eat.

Mass confusion. No rhyme or reason to ordering or picking up. Knew it would busy but this is ridiculous. Got my food at 8:30, 1 item, tastes like mush. I've learned my lesson. Don't order Chinese on New Year's. Absolute chaos. read more

I felt like the pork fried rice was bland. It was slightly smoked, almost Polynesian style which I like, but had minimal flavor. The pork egg rolls had more cabbage than anything and the spare ribs were dry. The steamed dumplings have a thick coating which I hate but the filling is good. I order the garlic chicken which was decent, I asked for extra spicy and it was relatively good. read more

not sure why this place is 3 stars rating but the service was quick and the lady at was very sweet. in addition to that the food was delightful. we ordered the wings beef and shrimp lomain. the atmosphere of the restaurant was small and calm. very nice to eat at i highly recommend read more

Decent place for Chinese food, take out or eat in at reasonable prices. I've gotten takeout from Peking Chinese Restaurant a few times since they offer 27 Luncheon Specials ($5.50-$5.70) and 25 Dinner Combinations ($7.55-$7.95). They also serve Chef Specials such as Sesame Beef, Pan Fried Noodles, Crispy Aromatic Shrimp and others ($9.50-$12.50). The General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Fingers, and the Shrimp Lo Mein are decent. While I wait for my food, there are free local tourist newspapers to read and coin candy dispensers near the counter, a great energy pick me up after a quick jog. I did not see the little guy on the last visit. read more

Food was terrible extremely disappointed. Wasted $42 on crap. I'm from New England and always rave about Chinese food up here and this was gross. Chicken fingers were nasty.. the spear ribs were blah and took one bite of beef teriyaki and threw it away.Pretty sad that I've had better in Florida and every one knows Florida's Chinese food is gross. read more

Great spot for local takeout food. The dishes are always tasty and not greasy- the moo shu dishes there are the best!

Food was excellent and cooked to order at lunchtime. I got beef w/broccoli and crab rangoon. But cooked perfectly and tasted great. If there is better Chinese food in the area, I would love to know where it is! read more

General Tso's combo plate Very Good. I will definitely get this again. Usually I purchase the Won Ton soup and chicken fingers. Both are very good also. read more

Peking Chinese Restaurant - This is my "orange chicken" - Chinese Near Me - Hampton, New Hampshire

It's not fancy or air conditioned. Just a few tables, a counter, and a cooler of soda and water. Very clean. It's nothing special, but not bad for a quick bite. The portions are generous and you can't beat the lunch specials. You get an entree, rice, and choice of egg roll, soup, or crab rangoon. I ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon, and rice. I also ordered the Shanghai Spring Rolls. The Lo Mein was pretty good, rice is rice, the crab rangoon wasn't very good. The Shanghai Spring Rolls were fantastic. Everything was hot and served straight from the kitchen. Service was friendly. No complaints. It's not a 4 or 5 star place, but it's definitely not a 1 or 2. read more

Chicken fingers were a little rubbery. Bland won ton soup. The girl at the counter was very nice. Good customer service. Great prices. Still love my favorite place Saigon Tokyo in Dover NH read more

I just got food poisoning from this place tonight. Extremely disappointed. The quality of the food has slowly gone down hill over the past few years. Tonight puts the icing on the cake.. I will not order from this place ever again...if you do, I suggest you stay away from anything with shrimp in it. I wish i was given the same advice. read more

Fantastic carry out at great prices. I had the best egg foo young I've had in a while and they were happy to make the entree for my guest to order (milder than usual). read more

Food was excellent, my son said best Chinese food he's had in a long time. Will definitely order again.

Get food at a small Chinese takeout for lunch today the place wasn't that clean but the prices were reasonable I ordered a lunch special to go I went home ate it and I didn't feel that it was very good quality besides the place being dirty the food looked old and reheated I wouldn't recommend to go back again read more

Tried this place half dozen or so times, then I found broken glass on my take out. I'm positive it was an honest mistake, however unforgivable! I wasn't impressed enough with the food to risk trying it again. read more

Was excited to get Chinese food delivered to our hotel on beach vacation. Sadly the food was not good. The beef teriyaki seemed fatty and couldn't eat it. The boneless sparerib seemed warmed up or overcooked. The yellow spicy curry shrimp chicken noodle was too spicy and shrimp not fresh, seemed like they took frozen shrimp and sautéed it in, yuk! I was so disappointed and my son said the white rice was not good. We spent $48 plus tip and are throwing it out. read more

