The hubby and I stopped here for some soup. I had the Spicy Thai and he had the tradition Chicken Noodle soup. They only cost $8 a bowl with a fresh roll. They were delicious. Very nice friendly fast service. The atmosphere is bright, modern, clean, and comfortable. The soup menu changes every day. They do service other items as well. So happy to have randomly found this place! If you are looking for a hearty soup, THIS PLACE! I got the Coconut curry Quinoa, it was amazing. I can't wait to try the others!! Ps. This is a cute little soup and salad place - very bright and clean. Soups are excellent - we actually ended up buying two buckets to go and enjoyed them for the next couple of days (Thai noodle and Pumpkin bisque). Salads were fresh and I think pre-made. The restaurant seems to mostly cater to take-out customers. Salads are given to you in take out boxes and you serve yourself the soup. I liked that they list all of the ingredients in the soups. Like another customer, i was nonplussed by the automatic tip at the checkout (you can opt out, but need to look for it). The food is priced appropriately and there is no real service, so I don't quite understand the need for a tip. Otherwise, friendly staff and a good place to grab a quick, healthy bite. read more

I have been to the restaurant a couple of times over the last week and the food, service and atmosphere has been excellent! All of the soups we have had have been both delicious and nutritious. I like that they post the ingredients of all there soups and you can try before you buy. The atmosphere is clean and comfy and they play the music at just the right volume. If someone in your house is sick, this is the right place to go to get some nice chicken soup - a true cure for a bad cold! My husband and I lived on this stuff for 3-4 days when we both had the flu and it was a godsend! Everything I have had from here is fresh and most importantly, tasty. There salads are SO GOOD. Service is great too- today I ordered a salad with roasted chicken. Totally love this place! Done in or take out, everything is delicious! The staff is inviting and helpful, never a sour face! My favorite is the Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup on Tuesdays. The office orders it most every Tuesday during the cooler months. They also have take out soups and dishes in larger quantities stocked to drop by and bring home for the family! I've wanted to stop at Seacoast Soups for awhile but they always look super busy on the weekends. Since I'm on vacation this week (use 'em before you lose 'em so thank you for a week in October, no complaints!) I decided to take a ride up through the Seabrook and eventually Portsmouth area. Around 3pm, the parking lot wasn't very full so we stopped in. I will say people really should take a left upon entering and check out the freezers to the side as they have a ton of yummy sounding homemade foods. I ordered a bowl of chicken soup from a really friendly man at the counter and then discovered the freezers and had to return back to the counter to buy a container of chicken pad Thai. So, browse first then order your soup (which is what I'll do next time). They had a great list of soups but I was blown away by those freezers and the interesting items they had (Asian, old school comfort food like mac n cheese, etc). The soup was very good. I liked their breath. It had a buttery taste to it. It was somewhat bland and I wish I'd had some pepper in the car to spice it up. I'd rather a bland soup that I can personally flavor than one that is too spicy or strong so that was okay. The noodles were very nice in it. All in all, a really nice soup that hit the spot. The pad Thai was just okay. It's a different recipe than what I normally get as take-out and not as spicy. I enjoyed it and we shared it as it was several servings big but I don't think I'd buy that from the freezers again. I do have my eye on trying some mac n cheese the next time I visit though! read more

Amazing, simple, and comforting food! Everything tastes home cooked and I love the simple and clean ingredients (that's super important to us). We tried a little bit of everything- grilled cheeses, both fresh and frozen soup to take home, as well as a couple prepared meals. All we fantastic. I'm a fan and shall return!! Upon entering I was greeted by the owner who is adorable, friendly, and eager to help. She described her products well and told me all about her late grandma Helen and her dessert recipes. There were three large crocks of soup to choose from. They are rotated throughout the week. I chose the large Spicy Thai soup. I had low expectations but was very surprised by how delicious the soup tasted. There was a perfect balance of ingredients and spice. This soup can even please an Asian's palate. They've only been open a month and I'm sure they will evolve as they learn more about the customers demands. They serve homemade soup rolls which I received hot out of the oven. Unfortunately, the roll was placed on top of the soup in my bag and the bottom dried out and hardened. The soup sizes are a bit odd. The small is too small of for a meal and the large is too large. If I'm going to stop by for soup on the run I'd prefer a size right in the middle so there are no post-meal hunger pangs or waste. I paid $6.45 (including tax) for my large soup which is not far from the price of a lunch time entree at a Thai restaurant. When I served myself the soup from the large crock I could hardly find any chicken left. The customers after me were left with noodles and broth. So I guess the trick is to come early. (update - they have since addressed this) Grandma Helen's makes melt in your mouth toffee squares. Try them! -I just upgraded to 5 stars. I continue to be exceptionally pleased by the fresh and tasty soups and salads. The service is always wonderful. Last night I took home the African Peanut soup and poured it over white rice. It was fabulous. I was able to squeeze three meals out of one large soup to go. read more

Would love to see some NEW creative seasonal soups, especially vegetarian, but the ones they do normally have like cream of broccoli, potato leek, are very good. I use the potato leek as a sauce at home. Vegetarians beware though -- the "veggie pad Thai" has shellfish sauce in it. They do make a note of it. I have a shellfish allergy and did not see that when I first tried it and got a reaction. Maybe try making it without the shellfish sauce? I'd buy that! Also the Greek salad which you can order at the counter is fresh and very good. read more

They have tons of soups in their fridge / freezer to take to go & ordering ahead is easy as well. I've never eaten inside (or outside), I always get to go. Beautiful interior, choice of four wonderful homemade soups, Chinese Salad. My husband and I tried Seacoast Soups for the first time and we were delighted. Great prepared meals in the freezer ( shepherd's pie ) rolls, cornbread, and great looking whoopie pies. A great addition to our local eateries. We'll be back. I love being able to pick up a ready made meal for my elderly in laws or a sick friend. I like that it is a lovely room to eat in, or take food home. read more

Two members of our group were not feeling well, so soup sounded great. 4 pots of soup were on the counter for self service in several different sizes. 3 of us had chicken noodle and 1 had the gluten free option soup called mulligatawny. It has red lentils, coconut milk, zucchini, spinach, sweet potatoes and green apples. The chicken noodle soup has chicken stock, roasted chicken, white wine, carrots, celery, and egg noodles. Two of us shared the Mexican wrap-black beans, tomatoes, corn, red onions, with chipotle dressing. We added chicken. Lunch hit the spot for all of us!!! Would highly recommend this place. read more

Wow! This was my first time here. I took a taste of all of the soups offered that day and decided on one of the two that was not a daily but instead a seasonal offering. During the lunch time rush, seating was tough, but many seemed to be coming in and carrying out. Staff was helpful and friendly! The only reason, I'd skip in the 5 stars is only, disappointment in the grilled cheese panini-made steaming hot, and bread was over cooked and too hard to bite into. Also the panini was was tiny! For $4.00 which isn't expensive but it should be the size of a regular sandwich-not the palm of ones hand! But don't let that stop you-the soups are so yummy- and homemade! Well worth it! read more
