I like the experience of having my daughter come using the Amtrak what it bothered me was the delay that she had to go through the entire day. But other than that it was A good service and affordable too.

When I tell you the PROFESSIONALISM at this station was AMAZING‼ I'm. So impressed, met a young man as lady who was very friendly and welcoming patient and the epitome of customer service. Crystal at the door was DA BOMB!!!!! They made me wish I was traveling on the train unforced I was dropping someone off but I really enjoyed my conversation with the staff and watching them handle difficult situations with such professionalism!!!

So, as anyone who has had a conversation with me in the past 4 months can tell you, I am obsessed with train travel. Yes, before I even got on the freakin' Amtrak, I was in love. My puppy love deepened when I actually got on the 98 Northbound one early muggy Miami morning, headed to Orlando. Size check for bags? Tiny liquids travel bag? 40 oz in my purse?? No problem. Old dude with two fishing poles hanging out of his bag? No problem. Well, the fishing poles part is true, but sadly I didn't bring a 40. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Seriously tho, the most pleasant boarding experience I have had, well maybe ever? when traveling in this country. The seats are insanely roomy, recline almost all the way and even have a leg rest that pops up to support you legs. I was way too excited to sleep tho. There's even a lil' tray, with power outlets at each row. Which is great because I almost killed my battery taking 800 photos of the train yard and every train track along the way. You can get up and walk around change, change cars and even go hang out with some dudes playing cards and drinking beers in the cafe car. I'm telling you it was social hour in there! Everyone was chatting it up with strangers and telling tales of riding the rails, where they came form and where they were going. Sooo... drinking beers at 10am and chatting it up with strangers on a train?? These are my people! The ride home was equally as awesome. And after a weekend of day drinking and going out, I was actually able to take advantage of the reclining seats and slept like a baby. Every single employee was so friendly and loved to talk about Amtrak, from the guy at the ticket counter, to the stewards walking around, to the cafe workers. It's just such a laid back and enjoyable experience. I would recommend the Amtrak to anyone who isn't in a hurry, has a fairly short trip, and isn't afraid to talk to strangers.

Small and easy station to maneuver in and out of Miami. While Miami is a large city, it definitely lacks a "union station." This Amtrak location is nowhere near any of Miami's good attractions. In fact, it is far out-of-the-way from anything touristy. This location is actually in a bad neighborhood. However, it is small and maneuverable and parking is free. It is also very easy to get in and out of when traveling.

An efficient enough site where two rail lines cross and can easily be used by both - and resultingly, densifying neighborhood that surrounds it. The staff is usually always very helpful and kind. The main criticism is that the trains don't come frequently enough! As to the actual station, as usual for a Tri-Rail station there's not enough benches... or trash cans. The Metro-side's construction often takes too long and I'm seriously concerned about the accessibility as a result. In addition, there's also so much anxiety if the train is coming and the trains don't run late enough. But it's such a net positive to have rail options (with signage and audio message in three (3!) languages) in this urban-surburban-car-dominated-megaopolis - and I support it fully and want MORE investment in stations like this to make it better - and have two lines cross like this is superb.

My kids and I took the train from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale Airport. It cost us $5/ person and was very easy. You have to take a tram at MIA to the Transportation Center to catch the train. It is very easy to find. You just have to follow the signs. I purchased my tickets on the platform via a machine. We had our luggage with us, too, and there were no issues. The train was clean and was pretty wide open. It was also right on schedule, and they had armed security on the train. People bring their bikes on the train and secure them on racks. Once we got to the Fort Lauderdale Airport Station, we had to take a bus to the actual airport. The bus was packed, but it was only like a 5-minute ride. My little and I really enjoyed the ride. A few times, there's been delays, but as a general rule, these commuter trains are really easy to use. As a general rule, it costs $5 OW if you travel 3 zones, but on weekends, you can get the full day pass for all 6 zones for a whopping $5. Great deal ! If you are an infrequent user, you can buy a paper ticket at the train station (usually on the platform) using credit card or cash. These commuter trains have two levels and most of them have one car dedicated to placing bicycles, with the appropriate racks inside the car. The Tri-Rail connects Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The Tri prefix in the name refers to the three counties served by the railroad: Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade. Tri-Rail is managed by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) along CSX Transportation's former Miami Subdivision, the line is now wholly owned by the Florida DOT. The 70.9-mile-long system has 18 stations along the Southeast Florida coast, and connects directly to Amtrak at numerous stations, and to Metrorail at the Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer station and at Miami Intermodal Center. In 2021, the line had a ridership of 2,800,100, or about 11,800 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2022.

I was on the bus thinking I'm leaving Miami Dade to go to Tri-Rail but I came back to where I was just picked up. I was trying to go take the bus and get off at the main downtown city. Luckily, there were nice passengers that noticed I was a lost tourist so they helped me out and said, 'yes you're on the correct bus, just stay on.' And they let me know which stop to get off of. I felt safe on the bus then with the helpful passengers around me. I suggest changing the map that's hanging on the bus. It was so confusing because I was looking for a Bus# and couldn't see any bus #'s on the actual train where the license plate is, nothing. I usually have no problem getting around and can follow a map, but the announcements weren't in sync with the Bus # I was trying to find and something was just completely off. Hopefully this gets fixed.

I'm not sure whether I'm in a train station or a high-end cleaning product store. Bathrooms? Peak. They were actually the highlight--clean, functional, and definitely the only place where I felt my dignity was intact. But when you have to do your business on a train with moving bathrooms, it adds a level of adventure I didn't ask for. The whole "swaying while you use the necessary " thing is a unique thrill, though. The store? Closed early the morning Now, let's talk about the train itself--big, comfy, and pretty solid for a ride. The seats are spacious, and the vibe is more "luxurious commuter" than "who's-holding-my-seat" chaos. Would I return? Well, I guess. The train's solid, and the station's got character... even if that character is a bit much. But hey, it's an experience, and sometimes you have to embrace the madness.