I paid $17.71 at this restaurant I ordered a combination plate pork fried rice chicken wings and spare ribs I ordered scallion pancakes and two drinks I was eating in not taking the food home a lady walked up to me and hand me a tray good food on I look down and saw only one scoop of rice with no pork in it the chicken wings what tiny and still had hair sticking up from the wings the spare ribs was smaller than my pinky the pancake scallions where dry and cold I complained about the food but nobody did nothing while I was there a gentleman came in whatever he ordered was $9 he was taken back by how small it was he said he was going to pay with a credit card he gave me the credit card but then decided to pay for it with cash but the lady already swiped the card and charge him he then told her to void the credit card he was going to pay cash he said he wanted to get a receipt for the void instead she gave him a receipt for what he paid in cash the gentleman was frustrated and told her I want the receipt for the void of the credit card she gave it to him I guess he will never come back I wouldn't advise anyone to eat here I wish I read the reviews on Yelp before I came I'll never come back some people got sick food poisoning read more

See all

Had takeout the other night and the food was awful. No taste

After I eat the food got real sick throwing up all night and had diarrhea for two days straight

Have been going to this restaurant for several years and owners. We always order takeout and mostly the same items. The current owners have managed to improve the quality of the food significantly. Everything we ordered tasted very fresh and not greasy, salty or over cooked. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. We will definitely be eating more Chinese from the Peking. read more

Seems to be the best Chinese food in Hampton. Quality food cooked to order customer service is excellent. Place is a little outdated with the decor but don't let that fool you. General Tsau just the right spice and the pepper beef was tender and peppers and onions crisp. Safest Chinese place in town read more

Came here during winter and there was no heat... freezing inside. Appearance is not cluttered, but outdated. Bathroom is relatively clean but also there are stains on the walls and floors. Kitchen looks clean and organized. The girl taking my order coughed into her hands a few times, which put my appetite on hold. She seemed friendly enough. There is a little kid running around, which is cute, but it just seemed like the wrong place for a kid to be playing. Food is mediocre. read more

AWFUL food. Worst chinese food I have ever put into my mouth, I ordered steamed broccoli and chicken and threw most of it away. My fiance got beef teriyaki and pork fried rice, both had NO flavor and made him sick. The new management has really made this place go downhill. this is my first time posting on Yelp, I was so disgusted with my order that I had to post. Spend your money elsewhere! read more

Not good. Just.dont.do.it! I had lunch special with chicken terryaki.. the chicken was such a weird texture that it actually creeped me out to even eat it. The crab rangoon and chicken fingers just have a really weird taste to them. The pork fried rice was more like rice with 3 specs of pork & and hardly any vegetables. I understand its lunch and its cheaper but I rather get charged more and have quality food then charged less and have it not taste good. read more

Their dinner specials are okay. They are not bad, but they are not blow your mind either. They are super cheap though and their dumplings are TO DIE FOR! I go there just for their dumplings sometimes! read more

I went for lunch, so this review is strictly based on that. I got the lunch combination plate of kung pao chicken with chicken fingers and fried rice. I wanted tap water, but they would not give that to me, I had to buy a 16 oz plastic bottle from an assortment of Coke products, $2. The lunch plate was $5.99, which is what earned them the star, at least it was cheap. I'll start with the friend rice, it had very little flavor, and even looked it - it was closer in color to white than the darker brown color of typical fried rice and showed no evidence of anything other than rice and coloring in it. The chicken fingers were the smallest and had the least chicken I have ever experienced. The chicken looked like it was the size of a shoe string french fry. With the batter one finger was a size between my pinkie finger and ring finger in length and width. These were by far the smallest chicken fingers I have ever seen. Frankly, there was so little chicken it was hard to tell if the taste was okay. Finally, the kung pao: the entire dish was not very spicy and had little other flavor. The sauce was very bland and the mixture was completely unbalanced and unusual. Close to half of the dish was celery. There was very very little carrot and and okay amount of peanuts and chicken - lots and lots of celery. And I like celery. I will not go back and will not recommend this to anyone. Maybe I could have ordered something else and the review would have been different. Sorry Peking Chinese Restaurant, your food was by far the worst Chinese of any style that I have ever had. read more
