Club sandwich with home made chips.
    Roth L.

Heard and read a lot of good things and finally got in to get my Club Sandwich. Phenomenal. Turkey was perfect and tomatoes/lettuce were crisp. Marbled rye was soft and fresh. Their home made chips were a nice find. Service was friendly and fast. Glad I finally made it in and won't wait so long next time. Great job.

Fat Tomatoes Grill , York Maine. They are a little hole in the wall on the main street in York. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches, wraps and salads. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you are getting. There is limited seating inside and out ( Which is right on the road). Parking Can be a problem since there are only five spots right infront of the shop. There is parking along the road though. They are limited on chips and soda but there is a convenient store right across the street. They do have some nice homemade sweets too. We got two sandwiches , and sweet potato tots with a great maple dipping sauce, then headed to Long Sands and had a picnic. I highly recommend trying this place once you will not be disappointed.

Is this another photo of my sandwich? I definitely loved it

I was surprised by the menu, which resembled what you would typically find at a sandwich shop in Rome, but also includes Moe's sandwiches. I was kind of shocked by how authentically Italian it looked inside, plus the two young men behind the counter had thick Italian accents. They were very helpful in explaining the menu to me. The prices were a little steep for a sandwich shop, but that's expected from an up-and-coming touristy town like York. I really like that the sandwich shop was located right on the beach and has outdoor seating. While there was also indoor seating, it was very no-frills. As for the food, it was extremely fresh. I had just the right ratio of mozzarella, tomato, and veggies. They drizzled a bit of balsamic on the top for some extra flavor, which the sandwich definitely needed. Overall I was very satisfied by my quick stop!

But the car is packed, you're sweaty from packing the car, the dog's inside, it's ninety degrees out, and suddenly a sit-down brunch is the worst idea anyone's ever had. A breakfast sandwich is the obvious move... but Dunks isn't ending anyone's vacation on a high note. What you actually want is a bagel shop *that is also a deli*, because obviously you're going to convince yourself this sandwich needs something bougie like avocado. And maybe red onion. Maybe sprouts. Maybe all three. (See aforementioned note about still being on vacation) Of course you also need a place with online ordering, so you can tick little boxes and assemble your slightly unhinged sandwich in private. (btw the person making it is either judging you or admiring your vision. Cream cheese AND bacon? OK I see you.) Place the order as you're leaving Ogunquit and it's waiting for you by the time you hit Kittery. The next thing you know, the whole car is rolling down I-95 in complete silence because everyone is chewing away with cream cheese in the corners of their mouths. A word of advice, don't forget the napkins

Just so weird. It's also just gross in there in general. To be honest, all of that would be forgivable if the staff were at least the slightest bit nice. They are all so incredibly rude. They are young and I get that Covid ruined their formidable socialization years, but it's actually crazy how awful they are. Can't even get them to crack a smile or a "thank you". Sorry, not to be a boomer, but if I'm spending 55 bucks on two burgers some fries and a shake, I'd like some good customer service. Definitely save your money. EVERYONE from the people I spoke with on the phone, to those at the desk, and those in the restaurants were incredibly friendly and helpful. So much so, that my husband, friend who was with us, and I kept commenting on it to each other. We got an email the day of our reservation saying that pipes had burst in the building we had for our reservation (they have four (I think it's four) buildings that comprise the inn) and they gave us options for other rooms. They upgraded us to a really lovely room. The location is excellent - across the street from the ocean. The furnishings were old (in a good way), heavy, wood pieces that really contributed to the place feeling warm and homey. The beds were superior. The shower pressure was strong. The sharing living room with fire place was so comfortable. The breakfast was top shelf. Homemade coffee cake and apple cake and blueberry muffins. Homemade pancakes one morning. Everything about breakfast was great - and included in the room cost. They have a restaurant and a pub in the main building. We ate at both. The staff were wonderful. The servings were more than ample (the bean and goat cheese salad was enormous, and the mussels appetizer was super generous). I had the ravioli with seafood, which was delicious. My husband loved the mussels. The crab cakes were truly full of crab meat, not filler. Our servers were relaxed, helpful, and friendly - making our dining even more enjoyable. We definitely will return to the Inn, and recommend it to everyone we know. It was a special couple days. Did I mention how friendly the people are there?

We, as long as others, were doing laps around the main lot and the mini lot for the Harbor Hill Inn trying to find a spot. We ended up having to park on the street because there were not enough spots at Harbor Hill. When checking in, we were told there are enough spots for each room, yet the lot for our Inn was completely full. We were also told that if we found a spot, we shouldn't move the car. We wanted to explore the area more, so we did have to leave, it is odd to me that an Inn doesn't have a better parking situation for Inn patrons. We thought it would be fun to go to the pub for apps and a drink before our dinner reservation at the main restaurant. Unfortunately, we were met with an hour long wait for 2 at the pub. I do find it interesting when an Inn doesn't open up reservations or spots for their own guests to dine, rather than locals. When we did go to our dinner reservation, we had a nice time. Our waiter was helpful. When the food came, they brought out a wrong dish. The boy that brought it out told us he wished we said something before he put it on the table because now the dish couldn't be used. We weren't able to tell it wasn't the right dish until it was in front of us.... we then waiting 15 minutes for the right food to come out. Our waiter had them remake my meal as well since it got cold, which was nice. The food was great once we finally had it. They also comped 50% of the wrong dish which was also nice. After dinner we had drinks and headed back to our room to go to bed. A phone call woke us up. It was the front desk; they told us that "Someone came into the lobby furious that our room is being so loud. They said that last night, this morning and this evening we have been ridiculously loud." I told the person on the other line that we have been asleep in bed, and we only checked in this evening. I find it curious that the front desk wouldn't look who was in the room and if we had even been there the day prior. Then, instead of offering an apology, they said "well do you hear any noise?" I said earlier the room next to us was making some noise but nothing like they are describing. They then said, "well which side, right or left?" I said I do not know I need to go back to bed. Pretty unbelievable, and something that hasn't even happened to me at a cheap hotel. I wish I walked away feeling better about our stay, but it is in a beautiful location...
