Great selection of local craft beer on draft!
    Matthew L.

ParkD is an "eclectic eatery" that opened in Rye, New Hampshire in June 2022. It was founded by culinary couple Ben Solomon and Sarah Blanchette. From a young age, Ben took an interest in cooking and often helped his mother around the kitchen. He graduated from the culinary program at Lakes Region Community College in 2010. He relocated to Portsmouth, known for its bustling restaurant scene, and began working under chef Julie Cutting Kelly at Brazo Restaurant. Once Kelly left to open Cure Restaurant, Ben took over as head chef. He would continue to work at various Portsmouth restaurants over the years. In 2018, Ben and Sarah purchased and opened their own food truck on Islington Street which they dubbed "Wrap Shack". After finding success with the truck, the couple decided to open their own brick & mortar eatery in nearby Rye. The menu at ParkD features a variety of chef plates, sandwiches, tacos, salads, soups and various appetizers. The drink menu also features an eclectic selection of craft beer, cider, wine, cocktails and mocktails. My family and I stopped for lunch at ParkD this past summer while we were on our way to Maine for a summer getaway. We were looking for a good lunch spot in Rye, and ParkD came highly recommended on Yelp. We really liked the vibe at the cozy eatery. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. After looking over the menu, I had the "Pork Belly Grilled Cheese" (fontina, gouda, gruyere cheese blend, fried pork belly, arugula, tuscan white, wine/ chips), my wife had the "Fried Cheese" (Mexican fried cheese, arugula, tomato, pickled onion & cilantro, chipotle aioli, ciabatta, w/ sweet potato fries), our older son had the "Tay's Tenders" (w/ fries), and our younger son had the "Kids Mac & Cheese" (w/ chips). I loved how my sandwich was an excellent balance between the crispiness from the bread and pork belly and the gooeyness from the delicious cheese blend. My wife and I both thought that our sandwiches packed a lot of flavor from the ingredients. I washed my sandwich down with a draft pour of the locally-produced Great Rhythm Brewing's "Squeeze" (IPA). We barely heard a peep from our sons, so they must have really liked their food. We're happy that we discovered ParkD and we highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area!

A wonderful eclectic bistro just outside of Portsmouth NH. I had a wonderful and healthy shaved salad with delicious ice tea. Menu is varied so plenty for everyone. Service was super friendly. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant.

The tacos were great. I've had their food several times when they had the food truck on Islington. Unfortunately, they now longer have their awesome falafel. Their beer selection is quite good. Their pricing is inconsistent as I was charged more for a drink than what was displayed in their refrigerator.

Mexican fried cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and butternut squash flatbread

One of the best lunches on the Seacoast ever! Took Mom for something different. Her usual choice was too crowded so we kept driving and found Parkd. Server was helpful, kind and attentive. Started with butternut squash and wild mushroom flatbread. Awesome! Salty, sweet, crunchy, meaty wild mushrooms, and tangy balsamic glaze - it hit all the notes. I had the Mexican fried cheese sandwich with arugula, pickled onions and chipotle mayo. Delicious decadence. I ate half and my very picky Mom ate the other half! Shocking because she prefers plain, low seasoned food. She chose plain haddock tacos. Haddock was excellent but tortillas were a tad greasy. We split dessert- griddled carrot bread with caramel and ice cream. It was awesome! Not too sweet- plenty to share. Space is adorable with live plants, tables and booths. Prices were reasonable for quality and creativity of the food. Lots of interesting vegetarian and vegan choices- and NOT spaghetti with butter!

I drove out to Rye for the first time ever to try this place since it had good Yelp ratings. It is located just before the roundabout and next to home goods ? store. They have a large unpaved parking lot, an outdoor dining area of 4 tables, and an indoor dining area consisting of more tables and bar area. I sat at the bar and was planning to get the Rueben sandwich just to find out that they changed the menu from the one I saw online. The menu now had lots of different appetizers, salads, tacos, and fewer sandwiches. There was also I sign stating no takeout, dine in only or grab and go options. After looking at the menu for a little while, I decided to get the duck confit with won ton chips appetizer, the caprese salad, and the chicken salad sandwich. The salad came first and it was actually a caprese salad and a fresh green salad all in one. It was really good and just the right size. The Duck confit appetizer came next and it was good but not really what I expected. Finally the chicken salad sandwich came out but it wasn't a sandwich. I guess they mistook my rye bread for a wrap. I decided not to make a big deal about it and the wrap actually tastied really good. It was full of chicken salad but I think I should have ordered some mayo on the side because was more on the drier side then I am used to. The service was outstanding but I could tell the staff was quite new as they had issues with the ordering and billing part of their job. Overall, I was really happy and impressed by my lunch here. The shop was pretty busy as well so I think people or Yelp is spreading the word about this place. I will definitely be back to try some new things next time.

Yum! Yum! Chicken salad!…read more Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the place had plenty of seating. We decided to dine in their nice patio area because it was such a nice day out. Everything on their menu looked delicious and I couldn't decide between a burger or a sandwich. The nice waiter recommended their chicken salad and since I was already looking at that sandwich it made my choice easier. My bf got their Cuban sandwich and since neither entrees came with fries we decided to share an order of their thick cut fries. They also have a variety of beers on tap and canned beverages. I went with one of their local draft dark beers and it was very good. When the food came out it looked very appetizing. Their house coleslaw was extra delicious and super crunchy. The chicken salad tasted great and it was very well seasoned and I really loved the big chunks of chicken! The Cuban sandwich was also very good from the one bite I stole from my boyfriend. And the fries were soooo good! I was a perfect lunch date!
