Food is fine but the prices are horrible for delivery. Enjoy if you're there; just don't have delivery because they will gouge you.

Excellent restaurant. I've used them several times for takeout and the food is always tasty and they have never forgotten any items.

9 Dragons is the sister restaurant of the legendary Kowloon restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus, MA…read more While 9 Dragons was opened by the same family and still offers some of the same dishes as the original restaurant, this place is quite the glow up from the Kowloon in regards to the food, atmosphere and service. The restaurant itself is stylish and intimate. The space boasts eye catching decor from neon signs and a mahjong tile doorway to big murals and light fixtures in the form of umbrellas and lanterns. The menu is printed to look and feel like a Hong Kong Hollywood newspaper which I also thought was really cool. The menu here is smaller and more focused than the one at the Kowloon, but I did see that it still offers a handful of the Kowloon's signature dishes. In the case of this restaurant, I definitely feel that the limited menu is essential to producing higher quality dishes. We shared a scorpion bowl cocktail for two, which was served in a cute beckoning cat drinking vessel. For food we got the scallion pancake, the General Gau's chicken and the Brussels sprouts. The food came out about ten minutes after we ordered which initially made me a little bit nervous about the food quality, but once we dug in we could tell that the food was quite fresh. The scallion pancake was nice and crispy on the outside, a little bit chewy on the inside and was served with a ginger sauce for dipping. The Brussels sprouts were prepared Kung Pao style with peanuts and a touch of chili pepper. The General Gau's chicken was fried well, coated in a delightfully sweet and spicy sauce and topped with crispy fried rice noodles. We are just about every morsel on the plates. We knew had to save a little room for dessert here when we saw that they serve a giant chocolate dipped fortune cookie that they smash apart with a mallet right at the table. Served alongside some ice cream, the giant fortune cookie is a super sweet and fun way to finish your time here. Additionally, it came as a pleasant surprise when our check came and it was not quite as high as we were anticipating, especially when you consider that the restaurant is housed inside of a casino. All in all, 9 Dragons left us with a great first impression. A great addition to the Seacoast.

I only took off one star for price. It is definitely overpriced. The food was great though. I was…read moreborn and raised just a few minutes from their flagship restaurant, Kowloon in Saugus, MA, so the food at 9 Dragons is not new to me as it's pretty much a smaller scale Kowloon. I live in southern Maine now so it's an hour or so drive to Kowloon. It's only 25 minutes to the Brook and 9 dragons. The decor is dark and what I would call kind of vampy, in a good way. We got our favorites and one new thing. We had chicken fingers, crab rangoons, pork fried rice, and the new to us was the night market popcorn chicken. It was so good! So was the sauce it came with. The night market chicken was described as an Asian Chick-fil-A , and I agree! The nuggets were lightly breaded and seasoned with Chinese 5 spice, so they had a subtle cinnamon flavor. The sauce wasn't spicy, it was just good, almost like a honey mustard. The chicken fingers are lightly battered, unlike most that are all batter and little chicken. The crab rangoons are my favorite of any crab Rangoons! They're not sweet like most, the filling had a very well balanced flavor. They came as an order of 5. I think the fingers were an order of 5 as well, but I'm not sure. The pork fried rice is not greasy. The ambiance is kind of dark and noire, and you don't hear the sounds of the casino from inside the restaurant. After a 20% tip, our order of 5 crab Rangoons, 5 chicken fingers, pork fried rice, night market chicken, a Pepsi and a margarita mocktail (no alcohol) came to about a $100. It was good but definitely overpriced for what we got, but then it is in a casino, so that is probably why it was pricey. I'd go again if I didn't feel like dealing with rte one traffic in Saugus, MA or the hour or so drive to get there, but I wouldn't make 9 Dragons a place to go to on the regular. Side note- we went for the casino too. Small time slot player, I turned $20 into $50 then cashed out. Haha.

Approachable menu with as much fusion as authentic Korean. -- Chicken Wings: Jumbo wings with extra crispness and an inner texture varying between sufficiently moist and gushingly juicy, depending on the piece. Always liked them, and I tried twice more recently with similar positive results. Excellent flavor in both the Soy Garlic and the Sweet and Spicy Gochujang. Superb, and with no price hikes in at least five years, now an excellent value too. -- Kimchi Pancake: Crispy on the edges and fluffier inside, with kimchi adding some crunch and nice flavor to go with the starch. Thin dark sauce to complement it. I think of it as a Korean cross between scallion pancake and egg foo yong. Good for sharing. -- Seafood Jampong: A large bowl of seafood stew with a red broth that has some creaminess as well as spice. Nice texture and chock full of large mussels, scallops, shrimp (gigantic Gulf shrimp as well as baby shrimp), Asian squid, and noodles. The squid was a little chewy, but everything else was cooked beautifully. This dish satisfied both in the restaurant and as leftovers the next day. Good choice for family meal, date meal, or chowing with the buds meal.

We just did the sushi Love boat for four people and all of the sushi was fresh. The salmon was buttery. The tuna was firm. The rolls were done perfectly. We had to wait a bit at the door and there was a little bit of confusion there so we were delayed in getting our seats.... And the waitress was a bit delayed getting to our table, but we made the best of it. Next time we're here, I'm going to do some of the more Korean dishes, but the sushi is well recommended.

Karma in Andover is hands-down one of the best Asian fusion spots around! We stopped in for dinner…read morerecently and left completely impressed. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming--modern decor, lively vibe without being overwhelmingly loud The staff was super attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in, making great recommendations. We started with the salt & pepper calamari and some dumplings--both were fresh, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. For mains, the fried rice was spot-on (flavorful and not greasy at all), and the torched tuna with truffle butter sauce was absolutely divine--such a creative fusion twist! The sushi options looked incredible too, and everything came out hot and beautifully presented. Portions are generous, and the quality really stands out compared to other places nearby. Drinks were solid as well if you're into cocktails. We'll definitely be back--it's become our go-to for date nights or when we crave something a little special. Highly recommend Karma if you're in the Andover area.

The Salmon on Fire was delicious and honorable mention goes to the Dragon Fire roll (sushi rolls are giant).

We had great service from our waitress, and even met the very pleasant owner/hostess who told us a bit more about the restaurant, menu and live music options. We did not get a chance to see the upstairs dining room, but the main floor was very nice, warm and cozy. The menu leans Thai, but I would say the is really Pan Asian. Food was served promptly, hot and delicious. I really enjoyed the Thai lettuce wraps, fresh, clean and delicious. The plate was served with just the right amount of chicken to lettuce ratio. It seems some restaurants struggle getting the ratio right, forcing you to ask for more lettuce, crackers, etc... Not here. We also enjoyed the Golden Bags small plate, which were crispy and delicious. Red Curry main entree was quite good. Heavy on vegetables with a thick red coconut curry. We saved room for dessert, and chose the Chocolate Roti. Perhaps a little bit of a misnomer, as it was two tasty roti filled with Nutella, and served with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Sort of like an ice cream sundae. While the menu is quite clear about it, I envisioned something more chocolatey. All good! Cocktails were also creative and delicious. We will definitely return and work our way deeper into the menu.
