First of all the lobby reeks of cigarette smoke from the restaurants bar patrons. Secondly, they should be ashamed of their bathrooms, very obviously not cleaned in a week or more. Broken tile, soap scum, filthy urinals, ughhh! Walking across the stained and gross carpet almost made me leave before we sat down. No way was I going to order sushi here! Checkout says, $16.42 with the added "service fee" So, I call so I don't get charged for the service fee. Go to pick my order up, I'm charged $17.90. They've charged me $3.00 for green beans. New and improved. I think they are the best Chinese food in the area. The restaurant side is very cozy and they have a few TV screens with games on. I love the Yuen Yang Beef!! I need to order it every time. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. The sushi chef has created some interesting roles, some are torched which I love. Service is always perfect. Ivy is the boss and she is delightful. Look out for Patty, she is super-friendly and can recommend some unique dishes. They are very efficient with takeout. read more

The food is tasty and takeout quick. The restaurant is on one side and the bar on the other side of the entrance which contains the employee who hands out the takeout orders. If you go after 5 PM there often are very drunk (or otherwise out of it) patrons from the bar out front smoking cigarettes and staring at you as you walk in. This very last visit when exiting with my order 2 of them were loudly discussing "when the guy was bringing the coke ". Not a pleasing atmosphere. Makes me wonder if these drunks are driving home. This place was in court for serving underage drivers who later got into an accident a few years ago. They changed the name of the place but it's still a problem that makes me not go there after this last visit. Pine Garden down the road is more wholesome. Decided to go for lunch and the waitress was less than desirable with rudeness! We ordered 2 lunch plates with a side of crab Rangoon . Lunch was brought out and it was NOT what we ordered and the Rangoon's were missing!! I just shook my head in disbelief and ate lunch after they fixed the order. I asked for the check and 2 boxes. When I filled out the receipt I left it on the far end of the table while finishing our time there for her to crawl across the table for the receipt when she had the NERVE to ask about a "tip"! This review is only for Chinese menu takeout. It's about par for Chinese food in the area which is just meh. No real standouts. Most of the food we ordered was rather on the bland side but at least it wasn't greasy. Pine Garden has better flavors overall but they are inconsistent and can be overly oily at times. Oddly, the General Tso's Chicken was by far the spiciest I've had. Not that it had a lot of flavor either, just spice. Was hoping for a 4 star experience as the reviews imply (which would imply a marginal improvement over Pine Garden's 3.5 rating). However, I would give the Garden the edge here. It's good to see the emergence of other Asian restaurants in the area (Thai, noodles, etc.) that are really bringing the quality. We are transplants from NY who love it here but have been long bereft at not finding much delicious Asian food, particularly Chinese food, in the area. We were delighted to find an Asian restaurant not far away that is on par with our food memories. Red Mango has a well thought out and full menu of both Japanese and Chinese items, as well as some Thai noodles. We ordered cold sesame noodle as an appetizer which is one of our favs that you can't get many places here. It was a treat, not dry and tasteless, with delicious, nutty sauce, with hot oil on the side to make it perfect. I also has tamago sushi as an appetizer, which is egg custard on rice. My husband has the sushi deluxe which was very fresh and beautifully presented. I had Mermaid Shrimp, which was on a bed of veggies in a light General Gao's sauce. The shrimp was butterflied and crispy but not battered. It was not too sweet and really delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant is a good size, you don't feel crowded. With a beer and a sake, our abundant meal for two came to $80 before tip. We will be back! read more

Horrible first experience and will not be back. I placed a pick up order and the individual who took my order was kind and repeated the order back to me- it was correct. I ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner and subbed fried rice for the white rice. I felt the order was awfully over priced when I picked up but paid what it was. I come home to find that I was Charged for a side of fried rice. My teriyaki chicken was a boiled piece of chicken with teriyaki sauce on the side, with some soup vegetables on the bottom. It was so horrible. I couldn't eat it and tossed it. My dinner was supposed to come with a side salad and I did not receive that. The fried rice wasn't bad but aside for that everything else was horrible and over priced. First and last time! read more

We ordered takeout from Red Mango, because our preferred location was expectedly close. The food was basic belly food with very little flavor. The order was missing two items, which I didn't check at time of pickup... never had to at other restaurants. Staff was gracious and refunded my card the missing items. I love Red Mango! The staff is always very friendly and they work well together. I was just in a few days ago and I noticed that they now have a new menu with some interesting items on it. They are venturing in on spicy wings. They also added some new rolls. The new manager is really doing everything she can to make the customer experience pleasurable. I am disappointed in the one-star review as this person is not aware that some dishes are meant to be served cold. Please ignore him!
