I absolutely love this tucked away pub in York. The service is absolutely exceptional and everyone is so pleasant and kind as well as extremely fast with getting food and drinks to you. Great wines by the glass at solid prices. The food is actually amazing and highly underrated, i think more people should be talking about it! I love the portion sizes on everything - the cobb salad was the biggest salad i have ever seen and everything in it was so fresh and delicious. The wings and fries are also standouts to me for something that could be horrible if executed poorly but they really serve them at an elevated level. I always love the specials they have for Brussel sprouts and the flavors com through really nicely on those everytime. Such a great space by the water and really cozy inside, i will definitely be a regular here. read more

I was visiting friends in the area and they took me here. I could tell I was going to like this place from the minute I stepped inside! We got a table around the corner, overlooking the ocean, beautiful from the recent snowfall. I've forgotten our server's name, but she was awesome! I had the beef stew & biscuit special. Worst experience I've ever had on York Beach. The server was inattentive and borderline rude. Service was extremely slow. Ordered food (burgers and fried sandwiches). After 45 minutes they were still not out. Staff blamed slow kitchen, despite the fact that tables around us received their meals. Took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine and server was nowhere to be found to order another drink. I finally asked for a manager and was told there was no one working. Horrendous experience and will not be back despite visiting at least a dozen times in the past. Save your time and money. They should close for the good of society. read more

Walked in on a Sunday seated right away, which is very surprising but now I understand why, half of the items you can't even order the oven broke a few days ago for a high-end restaurant here at the beach you would've think somebody would've fixed it by now can't even make a set of nachos. When mentioned this to the waitress she had attitude and walked away. Hannaford is right up the street. They go to easily went and bought bags of chips and made nachos. Shitty service. Leaving now without ordering anything. I would hope the staff would've been a lot more social with their guests, considering we just walked in and sat down, and she already had attitude when she came here. This doesn't look good for York Beach at all and as a resident bringing a guest here who specifically chose this place from Texas. This does not look good. read more

I have gone there for years. I have been asking them to bring back their chicken dinners, but not yet. Great place for drinks and burgers.They do have specials and are reasonably priced for a tourist town in the summer. read more

The food and service were all good. It's a nice little pub in the hotel. We ordered a burger, it was very good, but the bottom bun was super soggy. We also got their spinach dip, it was good, but good have used more spinach. read more

What a great spot!! We got a table on the patio just after sunset. Our server was fantastic. Efficient and friendly. We were there a little past closing as we finished and didn't feel rushed at all. My favorite place to have a Maine Lunch and Haddock Rueben. Can't get any better with that oceanfront.

Excellent lunch! 4 of us went for lunch and all were satisfied. We wanted a nice lunch, with a view and a little holiday vibe. We sat at a sunny, decorated window with a nice view of Short Sands and the ocean. We started with 3 bloody Mary's which were tasty and an ice cold Alagash beer. We ordered another shot of vodka as we like them to be a tad stronger. 2 of us ordered the haddock Rueben , one the haddock tacos and the other a haddock sandwich. All were generous portions. Two of us got the side salad which was the perfect size and very fresh, with their crab dressing (sounds weird but actually tasty) and 2 got the side fries that were very crispy without being overcooked. Finally some nice crispy fries! It was a nice lunch and we all were glad we chose this spot as there isn't a lot of lunch options off season up this way. We all said we will be back. read more

First time trying The Union Bluff- Pub restaurant and it was pretty good. A little loud but it was a Saturday and it was Fall Festival in York, ME. So, to be expected. The service was great. Fast and food was delivered very quickly. Food was delicious. Deceiving because the pics I saw on the website didn't look like a lot of food. When you get the food on the table.... What a great evening. Lovely views, great staff and awesome food. Connected to the hotel, it is still easy to get in. Not sure if you can use the valet parking, but there is plenty of places around town and an enjoyable walk. With a great view of the beach and ocean, you really can't go wrong. The staff is very friendly. Great menu options and specials. Yep he hummus platter was huge snd a meal of its own. Plus bread so come hungry for sure. The cod special was incredible and with the sauce on the side, I was able to control the amount. Loved it. Offered a full bar, beer rotation and everything else to meet the needs of your group. Union Bluff Grill is always a stop on our trip to York, mainly because my son loves the nachos. I love the baked haddock with capers and sun dried tomatoes and the hummus board with whipped feta. The onion ring app is also great. The staff varies - Michelle and Pam are both great - attentive, understanding of picky eating kiddos etc. The restaurant continuously seem short staffed so on Monday of the week of 4th of July, even with an empty restaurant, we waited 45 minutes for an appetizer, which isn't ideal with hungry kids! But, the food is decent just beware of wait times and if going with kids maybe ask about that ahead of time. read more

