SO GOOOOOOOD. Seriously. Bomb. Love it here - fresh ingredients, tasty, and good service

Vegan Ceasar salad, vegan sandwich, and latte

AMAZING delicious food, especially if you're looking for vegan options. A bit pricey and be careful your not arriving after their kitchen closes early, but their food tastes so healthy, fresh, delicious and light and is a must stop for an incredible vegan/vegetarian bite in Hampton.

Didn't expect too much but popped in because of the great Yelp reviews. My lox bagel sandwich was delicious and my husband was very happy with his breakfast burrito! Would definitely stop in again if I had the chance.

My husband and I are a frequent customer at Common Roots because their food is always consistently delicious and fresh! The acai bowl and the vegan muffin hit the spot today!

    TLT w avocado and egg.

Frank is a genius. If you are a vegan or even close to one this place is a dream come true. My favorite is the TLT with avocado and if you are feeling crazy add an egg. Every time we are in the area this is cafe is a must stop.

Best coffee on the coast. Allergy friendly. Gluten, dairy, and meat free options! Delish homemade healthy and comfort food options. Yum! Sustainable practices. Keep up the good work!

One staff member even brought over a couple of toys for our little one to play with, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious, and they handled a gluten allergy with care and confidence, making the meal completely stress-free. Excellent service, fun atmosphere, and great food all around. We'll definitely be back!

This is an incredibly popular spot in town for breakfast, so you definitely want to get on the virtual waitlist or make a resy ahead of time. We put our names and mobile number in for a party of two, and with an estimated 20-minute wait, we walked up the street to grab some popovers and a drink for the road later. We headed back within five minutes of receiving the "table ready" text, only to find our reservation had been removed from the system--likely a slight mobile network or system lag. Fortunately, the staff had us wait a few minutes and found us a table. Minor mix-up aside, the service was great, and our server was exceptionally attentive and on top of everything. The food and drinks were excellent, fresh, and well-seasoned. We ordered: - Lime and Cucumber Mocktail - Incredibly refreshing. - Avocado Toast - Flavorful and fresh. - Florentine Eggs Benedict - I customized it by adding savory chorizo, and it was spot on. The menu choices and options are excellent, but the unique ambiance might just be the best thing about the joint. It plays out like part 1950s diner and part 80s/90s nostalgia pop culture shuffle. The walls are fully collaged with vintage, nostalgic art, making it a highly unique and fun interior to look around while you dine. The vibe is exceptionally cool and the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend checking it out when you're in Portsmouth!

My friend got the raspberry cream cheese stuffed French Toast, which was also delicious. (I sampled!) They have homemade baked goods (breads, muffins, and a variety of donuts) that are to-die-for, too. I never leave without a few donuts to take home. It's quaint and small inside, but not uncomfortably so. You can either sit by a cozy, lit fireplace, or by a window. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. The blueberry muffins would have caught my eye even if I hadn't come for one already. Blueberry Muffin: Dense, wobbly, moist but not saturated, light angel cake flavor, numerous blueberries of good size, but not bulbous. Crunch in the crown from just the right amount of coarse sugar sprinkles, but no crispness in the overhang. Uniform pillowy soft texture throughout. Very good muffin. Coffee: Hot, medium bold flavor, and refills from your server. Service: Exceptionally good. Outstanding first impression. Looking forward to trying the homemade donuts and some traditional non-bakery breakfast items.
