Man this place was bad. Given the area I had low expectations and this was even worse than I could've imagined. The Tteokbokki was hands-down, the saltiest thing I've ever ordered at a restaurant in my entire life. Flavor profile was 100% off the sauce genuinely tasted like Play-Doh. The teriyaki chicken bowl wasn't much better whatever sauces y'all are using are horrendously bad. More salt doesn't equate the more flavor. Hope this helps. read more

I found this place through Yelp and decided to come here for lunch after seeing the photos of the ramen. It's relatively small (only about ten seats) and at the time, only two people were working. It took a little bit for the food to come out (my dad was able to go order a coffee at Coffee Break Cafe next door and bring it back before our orders came out) but the portions were perfect for our lunch and my dad really enjoyed his! The noodles are dropped off on the bar for you to pick up and you grab your own chopsticks as well. We ordered the Chili Ramen (tonkotsu with chili oil on top) and the Shoyu Ramen, both with pork as the protein. The cook on the egg was great (nice and gooey in the center and the white was nice and soft) but it was a little cold and lacked flavor (could've been marinated for longer?). The pork was a nice cut of meat but despite being blowtorched it was a little chewy and lacked a bit of flavor also. The lack of marination on these toppings was helped by the fact that the broth was great and flavorful and if you ate them with the broth and noodles, it was satisfying! I think the broth was the best part; I tried both of them and enjoyed drinking the broth by itself even without eating the noodles with it. Overall, I thought the ramen was OK (the soup was the best part!) but for the price and portion I think this is a nice place to stop by for lunch! Firstly, I would like to apologize that I was not able to take a picture of the ramen bowl before devouring it. I was hungry and the bowl was amazing. The pork was charred just right, the noodles had the perfect consistency, the eggs were soaked in soy sauce like I hoped and the broth was chef's kiss. The atmosphere reminded me of all the hole in the wall ramen places I sat in when I lived in Japan. This was a great experience and I will be back to try all the other bowls they offer. My husband and I went here this afternoon. He got the chili ramen and I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and we shared tteokbokki. Omg ALL of it was so delicious, so comforting. The flavors were on point and complex and the ambience was so relaxed and chill with good music and cozy little seats but the counter. We will absolutely go again and again! Best food option on Hampton Beach! Something different for the area. The Classic Tonkotsu Ramen had a couple different meat options so I went with the chicken. All aspects of the ramen were great, broth was rich and flavorful, noodles had a chewy texture and chicken was well seasoned and soft. Tteok-bokki rice cakes were chewy and gochujang sauce had a hint of sweetness but it didn't take away from the spiciness. My overall experience was enjoyable. Chef, Marquel, was a pleasure to meet. It's like they went to every ramen shop in New England, identified what those shops were doing wrong, and did the opposite.
