SWOOOOP SWOOOOP! in Miami? Save this number: 305-409-6636 I'm sure everyone is trying their best to do good things for the environment and i'm sure even more people are trying to save a buck when they can. Enter Swoop! Need a ride in the SoBe vicinity? Call them up! If you're traveling in the designated area (from 1st to 23rd, ocean drive to the bay) this little golf cart limo will take you where you need to go... for FREE! Call ahead if you need a ride, you might have to wait a while. But when they're ready to pick you up, listen for the SWOOP SWOOP to know that they're there. Be prepared, its a fun ride. and don't forget to tip your driver!

Miami finally took a page from Orlando! Swoop, Swoop! Yes, you will think these upscale golf cart pedi cabs are insane when they drive by and everyone is yellping "Swoop, Swoop!" and jamming away while being carted to their next location on Miami Beach. However, it will lure you in with the fun it bring to transportation and the fact that it's FREE! Yes, FREE! Tips only. No matter how many people you have, only your generous tip is required to have a fun and quick ride to your next destination. It's a mini club and each driver just loves their job, you can tell and isn't that awesome when someone is smiling because they are happy about their job? Love that! The lights at night time just make you feel like you are in da club while you are on your way to da club but saving your feet from the walk. Yes, the music is loud, the drivers are fun and you have to wear your seatbelt, not only cause they are quick, but because you don't want to fall out while you are dancing!!

last night in Miami!

On a total whim, we caught a Swoop cab our last night in SoBe. It's COMPLETELY FREE (just tip the driver, duh) and the music is POPPING. We went for a joyride down Ocean Drive and had an amazing time. It's so much cheaper than a regular cab, and they drive down the streets of SoBe frequently - it's fairly easy to catch one. If you can grab one, DO IT.

The farthest we took Swoop was from Lincoln Rd to Joe's Stone Crab so they do go quite a distance.

Ah, Briteline Station. A yellow explosion of everything you didn't ask for in a travel hub…read more Aesthetically, it's like a lemon threw up and said, "NEON." It's a lot to handle, honestly. If airports are elegant chaos, Brightline is... well, a well-intentioned chaos with a touch too much flair. The smell? Oh boy. I don't know if they're going for "fresh" or "citrusy," but it hits you like a scent bomb that's somehow both overwhelming and... confusing? I'm not sure whether I'm in a train station or a high-end cleaning product store. Bathrooms? Peak. They were actually the highlight--clean, functional, and definitely the only place where I felt my dignity was intact. But when you have to do your business on a train with moving bathrooms, it adds a level of adventure I didn't ask for. The whole "swaying while you use the necessary " thing is a unique thrill, though. The store? Closed early the morning Now, let's talk about the train itself--big, comfy, and pretty solid for a ride. The seats are spacious, and the vibe is more "luxurious commuter" than "who's-holding-my-seat" chaos. Would I return? Well, I guess. The train's solid, and the station's got character... even if that character is a bit much. But hey, it's an experience, and sometimes you have to embrace the madness.

I was able to catch the trolley a couple of times, but no matter what time of day I caught it, It was packed. Standing room only. Sometimes it was so packed that the driver just passed me at while I was at the stop and just waved me off. The trolley was relatively clean,, but it appears that there are not many rules, at least ones being enforced. I saw people on the trolley with lots of luggage and even a motorized scooter. The trolley has clearly marked stops, for the most part, but appeared to not be on any type of schedule. There would be 30 to 40 minutes between trolleys, then you would have trolleys 2 back to back. I would say that I was able to catch the trolley about 50% of my attempts. You can track the trolley's movement via the app to keep you updated as to where they are at in real time. The trolley is ADA compliant and most have a lift in the back. They also have A/C, which is a plus. I almost wish that they would charge a small fee like a dollar to ride, to free up some space. It appeared that some people were riding because they were just bored. Anyway, I love this concept and that people have an affordable way to get around the city. I just wish there was more space available on them and that heir schedule was more reliable.
