Fruit-based teas with real fruit and real ingredients! I'm obsessed. If you like the super sweet powder-based boba drinks, this isn't the place for you. But if you love real ingredients, this is stellar. For example, instead of a powder-based taro tea, they cook and mash real taro into the bottom of their version and it's amazing. read more

This is a decent boba shop in Portmouth. I had the oolong milk tea. Tea was strong and they use lactose milk which is a plus. They made it sweetness perfect without any adjustment. I enjoyed my hot tea on a cold day. My son had the strawberry smoothies. He said it good with bites of strawberries in it. The staffs there were very nice and offer to take a family picture for us. I was so hyped when I walked by this place while it was still under renovation, the thought of not having to drive an hour to Boston to get decent bubble tea made me beyond excited! I finally got to try it today and I was not disappointed. The inside is very clean and minimal with few stools by the window and two small sofas. I went for the regular pearl milk tea and it was not bad. Comparable to the ones I get in Chinatown. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy. I was a little bummed they didn't have taro milk tea, but they are more fruit tea based. My boyfriend tried the Apple Fruit Sherbet and he loved it. Absolutely delicious and tastes like what I expected! I've had a lot of bubble tea in my life and Mr. Wish has got to be on my list of top 5. Their bubbles are cooked to perfection- chewy but not mushy. I love their passionfruit because you get the little seeds with adds a nice texture to your drink. We were pleasantly surprised to find a boba shop in Portsmouth. We didn't expect too much of it, but the fruit tea was actually fantastic. I got the wish special fruit tea, which tasted very fresh and was full of real fruit pulp. One of the top 3 fruit teas I've had. Grapefruit green tea was also superb. Just found out that this place was here over the past weekend, and sad I didn't know sooner! I absolutely love bubble tea and unfortunately there hasn't been anything good around without going to Boston. Until now! I've been 3 times already and brought along friends as well. I've been telling my co-workers about it too, I really want this place to be successful and a staple of the local culture! Mr. Wish is a Taiwanese Bubble Tea Franchise that focuses on quality products, and natural ingredients. The boba is fresh and soft and the fruit products are delicious and juicy. They also have add-ins that you might not be familiar with if you haven't had much bubble tea, or bubble tea from a legit place. Coconut Jelly and Pudding are just a couple of my favorites (Get the 3Q Milk Tea if you want a great texture experience haha). Mr. Wish also offers seasonal specialties, and currently as of 10/30/19 offer Custard/Redbean treats in the shape of a cat's paw. Got a honey green tea and ultimately got mediocre iced tea for $7 for a large. I could've paid less for a better tea at Starbucks or the Spice and Tea Exchange down the street. Mr. Wish is a great addition to downtown Portsmouth! I'm so glad we finally got a bubble tea place! The store is rather small, it's mostly just to order your drinks and take it to go. There's 6 seats inside mostly used by people waiting on their drinks. The menu has a wide variety of drinks that you can customize the sweetness on. They also have numerous add-ons to drinks. We tried the egg custard waffles which were deliciously sweet and fluffy. Next time I really want to try the read bean ones. I came by two nights in a row while on a weekend visit, and I can say that their drinks are better than many boba places I've been to in LA, Orange County, Bay Area, New York, Boston, and dare I say even Taipei, the motherland of boba and milk tea. I had their mango smoothie (very good but a tad bit too sweet), milk tea with pudding no boba (amazing - no complaints), and their orange green tea (very refreshing on a summer evening).
