Visiting Derry expectations were low for Thai joint in a strip mall. However! We ordered take out and were blown away by how great it was. It was somewhat busy but food came quite promptly. We ordered a poke bowl with tuna and salmon all the ingredients were super fresh and it was quite delicious. Also got Thai fried rice vegetables were cooked to perfection and the crispy chicken topper was great as well. The young woman that retrieved my order could not have been sweeter and professional. Went in last night for the first time and cannot wait to go back! We ordered the Blue Manbo Combo appetizer plate. Everything was super crispy and the dipping sauces were tasty. Nothing was greasy or stale and it was hard to pick a favorite from the assortment. For our entrees we ordered Pad Thai with chicken and veggies and the Blue Mango Chicken. Both were incredible. They were served hot and the frshness was undeniable. The little bit of leaftover we went home with didn't last long; it was the perfect midnight snack. The service was so kind and attentive. The chicken larb and papaya salad were good, but nothing mind blowing. I definitely recommend the soft shell crab and homestyle duck, especially if you want to try something different. Both sauces were delicious. The duck was soft, and had a crispy skin. Mango with sticky rice was great and always the best move for dessert. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean. The website has online ordering. You can adjust the spicy level, but I definitely need something spicier than their current spicy level. read more

We have been going to Blue Mango! The food is amazing, fresh and full of flavor! They have a full bar! The Mai Tais are good. Wish they had a bar to sit and have a cocktail while waiting for your takeout. We usually stand up leaving against the front counter. Staff are very friendly. We have not eaten there as of yet we always to take out. The place is painted bright yellow and they need to dim the lights a little bit for more ambiance! It's kinda bright. That should not stop anyone from going there. I give it a 10 out of 10!!! read more

Blue mango is some of the best Thai food I've had! I had eaten plenty of times at the siblings location, and when I found out blue mango was opening I was excited and anticipating the second it opened its doors! Opening day I ordered food for my whole family. We've been there a bunch of times, including for my middle child's 8th birthday and not only did we get complementary fried ice cream for him but for all 3 kids! I also order take out often. It is super delicious, always quickly prepared, and worth every penny! Eating in the restaurant is spectacular because no matter how busy or not the service is always incredible, and the colors are very cheerful. I have not tried the sushi but hoping to some weekend. I recommend you go if you want to enjoy some great food read more

The staff was quick, friendly and attentive. The food AND drinks are priced well, and the quality for the price is phenomenal honestly. We had the golden triangles (not much meat but it was full of flavor so it made up for it), tom yum, and some of the best chicken satay Ive had in a long time. I always love coming here. Their rice soup is excellent (I always get it with tofu, but you can have it with chicken and other meats as well). My husband really loves getting the mango curry dish, it has chicken, shrimp and it is his go to dish. I've gotten a few different things and each time it is just delicious food. I do enjoy their Brown Sugar Boba tea as well. read more

Papaya Salad was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The Chicken Satay was tender, well-seasoned, and came with the most delicious dipping sauces. Chicken Extreme was a huge mound of crispy chicken blended with vegetables and cashews in a wonderful, flavorful sauce. The crispy shell it was served in was light and flaky. Blue Mango opened at Hood Commons in Derry, next to Wrap City. This casual Thai restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, eat-in or takeout. The dining room with bright yellow painted walls offers table seating for 45-50 people. I stopped in here for takeout on opening day. I ordered a Shrimp Tom Yum Soup ($4.95 plus tax) and the Tofu Green Curry ($12.95 plus tax) served with jasmine rice. My food was packed, bagged and ready in about 12 minutes. The Tofu Green Curry ($12.95 plus tax) was prepared mild spicy to them during my order, which they obliged. The Green Curry dish had a mix of soft tofu pieces, bamboo shoots, fresh vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, red pepper, green string beans) in a mild spicy coconut milk sauce. The soft jasmine rice was packed in a separate takeout box. The Tom Yum Soup was cooked in a spicy broth with sliced mushrooms, cilantro, scallions and 2 firm shrimp with tails attached.  What I ordered was very well prepared and spicy tasting. Blue Mango in Derry will now be on my regular rotation for Thai cuisine. read more

Horrible experience. My wife is Vietnamese. Her birthday we went here for a to go dish. She ordered a shrimp noodle dish. We got to the car and they put chicken instead. When she went back in they took the same wrong dish and tossed half a dozen cold shrimp on top of chicken. My wife said the rice noodles had a sour taste to them. She cooks with same rice noodles and knows what they should be like. Just an overall bad experience. Ruined her dinner. Not sure that we will ever go back. There are to many good Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. Stopped to try a new spot. read more

Went there yesterday and got one dish to split mainly because their prices are high. Food was OK ..not much flavor and not very much quantity at all. I asked for some ginger sauce and waitress seemed very strained to give me an answer. Finally she said we will have to charge you. All other asian places give it for free. Also got no tea. So if you don't mind paying high prices for small amounts and being charged for a bit of sauce with no tea.Then be all means give them a try. Also the lighting there is very intense. So if you also don't mind trying to enjoy your small amount of food under a flood light..maybe this place is for you...lol Not for me. Hopefully they read this and change a few things otherwise I don't see them getting much return business. read more
