    S14. Alaskan Roll (2 rolls)
    Ashley J.

I ordered BOGO Alaskan Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll. Sushi tasted really fresh and looked amazing! Came with two small containers of spicy mayo, which also tasted great. I previously have ordered the New Orleans Roll which I didn't really like--you can't taste the freshness of the fish, cucumber, etc. in the more complex rolls, because they're covered in lots of spicy mayo or eel sauce, so they feel pretty greasy. Would definitely recommend the basic rolls like salmon avocado, tuna, etc.! I ordered delivery with Uber Eats and it came super quick (30 mins when expected was 50-60 mins)! On UE, Jinhui also often has BOGO deals for appetizers and certain rolls, and even without discounts, the sushi is great for the price!

    K5. General Gau's Chicken

Decided to try a different Chinese restaurant than where we usually go. We weren't super impressed. We ordered crab Rangoons, 2 special rolls of sushi, general gau's chicken. Total: $58. The crab Rangoons were mediocre; not much filling and a little over fried. The sushi tasted great, but seemed to be an oddly warm temperature which was a little unnerving. The chicken was most disappointing, it lacked flavor and was a bit dry. The girl at the counter was kind, and she gave me a fruit tea with my order which was really delicious!

Gave me a complimentary drink after my order!! Also gave incredibly fast service (literally ~5 minutes).

I ordered crab rangoon, and usually when I order this, restaurants will give ~6 crab rangoon. This restaurant dishes out 10 per order! And, it was 100 degrees out today, and right when I walked in I was greeted with fast and positive customer service, and was given a complimentary drink!! Also, I ordered and they got my order out to me in about 5 minutes, despite there being other customers there. Loved this place and will be going back. Highly recommend and thanks so much!

Great sushi and they have bubble tea! Hard to find near here. It's a takeout place and everything is made to order.

The restaurant itself is stylish and intimate. The space boasts eye catching decor from neon signs and a mahjong tile doorway to big murals and light fixtures in the form of umbrellas and lanterns. The menu is printed to look and feel like a Hong Kong Hollywood newspaper which I also thought was really cool. The menu here is smaller and more focused than the one at the Kowloon, but I did see that it still offers a handful of the Kowloon's signature dishes. In the case of this restaurant, I definitely feel that the limited menu is essential to producing higher quality dishes. We shared a scorpion bowl cocktail for two, which was served in a cute beckoning cat drinking vessel. For food we got the scallion pancake, the General Gau's chicken and the Brussels sprouts. The food came out about ten minutes after we ordered which initially made me a little bit nervous about the food quality, but once we dug in we could tell that the food was quite fresh. The scallion pancake was nice and crispy on the outside, a little bit chewy on the inside and was served with a ginger sauce for dipping. The Brussels sprouts were prepared Kung Pao style with peanuts and a touch of chili pepper. The General Gau's chicken was fried well, coated in a delightfully sweet and spicy sauce and topped with crispy fried rice noodles. We are just about every morsel on the plates. We knew had to save a little room for dessert here when we saw that they serve a giant chocolate dipped fortune cookie that they smash apart with a mallet right at the table. Served alongside some ice cream, the giant fortune cookie is a super sweet and fun way to finish your time here. Additionally, it came as a pleasant surprise when our check came and it was not quite as high as we were anticipating, especially when you consider that the restaurant is housed inside of a casino. All in all, 9 Dragons left us with a great first impression. A great addition to the Seacoast.

Slightly above average. -- Egg Roll (on a lunch combo): Thought I'd try it again to see if they changed the recipe. Alas, still all-white with mostly cabbage and little crumbles of gray pork. The outer shell wasn't as dazzling as the first time. Below average. -- BBQ Ribs: Served very hot, very thoroughly glazed to cover even the cross sections, with very light char, and fairly fresh. Decent enough flavor and solid execution overall, good enough for above average but no threat for elite. -- Pork Fried Rice: Tried on different visits as both as a full order and on a combo, this had VERY fresh pork nuggetry and all the right additions (egg, onion, bean sprouts, scallion). Freshness and moistness of the grains were both superb. Flavor didn't hit as much as I seek, but the other high marks mitigated that. A little above average.   -- Egg Foo Yong: Large thick mounds and a dark, thin sauce. Decent flavor. Slightly above average. -- General Tso's Chicken (on a lunch combo): Very generous portion, surprisingly long lasting crunch, and more surprising heat to go along with the sweet. Great meat-to-batter ratio; not-so-great moistness, but good enough. Overall, well above average and the most flavor-packed dish I've had there. Near-elite. Family's has a strong fandom and also a strong contingent that boycott the place, mostly because of that egg roll, but sheesh: there are other appetizers to have. I still think they're a bit overrated by their fans and overmaligned by their haters, but unquestionably above average, easily earning a 4 to separate them from the pack. I do like the vibe there a lot. They are a spotless, friendly, well-oiled machine, and that counts for something.

We probably order from here once every couple of months, and it has consistently been a good option for a quick lunch or dinner. For me, this is definitely a takeout spot and not a dine in. The restaurant is always clean, the people are friendly, and the food is consistently good. But I'm not here for the ambiance I'm here for consistently good takeout. Over the years we've tried quite a few things on the menu and really like the beef chow fun, hot & sour and wonton soup, dumplings, and beef with pea pods. We haven't tried the Thai food there so I can comment on that part of the menu. Tonight we kept it simple with wonton soup for Cheryl, hot & sour soup for me, and an order of moo shu chicken to share. Everything hit the spot. China Wok may not be the place I'd drive a long distance to when I'm searching for extraordinary Chinese food but American style Chinese food isn't my go-to. But that really isn't what I'm looking for when I come here. It's a clean, friendly, dependable neighborhood restaurant serving good Chinese food at a reasonable price, and sometimes that's exactly what you want. Theee stars from me, and I'll certainly keep coming back for that quick fix
