Great selection, delicious and very affordable (see menu photos). Nice little restaurant with easy parking.

Friendly service but food was awful, no idea who says its tasty. First of all the portions were ginormous, 4 thick cut bacons with biscuits covered in a bowl of watered down gravy. 3 over-easy eggs were ok. My wife did not even eat her Benedict meal, none of it just looked good. Out of all breakfast places in Alaska this one was worse :/ read more

First the view is amazing. The service was excellent. Food was wonderful and dessert to go was delicious. Loved the whole experience. Would definitely go again. Did I mention the view? read more

First visit, 1pm on a Monday. Small clean place in a plaza at the rotary. Friendly greeting from server who invited us to seat ourselves. I had a scrambled egg, corned beef hash (canned, my preference) and rye toast. Everything came out as ordered. Sis had homemade quiche and a salad. It was good. We filled our bellies and had no complaints. read more

Fast, attentive & friendly service. Food was tasty and served hot. Nice diner feel with outside seating. Recommend. read more

Decent place to eat. Stopped in and got lunch. They didn't have gluten free bread for a sandwich but they offered to make it on their GF English muffin. However, they don't appear to recognize food sensitivies as they brought out clam chowder without discussing whether it had gluten. I thought the chowder was pretty good, thick and lots of clams. The sandwich was decent but rather and average sandwich like I could make at home. The fries were also average, a little heavy. I could eat there again but would probably try somewhere else first. read more

The breakfast was hot, I had Nancy's special, my husband had a special asparagus omelet. the food was tasty and the service was great!

The food is so good! You get a nice size plate with all the ingredients for a delicious satisfying breakfast. The staff is so funny and fun, they make you leave with a pep in your step! The atmosphere is bright and uplifting and very clean. MAKE A POINT AND GO. read more

A very traditional breakfast restaurant. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I will say for a restaurant that is more than 30 years old that it is very clean. We have been to too many other places that were very dirty. read more

This is now my second time going hereGood food, great service, very clean will definitely go back

I came here two days in a row for breakfast on the weekend. I went early on Saturday and it was pretty open seating. On Sunday, I went late (10am) and it was really busy and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Both times the food has been good and service is really good. Waitress are very busy but are constantly moving to take orders, fill coffee, bring out orders, chat with customers, and cash out customers. Even when they were really busy they all still provided excellent service. The food is mostly simple well cooked breakfast dishes and I didn't really see anything fancy or outrageously unique. The only complaint I have was the serving of bacon. They only give three strips in an order. So both times I had to order a side order of crispy bacon. The coffee service is excellent and they are always checking to make sure your coffee never gets low and each time they have given me a coffee for the road while paying the bill. There coffee is also very good too. Overall, it is a great place for breakfast and very good place if you love coffee like me. read more

Amazing experience. Super friendly staff, knowledgeable about the area. Pointed out some great roads and areas to explore (was cruising on the bike). Food and service were outstanding read more

I was informed the ownership of this establishment is fairly new. That said, the food is very good, (albeit the portions slightly smaller than in the past). The prices are reasonable and the restaurant definitely has a local feel despite tourists waiting to get in... read more

We have eaten here a few times and always like it. I enjoy my old standby bacon egg and Cheese on a bagel. My boyfriend likes French toast and he loved his. Service is quick , friendly , they are following all cdc rules so we felt very safe. I recommend this place for sure. read more

Used to be one of our favorite places-food is great, lately have some of the rudest waitress and host staff known to man. Was going to try again yesterday, saw few seats empty at bar. We're politely waiting near by for clean up and lately basically accosted us like criminals trying to steal a seat. I am in hotel & restaurant business and not always easy to maintain professionalism but that lady needs to go! Rude, short, glasses-unprofessional a complete ass! You lady need to move on-we gave it a second try, after having same experience a month ago-never again! Too bad-used to be our go to spot! Live in york, father in law in Kittery-navel yard retiree! You just lost a lot of core guests! Stay away until they fire satin! Good bye read more

Ate here while visiting Portsmouth. Fast, friendly service that never let my coffee cup go dry. Had the omelette while my friend had the blueberry apple pancakes. Both were excellent. Recommended. read more

We stopped here when we didn't want to wait an hour at a popular breakfast spot in Portsmouth and so glad we did. They have good food and friendly service. They even offer gluten free english muffin, which was a big plus for me! read more

Great little place to have a home cooked meal. Service is fast for how busy this location is. I didn't realize the omelette didn't come with potatoes, so next time I'll remember to order them separate. We also got the peach and pecan pancake. Extremely delicious but the consistency of how many nuts are in there was crazy. One pancake had the right amount and the other two pancakes were pretty much all nuts! Maybe chop then not have them whole. read more

