This is my second review. Thai Chili has become a regular spot to stop for lunch or dinner. It is delicious, every single time! The food is always fresh and comes out steaming hot. There are many options to choose from. Everyone who works here is incredibly sweet and service is always fast. I love how clean this establishment is and it's always very comfortable inside, always have a spot to sit and never very loud. Ordered a crispy pad thai with beef over $21 through GrubHub this evening. And shrimp tempura shrimp when I opened the soup base part of the pad thai which I'm calling it soup base part because it was all liquid beef and everything else that goes into the pad thai it smelled like wet dog. I've had this dish multiple times at several restaurants and also all the other pad ties I have never had a dish smell this bad. It just went through the whole house the only thing I can think of is the beef is rancid. How are they not noticing this when they're transferring it into the bowl. It is very bad it's not the fish oil it's not the fish paste it's the beef in the pad Thai I hope nobody gets food poisoning this evening. It'll be hard to do because it's so bad smelling you can't even get it to your mouth without gagging. Pretty gross I won't be ordering from this restaurant again read more

So this place is in a strip mall on Rt 28 in Salem, kind of easy to miss. Been there for a while, and I've been going off and on for years. It used to be really good and co-workers and I would for lunch on Friday pretty regularly. But then the food quality started declining and we stopped going for a while. My wife and I decided to stop in there while we were up in Salem one evening to get dinner after checking out the latest reviews and I am glad we did. Under new ownership now, the place has really stepped up it's game. We got Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, some fresh rolls and some Massaman Curry. Food was excellent, service was great, fast and friendly. Low key decor, but welcoming, very clean dining area. The bathroom was very clean as well. Overall I'd say this is in the top tier of Thai restaurants in the Lowell/Lawrence/Salem area. I'm glad we decided to give it another chance, cause it was an excellent experience all around. We'll be back for sure. read more

The Duck is excellent! I had the crispy duck Penang curry. The menu seems larger than other Thai restaurants in the area. Many traditional items with several house spicalties as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a strip mall location with plenty of parking and tables for dinning in. It looks like they also served hard liquor with a four seat bar area. read more

This restaurant is amazing! All of the food is so delicious with such a wide variety. I have gotten/tried the fried calamari, the pad Thai, the pad see ew, a soup/Ramen, and the mango sticky rice. Not only was all of this so good, but the customer service is wonderful. All of the staff is so kind and patient with customers as well as very helpful and informative. The good is we got seated quickly and serviced right away the food was good not great it matched the price they charge the bad is I asked for a cup of coffee and the waitress wasn't sure what they had but said she could make a fresh pot if needed well she bought me over a cup of very dark coffee so I tried adding three cream and two sugar and it was still in not drinkable so just pushed it aside with my spoon in it when she came to bring the check I politely told her about the coffee being bad and she made no offer to take it of the bill just said she better throw that pot out normally I'm a good tipper when we go out but this time not so much probably won't be coming back anytime soon read more

When Thai Chili opened, it was from the same owners as Chao Praya River, and same menu. It eventually changed hands, and the food got better and better, as they customized the old menu to feature new items. Less than a year ago, they upgraded the decor, and menu. It looks like the old chow prayer is gone. And its place, is a much nicer menu, with lots of appetizers, Ramen, soup, and a good selection of Thai entrées. The wait staff and owner are very nice people, they tend to remember your name, and the atmosphere is just charming. The Ramen noodle soup is fantastic and this is the first place to regularly serve Ramen soup in Salem. The appetizer selections are numerous, and are delicious. My wife and I tend to go here every couple of weeks, and the food is quite enjoyable. Fully recommended! read more

I can't believe this restaurant doesn't have five star reviews. The best fresh rolls I've ever had, and I've had them in almost every major city in the US. They have two versions, both not fried, FRESH. And the peanut sauce, hold onto your seat honey! No but seriously, their vegetables are Always cooked to perfection with a slight crunch, never soggy. I got the chicken pad prik king, really great with plenty of fresh veggies mixed in. The drunken noodles are excellent. And the calamari appetizer is sooo good! I just got the chicken soup today, (such a great meal in cold and flu season) and you can choose broth, noodles and mix ins. They really make amazing, deep broths.
