I stopped by Syrup Sunday morning on my way up to OKC from the north Dallas area for a quick bite to eat. Very glad I stopped! I ordered the Home Sweet Homa breakfast with a cinnamon roll pancake. VERY good! Everything had a nice flavor to it! The only cons I have to the breakfast is that the potatoes were pretty soft (I prefer my country potatoes a little more crispy) and there was a LOT of frosting on the pancake. But I had never been here before so I didn't know what to expect. If I'm ever back that way and have a chance to visit Syrup again, I would definitely get this breakfast again and know what to ask for :) They definitely made this Texan feel at home

Cute place with a great menu in downtown Norman this place definitely has potential. Although the name is syrup dont worry there are plenty of other options on the menu. We ordered the fritatatas substituted pancakes for the toast, eggs Benedict with a side of hash potatos and the haystack The disappointment, each breakfast item came out at seperate times - my wife had to wait the longest for hers and the eggs came out overcooked. I found my side of pancakes dense, but the fritatata was well executed . Final disappointment to be honest was 3 coffees cost $12, I understand food costs and inflation but thats over and above Syrup has potential but the execution and cost overall left me frustrated with the breakfast

Latte was really good. The chicken is waffles was interesting to say the least. Didn't realize it was shredded chicken. Would not order it again. Service was good. Overall it was ok.

We just had a delicious brunch here. Cutest little spot with a cool vibe. Amazing cappuccino, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cinnamon roll French toast with berries, and more. Husband had the chocolate milk and it's like a milkshake. Friendly service too! We'll definitely be back. It was nice to stop by on a non-game or non-parents weekend day. Got on the yelp wait list and got in fairly quickly.

The French toast was amazing and the basic bacon and eggs. The service was friendly and fast. It's a cute restaurant in a cute college town. The vanilla latte was very tasty and the chocolate milk with whip cream! We will be back on our next visit to Norman!

Went to Syrup for a second time as I had a friend from out of state visiting and I had a great experience the first time I went so I wanted to share it! The food was still amazing. The only thing I can say this time around was that it did take extremely long to get our food (we went on a Friday morning around 10am) it wasn't busy so I'm not sure why it took so long and our server never came to tell us updates and we had a movie to catch at 12 in bricktown! When our order did come I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast but I was given the cornflakes French toast (don't get me wrong it was still delicious but not what I wanted but I had somewhere to be so I didn't correct it) That is the only reason why I gave it a 4 star and not a five star. Otherwise food was fresh and yummy!

My daughter and I were in Norman for a college visit a few weeks ago and went to Syrup based on a friend's recommendation. OH MY GOSH...IT WAS AMAZING!!! We asked our waiter for suggestions since we were rookies and ended up ordering and sharing the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and the Skillet Scramble with avocado. I am a big breakfast fan, and I seriously think it was the best breakfast I've ever eaten!! 3 weeks later, we are still talking and dreaming about it! Stop reading reviews and go now! But join the waitlist first

THE BEST BREAKFAST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!! The kindest servers and the best coffee in all of Norman! A must go- and it's so cute and the paintings on the wall add to the ambiance.

Hot restaurant, long wait, turn and burn type service, and the food was just ok. The server and the hottest were very nice and the only reason this restaurant gets a 3 star. I knew going in the restaurant had mixed reviews but I was hoping for different. I completely do not mind to wait ti be seated if the food is worth it and I am not rushed out of the restaurant. For a brunch weekend experience, a check should never be dropped during the supposed to be "to bite check back". I am a great tipper and if I wouldn't have been rushed I would have sat longer and bought more specialty drinks since the one I ordered was very uneventful. I do hope they can improve and become more consistent as it is a cute little spot with sweet staff. Food Eggs Benedict - very small eggs not even covering the english muffin, not exciting, not much flavor but I will say it has potential. I ordered this because I was told they had the best hollandaise sauce but unfortunately it wasn't. It lacked flavor and the consistencywas not as fluffy as should be. I finished it only for fuel since I am intermittent fasting. Sweet Cream Pancake - very very dry. At least serve with butter or add a little before serving. It wouldn't have melted though since it wasn't hot when I got it. Again, not even as flavorful as a regular buttermilk cake especially the ones down the street at The Diner. Coffee drink - The natural....I had to have it since it is especially with lavender and honey. Unfortunately, they use the bad lavender flavoring that taste really fake. Ask around, fet a new brand qnd this could be very delightful. Haystack uses an awesome brand and there us an Italian Lavender syrup that is amazing too. Don't ask Stella Nova as their lavender brand sucks too.

Everything is great here EXCEPT THE FOOD AND COFFEE TEMPERATURE. Everything was cold. I'm good with lukewarm but this was colder than that. I am not a person who wants HOT food, but this was cold. Tengo frío. On the flipside, it was yummy. Okay, it probably would have been yummier if it had been warm. Presentation was good. The decor and ambience is cool, modern industrial. In grace, I liked the table so much I began looking on the internet to buy one. I ordered an Americano with rose syrup and it was cold and missing the rose. Oh well. They cheerily nuked it for me.

Walking in: Malu greeted us with a big smile and went out of her way to help us get a Table even though they were swamped. Very impressed. Tea and Coffee: Very tasty and flavorful. Food:very taste

First things first.... what a cute name! I had a friend post on her FB page every time she was there. So I looked Syrup up. I loved what I saw. At that moment I knew I had to go there! We used the Yelp app and checking before our arrival. When we showed up we were seated within 5 minutes. It is small at this location, but it is perfect. We had a wonderful waitress, Sailor. She was sweet and helpful. She helped us with menu items. The yogurt parfait was so good! I highly recommend it. Our kids certainly loves it. My friend devoured the crispy French toast. The drinks are awesome! My kiddo had chocolate milk. I am pretty sure he will be asking for his chocolate milk to be made just like they made it. I have them 4 stars because the condition of the bathroom could have used some attention. It needed a little cleaning. Plus there were maybe 5-7 bottles of bathroom cleaner underneath the shelf. Anyone including kids could get into them. Other than that, we will definitely be back!

Stopped here on our way back to Texas for a quick breakfast. Atmosphere was great. So cute & had a large variety of coffees to choose from. My daughter ordered the waffles with a pecan strudel on top and absolutely loved them. Biscuits and gravy were not my favorite. The service was great. The food was plated nicely however lacked flavor. Not sure we'd go back for a traditional breakfast but for something sweet & a coffee, might be something to try.

One thing I noticed was that tables weren't being cleaned after customers left, which made it difficult to find a clean place to sit. Service is fairly limited. You order at the counter, grab your own coffee, and bus your own table. The staff simply brings your food out once it's ready, so don't expect traditional full table service. I don't think I've ever seen scones and gravy on a breakfast menu, so I had to try it. The gravy was delicious with plenty of sausage flavor. The eggs, however, were a bit bland. I also sampled their potato pancake--it had an interesting flavor, though I couldn't quite figure out the mystery ingredient. My husband ordered the Stay Classy Norman. Their house-made English muffin isn't your typical English muffin; it's much softer, almost like the bread used for a torta. I also had the dirty chai. It was good and thankfully wasn't overwhelmed by cinnamon, though it could've used a bit more tea flavor.