We stumbled on this little place when we didn't want ti wait for the round about diner in Portsmouth and we are sure glad we did! The food was great, the staff was hustling to move people through as efficiently as possible but never made you feel rushed. Our daughter loves pancakes and this place didn't disappoint! In fact she ate almost the entire thing, and it was huge! If we are back in the area, we'd head back here for sure! read more

Located at the Kittery Traffic circle, the Sunrise Grill really packs them in! We snagged the last booth on a Saturday morning and there was a line when we left. My ham, broccoli and cheese omelet was the thin type of omelet with all of the filling inside with a thin layer of egg wrapped around. It was tasty for sure with no complaints from me. My husband enjoyed the special omelet of the day, the Mediterranean, with spinach, feta and olives. Coffee was OK, not the best I've had. While they seem to cater more to locals, we were certainly welcomed and didn't feel out of place. I'd return if I were in the area. read more

I stopped by the Sunrise Grill recently, which serves up breakfast and lunch in a casual and comfortable setting. The place was moderately busy and I sat myself at an open table near the kitchen. The friendly waitress promptly arrived with breakfast and lunch menus, as it took me a few moments to decide what I wanted to order. I glanced up at the Specials board and decided on the Grilled Chicken Focaccini ($7.99) served with fries & dill pickle spear. The food was served to me in about 15 minutes. The square sandwich was big which had a chargrilled chicken breast topped with pesto, diced tomatoes, and melted mozzarella cheese over leaf lettuce on a soft thick toasted square focaccia roll, yummy! The standard golden fries were hot and crisp. Overall, lunch was very good and fairly priced. The service was prompt and the waitress also brought out another ice water to my table during the meal. read more

The Sunrise Grill was a very pleasant surprise, right off of the Kittery Traffic circle. It is an old school diner.. The crowd, at 8:00 on a pre-Memorial Day Sunday morning, seemed to be mostly local. The vibe was wonderful old school diner. The middle aged waitresses were uniformly friendly and pleasant. The food was excellent. We had a couple of Fiesta scrambles and a vegetarian omelette. The service was relaxed, but not negligent. The only thing that had room for improvement was the coffee, which was only OK. This place is on the top of my short list for breakfast when I'm in the area. read more

The Good: Classic, casual, comfortable diner. I have a nostalgic fondness for old-school diners, and if you do too, you'll love it. The Bad: Nothing! Just don't go expecting anything fancy (it is in a strip mall after all), appreciate it for what it is -- a classic American diner. The Food: Classic unfussy diner food. My blueberry pancakes are always delicious, the homefries are real potatoes, and they make their own biscuits, zucchini bread, and croissants. They serve breakfast all day, which is awesome. The Service: Classic diner service. Get ready to be called "hon" by the same waitresses who've worked there forever, who joke and chat with the regulars. Overall: I kept coming back for the comforting atmosphere and food. I love this diner! read more

Great little diner! Clean, cozy & quiet. The food was great and reasonably priced. Our server was efficient and friendly. Bonus: the morning sun comes in from behind the building, so there is no sun in your eyes when you are eating! (I added a picture taken in at 7:45 am.) read more

Second time here and they do not disappoint! Great service with friendly smiles and good comport food.

Waited on by the Manager- Good location off route 1 and I95 by the Kittery outlets unfortunately customer service is less than desirable when being addressed. Food was subpar parallel to the customer service, not a suggestion of a morning breakfast to enjoy while looking to start the day off right. Goes without being said for those who view this- The comment from the ownership is indicative to this post in the first place. read more

*Backlog* Came here a few weeks back with the Fiancé while enjoying a nice Saturday morning. We came in and an older lady sat us down and.... Well, that was it. No response to my greetings, menus or drink orders taken. She then proceeded to walk outside pickup a watering can and water the plants outside for a little over five mintues, walk back in and ignore us. We waited about 10 minutes additional before a younger girls seeing my fiancé mouthing "What the Fuck" a few times came over to offer us drinks and menus. I have no idea what to think about the situation, truly I don't remember the food but I remember the experience..... She watered the plants.... read more

Food- It's your run of the mill diner fare. There's really nothing more to say, as I'm sure you'e all been to a diner. The food is average and nothing I've had has stood out either way. Prices- Again, they are on par with every other diner with affordable breakfast staples and daily specials. Service- It's been lackluster both times I've come, The waitstaff is friendly, but rarely check on the table after they bring the food, I really don't want to have to wait 10 minutes for a water refill or for you to come back when you've brought the check. Atmosphere- It's clean inside, located in the same strip mall as Tasty Thai. It's not enormous inside, the tables are just barely far enough away from each other to avoid being awkward. It's one of those epitome of average places where nothing puts it over the top or sinks it down. It's fine for a breakfast if you're in the area, but the waitstaff needs to be more attentive. read more

Local crowd, good classic American breakfast. Prices have gone way up in recent years to near downtown Portsmouth levels, even the drip coffee. Could be real estate prices/rent or tourists. But it's no longer the bargain it once was. read more
