An efficient enough site where two rail lines cross and can easily be used by both - and resultingly, densifying neighborhood that surrounds it. The staff is usually always very helpful and kind. The main criticism is that the trains don't come frequently enough! As to the actual station, as usual for a Tri-Rail station there's not enough benches... or trash cans. The Metro-side's construction often takes too long and I'm seriously concerned about the accessibility as a result. In addition, there's also so much anxiety if the train is coming and the trains don't run late enough. But it's such a net positive to have rail options (with signage and audio message in three (3!) languages) in this urban-surburban-car-dominated-megaopolis - and I support it fully and want MORE investment in stations like this to make it better - and have two lines cross like this is superb.

I call customer service and she tells me that it is my fault that I should have shown up earlier. What?!? No apologies. No ownership. Just push the blame. If you want a great job, sign up for them. Where else can you close early and still be paid?

While I am sure they pass inspection yearly, they could still use an upgrade. For one they are way too small. When my son was stroller age, I could barely fit his stroller in the elevator. The wheels were barely able to fit through the elevator doors. Transportation itself is ok as long as the trains are not late or stuck on the track. Perhaps this was the motivation to replace the older the trains for newer ones. While I have seen the implementation of newer trains, all trains have not been replaced. I rode two older trains today that reeked of urine and were a little dirty. I am happy to see that they upgrading the trains however. I hope they keep that same energy and give the metro rail stations a makeover.

If you take the orange line train north from here you will be headed to the Miami International Airport. It isn't in the safest neighbors so would recommend not going late at night and preferably going with someone. Would recommend coming to this location if you have to head to the airport.

My kids and I took the train from Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale Airport. It cost us $5/ person and was very easy. You have to take a tram at MIA to the Transportation Center to catch the train. It is very easy to find. You just have to follow the signs. I purchased my tickets on the platform via a machine. We had our luggage with us, too, and there were no issues. The train was clean and was pretty wide open. It was also right on schedule, and they had armed security on the train. People bring their bikes on the train and secure them on racks. Once we got to the Fort Lauderdale Airport Station, we had to take a bus to the actual airport. The bus was packed, but it was only like a 5-minute ride. My little and I really enjoyed the ride. As I mentioned, it was a very easy and relaxing ride. It was a very easy and relaxing ride. I will be using this train a lot to get between FLL and MIA from now on.

A few times, there's been delays, but as a general rule, these commuter trains are really easy to use. As a general rule, it costs $5 OW if you travel 3 zones, but on weekends, you can get the full day pass for all 6 zones for a whopping $5. Great deal ! If you are an infrequent user, you can buy a paper ticket at the train station (usually on the platform) using credit card or cash. These commuter trains have two levels and most of them have one car dedicated to placing bicycles, with the appropriate racks inside the car. The Tri-Rail connects Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The Tri prefix in the name refers to the three counties served by the railroad: Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade. Tri-Rail is managed by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) along CSX Transportation's former Miami Subdivision, the line is now wholly owned by the Florida DOT. The 70.9-mile-long system has 18 stations along the Southeast Florida coast, and connects directly to Amtrak at numerous stations, and to Metrorail at the Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer station and at Miami Intermodal Center. In 2021, the line had a ridership of 2,800,100, or about 11,800 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2022.
