I only ordered the protein shake. It is primarily bananas, peanut butter, cocoa, cinnamon, honey, and a few other things. It was not disgusting but I threw most of it out. Perhaps the bananas weren't ripe but the shake was overpowered by unsweetened cocoa? The straw I was given split longways. I flipped it and the same happened again. I typically get the Nohli Banana smoothie from the Juice Box which is nearly identical to the Fresh Press protein shake. They are cheaper and it tastes much much better. The service was terrible. Two employees gabbed behind the counter...I had several questions as I have never been to any Fresh Press locations and was unfamiliar with the menu. After being ignored a few times, I just walked out. The interior is bright and clean but there are only a handful of tables (terrible use of their space). There are some outside tables but their green area is not attractive and feels like you're just sitting in a parking lot. The store is very difficult to see from the street which means they'll get very little drive-by traffic. I hope they can survive, especially when they are competing with Chipotle next door. read more

Was so excited to see this place on Friday when we stopped into Athleta- love a healthy option. Walked in and it was just a young girl who took our order - a smoothie, Nutella toast with strawberries and toast with almond butter and strawberries- make notes of the plural in strawberries. We waited for over 20 min - again only people in the place. Watched as a young guy with long hair cut beets with his hair not pulled back- gross. Nutella toast arrives - super dry and one strawberry cut on each toast - really for $12- and extremely dry. Mine shows up with the almond butter- same sad presentation and so dry that the almond butter crumbled off the bread - we tossed it into the trash- those 3 items totaled $42.00. If you are looking to waste your money and taste sadness - this is your place to go otherwise avoid at all costs! You have been warned read more

Ordered chocolate chip waffles. Big mistake. Took 40 minutes, despite there being no other customers on site. Served in an awkward sized box. I am so disappointed in what I thought was a great establishment. I recently went in and ordered a smoothie and cobb salad. I informed the server that I needed to switch out the cashew milk for oat milk due to an allergy. However, I didn't ask about the nuts in the Cobb salad because it's a COBB SALAD, and had no indication that it included nuts nor was I told. I have had this allergy for most of my life and do my best to stick to safe items. I got home, took two bites of my salad, and my anaphylaxis symptoms began immediately. I knew there HAD to be nuts in the salad. I spent the entire afternoon in the ER. The next day I called Fresh Press and told them what had happened. The condescending manager told me that perhaps a nut had fallen into the salad and that they couldn't guarantee there wasn't cross-contamination. Again, I have had this allergy for a long time and know cross-contamination is a risk everywhere I go, but this reaction wasn't just cross-contamination. She also said nothing came through yesterday stating a customer had an allergy, which wasn't the case. I asked her if she knew if the dressing had nuts and she said she had to check the ingredients. Meanwhile, she kept reiterating that it could be because the nuts were next to other ingredients. She then tells me that the dressing is made of CASHEW BASE. I told her that something so unlikely to include nuts, such as ranch dressing should CLEARLY be labeled as containing nuts. The last thing I want is for this to happen to someone else because not everyone may be as lucky as me. I then asked to speak to the owner. She wrote down my name and number and said he would call me later. I NEVER received a call from him. I am honestly so enraged by the manager's response and the negligence of Fresh Press. A compassionate response would have been the LEAST they could have provided me. Instead, they tried very hard to cover their ass and blame me. If you're going to market yourself as allergy friendly and health conscious then BE ALLERGY FRIENDLY AND HEALTH CONSCIOUS FOR EVERYONE. I encourage owner Aaron Smith and his manager to educate themselves on Rachel's Law. Rachel was a UNH student in the area who died from a restaurant being unaware and not labeling a dish unlikely to have nuts in it. These are people's lives we are talking about. I leave this review as a cautionary tale and to encourage Fresh Press to put their money where their mouth is and stop hiding behind cheap hypocritical marketing. This isn't the first time this has happened and it doesn't seem like it will be the last. There is another review from 9 months ago describing a similar situation with the SAME SALAD. i came in here with my mom this morning and we both got a smoothie. and I had a chia over night oats and a veggie hummus sandwich. drinks came out first and then when I got my sandwich I got it late. it was a small portion and I did not think the price was worth it for the size. The bread was also soggy. I threw all of it out. The staff was talking to each other so it took me forever to get my food. I am pregnant and very disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone nor would I go back to this place. read more

The food is decent, but inconsistent. Sometimes produce isn't fresh. On more than one occasion, half the avocado in a bowl has gone bad. Portions are inconsistent. Service is unfortunately not great.
