I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon Bento for $24.99. Not terrible, the slightly fishy salmon aside, most of it was good. Nothing was high quality but the price/value was outrageous. $24.99 + tax and the prompt for a 20% tip for takeout, OMG you would be $30 for a tiny piece of salmon and some skimpy sides. My sushi side didn't come with soy sauce or wasabi. The tables and dine-in area look like it hasn't been completed and never will. read more

Ordered a poke bowl and ramen online and didn't realize that it was close to their closing time! The order came through and when we picked it up, the restaurant was indeed closed, so my hubby went through the back door which was open and went through the kitchen. Burmese food is likely the top of the food chain for Asian food. It is at a level of complexity and flavors that surpasses any other Asian food I have eaten. I lived in Asia for 4 years, but never had occasion to travel to Burma (Myanmar). It's a good thing. I might have never returned to the U.S. If you are a foodie and you love flavor, you can't go wrong with their PokeBowl with Salmon. I wasn't sure I wanted the coconut rice. Stupid me. It adds flavor to each bite. The owners are nice. The restaurant itself is small and simple. They offered my friend and I a nice hot Jasmine tea (I believe it was because it took me back to my years in Asia). I speak a lot of languages, but Burmese, like the people are quite different with sounds I have never heard uttered before. Whenever I traveled to California, in the Bay Area, I always made it a point to go to a Burmese restaurant. We just don't have them in New England. I do not know if they would call this a Burmese restaurant, honestly, but by the complexity of flavors that comprise Burmese food, that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Ordering the food is confusing because you can make your own Poke bowl, a la carte, but it's also provided for you already made, so I'm not sure I would even attempt to create the flavors that they offer in the pre-arranged poke bowl menus. I know my friend and I were inside and there was traffic by the side of the restaurant as many people were driving by to pick up food. I have given it 4 stars because I asked the owner to have a computer spray bottle near the computer because so many hands have touched it that I was afraid to do the same. I told her some of us are germophobes. When I return and she has it in the restaurant I I will come back and give it the 5 stars it truly deserves. read more

Poketown, Hampton NH... This was the worst food experience that I have ever had from any restaurant. I picked up my order, and the woman packing it spilled half of my miso soup on the floor. She never replaced what she spilled. I ordered Peking Ravioli, they came steamed and cut in half, it literally looked like feces in the container. I also ordered an Unagi roll which was rolled rice with only avacado in the center, and about 6 small pieces of Unagi on the side (instead of inside the roll)! I spent almost $40 and threw most of it away. Absolutely....HORRIBLE!! I was warned by friends that it was bad. This was beyond, I should have listened!! read more

The food was decent and the people were fine. It was a little slow for the food. It was a little inconvenient that we had to order online. The ambiance was fine. They don't give you napkins, when I asked they got it from the bathroom. I think they're understaffed, there was literally two people working there. Also they gave plastic forks. I've ordered the same thing from here a couple times now and the first 2 times it was amazing. I ordered the crispy chicken garlic noodles. It says clearly in the menu that " Crispy Garlic Chicken Noodles (no broth) $15.00 Teriyaki chicken, tamari gluten-free soy sauce, scallion, steamed broccoli. Vinaigrette, onion, and cucumber on the side". Every single time I get this now it doesn't come with cucumber and they put mushrooms on it the noodles are different and not good. It is not all how it was when I first started ordering it. I recommend this place to a couple co workers and they were not impressed and said it made their stomach hurt. Another thing is they don't know how to update their hours properly. I've ordered things online and have paid for them and went to go pick it up and it's closed and when I reached out to the owner said there was nothing they could do. Never got my money back. Just super disappointing when you really liked something and it never comes out the same. I won't be recommending this place anymore. It's not worth the hype. read more

Great little poke place! Super fresh, great quality ingredients. I tried the chicken dumplings and the hawaiin poke bowl and they were both delish. (I chowed down before i remembered to take a picture.) The owner Caroline came over to check that I enjoyed everything and gave me a complimentary dessert. The place is small but soo cute and clean. BONUS There is off street parking behind the building. Also the online ordering platform is pretty easy to navigate. Come check out this female owned small business! Poketown opened on Lafayette Rd in Hampton recently, located next door to Hoaty's with parking in the back. This takeout eatery offers a variety of made to order poke bowls, build your own bowls, sushi rolls, ramen (soon), bubble tea drinks, and cooler drinks. There is seating near the counter to eat in. I stopped by Poketown recently for takeout. They have a touchscreen ordering in front of the counter. I ordered a Hawaii Ahi Tuna Bowl ($17 plus tax), which came with a salad with yum yum sauce and a half order of dumplings as a Grand opening promotion. My food order took a bit to be made since they were having technical issues with their system. My food was all set within 15 minutes. However, before I left the property, I noticed I was given a Chicken Salad bowl instead of the Hawaii Ahi Tuna Bowl I ordered. I went back inside and another staff member made things right and made the correct bowl I ordered. The Hawaii Ahi Tuna Bowl had white sushi rice, edamame, sweet onion, marinated tuna cube, cucumber slices, tobiko, hijaki salad, chili flake, wakami, shredded nori, sesame seeds, crispy onion and garlic, tempura butter bits, spring onion, and Poketown premium aioli drsssing. This bowl had solid good flavors. The dumplings with soy sauce were also pretty good too. Overall, Poketown was pretty good other than the technical glitch of getting someone else's order initially. I would avoid this place. We went in to order and the menus out were over a year old and the prices are completely different. My bowl said it was 16 dollars on the menu which is still pricy and they rang it up as 22 dollars without saying anything. What a hidden gem. My wife and I ate there for the first time. My wife had a ramen bowl with shrimp. The shrimp were delicious with a nice crunch that was complimented nicely by the broth and ramen which had satisfying umami flavor. I had the Ahi tuna poke. Best Poke I've ever had.