A nice spot on Cape Neddick, a short walk from the main tourist area. We enjoyed the haddock tacos and the house made veggie burger. Service was nice but a bit slo, mostly while waiting for the check. It's a popular spot with both indoor and outdoor seating and the view is lovely. They offer valet parking and there is also a huge public lot nearby with lots of little shops along the way to the pub. read more

A much needed vacation in Maine, a much needed first vacation beach meal, and two very satisfied and happy customers. We ordered online from our perfect spot on Short Sands, then my husband just walked over and picked it up. The wheat bread was done just right (crunchy but not dry), as was the bacon (crisp but not burned nor fatty), with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fries, which I'd ordered "well done" were still a little soft but they were delicious, as was the pickle. Mmmmmm. Will absolutely enjoy more grill fare on the beach from the Bluff. read more

Nice, kid-friendly spot, but tourists beware. Good New England clam chowder, albeit heavier on the potatoes than clams, but the lobster roll was small and WAY overpriced. Granted, it's on us that we didn't ask the 'market price' before ordering, but $40 (not a typo) for a roll this small is outrageous - especially when live lobsters are being sold a mile away for $6.99/pound! Had the spicy margarita special, which would have been great had there been some tequila in it. Maybe there is different pricing, and drink pours, for the locals. I certainly hope so. read more

My boyfriend and I did a day trip up to York and stopped at Union Bluff for lunch. Kristen was our server and she was the absolute best, so sweet and efficient. The food was incredible (highly recommend the BLT and the haddock reuben)! The bread literally melts in your mouth, the chipotle aioli is amazing, and the blueberry cheesecake was just the cherry on top of a great meal. The drinks were fantastic, the view was great, you really can't beat this place. It was his first time up there and he was blown away. We had our wedding reception dinner here back in 2006 and the food was great then, the staff amazing and the drinks wonderful. Today, it's still as good, if not better. And before or after dinner, go for a walk on the beach, enjoy funorama and all the shops and have a good night! read more

The calamari was super breaded and over cooked, the rings were crunchy you couldn't even appreciate the texture of calamari. I would not recommend this place, no reservations, put name in for 7, said half hour and they would text me when table ready. Never received a text and one of our party went in to check and they said yes table was ready get everybody here immediately. Mind you I'm staying at the hotel. I order the swordfish special and after sitting there 45 minutes they come out and say they are out of the swordfish. So I get the baked haddock on the regular menu, no flavor and cold, mashed potatoes cold, broccoli was good. Drinks were good, waitress was good but I would never come back here. read more

We were spending our wedding anniversary in Maine. We stayed at the Union Bluff Hotel and this was the Hotel's restaurant. As a part of the breakfast option we added to our room package, we trekked down on the first morning of our stay. Our server, Debbie, was no-nonsense, matter of fact, and totally cute IMO. The coffee flowed. The breakfast made quite an awe-filled first impression. The hash browns were just so delicious - just right. My husband had the Bluff Breakfast which had pancakes, ham, toast, scrambled eggs and potatoes. He loved it but could not finish it. We left satisfied. What happened!!!!! The Main conversation at the bar was how bad the menu and food are now. And this was by 10-15+ yearly vacationers and locals. New owners or management I guess, no more oyster specials unless half dozen for 20$ is considered specials, because it's the most expensive in the area. However the Filet didn't disappoint cooked to perfection and the bar tender was great. My wife loves her espresso martinis and has been searching 365 since our last trip to find one just as good, to no avail. read more

Attended the last Wine Dinner night of the season. Food was subpar, crunchy risotto , raw beef and the charcuterie looked like it was just deli meat tossed on a plate. Wine was a 5 out of 10, should have left a bottle at each table but they skimped. Will be the last one we attend. read more
