Me and my basil leaf.
J Paul G.

Shhhhh......they don't know what they have in town. From Hawaii to Manhattan I haven't eaten better Thai!!! One menu item in particular to judge a Thai place is the Larb Nua. If they have it try. It varies from place to place and this place has the absolute best I've ever had. Tom Yum gai, more please!!!! The yellow curry is so good I asked for and paid for more to go!! Lunch tomorrow and jealous employees smelling it, wanting it, craving it. Staff at the Leaf, friendly as can be. Quick and attentive. So as I said at the beginning......shhhh the town doesn't know what they. Keep it between us.

The curry was very well spiced, not over spicy but lots of flavor. The duck was crispy and juicy. Super nice service! Ambiance was chill (family restaurant).

Stumbled across this place when we were taking a ride. Food was delicious. Servings were big. Waitstaff was very attentive. 2 appetizers & 3 meals - less than $60 We will definitely be back

Orange Chicken

The best Thai place I've ever been. Food came out fast, served w a great amount, and mostly I could taste the freshnesss of the food. I went in with 4 of my friends so 5 people, and they all agreed that it was thier best Thai food. But the seating was a really bit tight. The server was very kind and thoughtful. Would def go back to try thier pho next time!

Tom Kai Gai soup and dumplings
Frank P.

After a long cold rainy day, the Tom Kha Gai soup and some steam dumplings were the perfect combination to warm me up. I enjoyed my bowl and dumplings. Sai (the owner/manager) was as animated as ever and a delightful and very gracious host. I love the food and company at Basil Leaf...I highly recommend it!!!

She even told us that some decors are really from Thailand. Food was delicious. Ha kao (steamed shrimp dumplings) were yummy! Highly recommend this authentic Thai restaurant for their excellent food, service and ambiance.

I think it's safe to say that this is officially our favorite spot for Thai food…read more We've been here a handful of times now, basically enough times to not only find our favorite dishes here but to also look forward to getting said dishes because they are consistently good every single time. For an app we always end up getting the spicy cashews. Simple yet delicious, the perfect little bite to wet your palate and start off your meal. Boyfriend's go to dish here is the red curry soup with tofu. Definitely spicy from the red curry yet a little bit sweet and creamy from the coconut and chock full of veggies. Always a great option especially on a cold day. I've found that my favorite thing to get here is the beef khao soi curry noodles. I've had this dish a handful of times now and it has been consistently good every single time I've had it. The coconut curry sauce is delightfully spicy, the pickled mustard greens add a nice tangy touch and the braised beef is ample and perfectly fall apart tender each time with hardly an ounce of fat on any given morsel of meat. This is really just a great spot for modern Thai cuisine that the Seacoast is fortunate to have.

We all agreed on Thai food, and admittedly I wasn't expecting amazing Thai food in rural New Hampshire. Wow was I wrong! The place itself is very unassuming...little shop, a slightly run down looking building that could use a little freshening up on the outside. The online ordering process was super easy, pay online, and pick up. My order was ready when we arrived, and pick up was super quick. The food was outstanding! The steamed buns were some of the best I've ever had anywhere. The sweet braised pork inside was incredible and the crunchy veggies and herbs, and soft steamed bun were perfection. The chicken satay was perfectly seasoned, and the peanut sauce it came with was light and saucy and super flavorful. We got the pad Thai with chicken. It was saucy (not dry at all like it is in many places), fresh, and perfect amount of noodle/egg/sprout/chicken ratio. The sauce was so flavorful and tangy. Amazing! We also got the yellow curry with chicken. Again, amazing sauce, perfectly cooked veggies and chicken. A good size portion of rice with it. Very very good curry. The menu has lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. I'm a big fan of Thai food, and have had it all over the country, in dozens of Thai restaurants. This place has outstanding Thai food!

The interior is quite spacious with plenty of sunlight, and even when we left it wasn't very busy for a Sunday around lunchtime. I ordered drunken noodles with steamed tofu and left pleased. The server didn't ask me for spice level, but it definitely had a kick to it, which I appreciated. The duck noodle soup sounded like it'd be a great, unique dish - but the duck is probably best left to dry noodle dishes, where it can remain crispy. In the soup, the duck lost its texture and flavor. The other classics that the group ordered (deluxe pad thai, chicken pad see ew) were all satisfactory.

I ordered the Crispy Duck Massaman Curry (gluten-free) with potatoes, carrots, onions, and peanuts. The portion size was excellent and the flavors were tangy and comforting, though I wish the peanut flavor was a bit stronger. I ordered level 4 spice and should have gone with a 5. If you like heat, I recommend at least a level 5. I am very particular about duck since it is easy to dry out, but this was crispy yet still moist, which impressed me. It was a bit pricey at $27.95, but understandable for duck. The waitress was delightful and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I will definitely return.

We all gos our drinks and placed our orders in and my daughter and mother in law got their food. Papaya salad and chicken skin. The chicken skin was amazing especially with the sauce. Really enjoyed the sticky rice which looks hard but isn't. I ordered the Pad Kra Pao with pork but Pho came in and I told them we didn't ordered that. Then an order of crab Rangoons came which we didn't order and we list let it sit on our table and about 10 min went by and we decided to eat it since I was getting hungry. I sat there for about an hour waiting for my food then the owner came out to show me what she wrote down and we crossed everything off that came then she said it would be coming out. Another 20 min pass and they deliver my food which was wrong again lol... I laughed it off because I know they're trying but I didn't send it back since I was getting hangry. All the food was great, they just need to get a better system from taking orders and getting those orders to the chef and brining the items to the correct table. To top it off, she gave us our recipe and that was all wrong as well. Like I said the food is amazing just getting what you ordered was the hard part. I hope to give this place a try but not sure yet.
